Vintage Kight/Allied Radio KG-600B Tube Tester (1968)
A nice well kept Vintage Knight KG-600B Tube Tester by Allied Radio of Chicago. The Tester does power up. Though I have no tubes to test. The unit has all the instruction booklets, the original Warranty and the original Sales Receipt dated April of 1968. The outer case shows normal signs of use. The latches are solid and work well but show some signs of rust. The tester weighs 11 pounds 8 oz. If shipping is less than indicated on the listing I will refund the difference. HEATHKIT TC-2 VINTAGE TUBE TESTER VG + CONDITION WORKS, NEEDS ADJUSTMENT
HERE'S A VERY NICE TUBE TESTER AT A BARGAIN PRICE. It does need some knowledgeable TLC however. As you can see this tester is in VG+ to excellent original condition. Case is fine. Roll chart exceptional. All lettering. Knobs, etc. mechanically OK. No loose switches, etc. Inside the unit is very clean and shows no signs of shop abuse, such as smoke or being left on continuously. The mystery is it will test some tubes exactly as you'd expect and some it doesn't! It may be a poor solder joint or a switch contact that I've overlooked. Moreover, I've given it a general cleaning and inspection and still haven't located the intermittent problem. As mentioned the roll chart is smooth and still very white indicating low use. The meter is in fine shape with no signs of abuse and few scratches. The transformer shows no signs ... moreof rust/corrosion and runs very cool and quiet. Up for auction is a vintage Knight tube tester It is a model KG 600 b. It is in good as found condition. Purchased from a recent garage sale. The previous owner told me it works. I have turned it on and it does work in that respect. I have not run tests on it. I know nothing at all about old electronics and I know even less about vacuum tubes. Also I have no tubes to test. The exterior or the case is dirty and dusty, but the inside is pretty clean. The lid/top of the case has the previous owners initial painted on. The case is good and solid, there is no breaks or repairs. There is some surface rust on the hinges and closing clasps. there is some spots of the faux leather cover coming loose. JACKSON TYPE 648A TUBE TESTER For your consideration. We are offering a vintage vacuum tube tester. Partially tested to be in working condition. I powered it up. It adjusts properly to my line voltage. I tested an old 6E5, seems fine, nice bright display and 110% reading. Then I tried a 76 triode and it came up 90% Then I tried a 12AU7 and it came up 5% but it tested great on my EICO 628. So I figure it needs restoration. All the buttons seem to be working good, some were sticking at fist, but got better as I kept working them. So it has good transformers. Good meter and good controls. Schematic on the bottom, inside. Clean chassis internals. Heck, the handle isn't even broken. OK, the case cover is rough. That's easy. Overall, restoration should be pretty inexpensive. Full service/restoration/calibration is recommended. Bonus! Comes ... morewith a Walsco No. 1960 Nuvistor adapter! This is a great tester. Easy to work on. I just acquired a TV7. Radio City Products Model 309 Dynoptimum Test tube tester. Includes 6 sheets of tube data, the operating instructions are glued to the inside lid. The tester powers on and the meter will set to the line adjust point and this will test tubes but it needs repairs. The"LV Control" to adjust the line voltage has dead spots and the"Shunt Control" is flaky at best, all other switches/controls appear to function just fine, when testing known good tubes the meter reading is lower than expected, for some much lower. This is 73+ years old and appears to be all original, other than a couple of marks the test panel and meter show no real wear, the case is very decent for its age with a few tears in the tolex especially on the corners and bottom edge, latches work good and it has a good handle, power cord needs replaced, a very decent ... morevintage tester for its age and worthy of being restored. Vintage PRECISION APPARATUS CO Series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester
For your consideration is one vintage Precision Apparatus Company series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester. It weighs almost 15 lbs. unpacked. The case laying down is 12 3/4" wide x 13 3/4" deep x 6" tall. The wood case has scratches from use and one tiny chip. Shown in the pictures, but is intact. The AC cord is dried out and should be replaced. The"line adjust" control and knob are missing, the 2 wires that were attached to it inside are taped off. The cabinet had 2 sets of 4 rubber feet originally. The four when sitting horizontally are all removed. There is one of the four missing for vertical position. It looks like there was a metal label on the outside gone as well. I don't see why someone with a little electronics savvy wouldn't be able to fix this with little effort.

Available for sale is a Heathkit tube tester. Model TC1. The unit appears to be complete(with the exception of the plastic selector knobs) and in decent cosmetic condition for it's age. Vintage Superior Model TV-11 Tube Tester. Tester powers up and meter moves to center of dial. I followed the instructions carefully to test for a short. But first tube glowed for a second and then went dark. 2nd attempt had the same results. I removed tester from it's case and found inside a part in terrible condition. see photo 7 with arrow) I am not into circuitry, but it could be a voltage regulator. I could not find any other visible defects or burn sites in the wiring, but again I have no knowledge in this area. I do know if tester cannot be repaired. it is full of useful parts, and the cabinet is very solid. Photo 5 shows one missing rubber foot. And photo 6 shows 2 missing rubber feet. Look carefully at photo 3 and you can see 2 tiny screws are missing from edge of top. Photo 8 is just some parts I found in cabinet.have no idea ... moreif they are good. Here we have a vintage Heathkit Vacuum Tube Voltmeter. Model V-7. The meter is in very good shape. Outside is dusty, inside is very clean, with no battery damage. There are a couple of scuffs on the meter cover, but no cracks or breaks. The ac power cord has tape on the plug end as well. I cannot tell if the meter is accurate, since I do not have the probes, but it does power up when plugged in, as the indicator light comes on. EMC vintage tube tester measures 8.5 x7.25 x 3 inches. This is one of four vintage tube testers I found in an old house I recently purchased. I had a successful auction of a non working tester last week. I have little knowledge about electronics and was reluctant to use a liquid cleaner on tester. I'm sure it can look a little better. The only physical defect I can see is what I call the top of tube tester. One end has a chip. see photos 10 and 11) I checked 4 tubes from a vintage working Motorola radio and followed the manual instructions very carefully. you can download complete manual from internet. just search EMC tester manual) One tube was questionable on the shorts test. VINTAGE HICKOK TUBE TESTER MODEL 600 - FIXER UPPER OR PARTS - POWERS UP, NO LID!
Up for auction is a vintage Hickok tube tester Model 600. This unit has a missing lid/cover. The 5Y3 and 83 tubes are in working order. But the 83 is probably on its last legs, just an FYI. The tubes are dated 0-43 and 0-50. The meter is in working order too. Some mounting screws are missing and the case has normal wear, scratches, and a few gouges. The scroll works and is dated 12-1-56. All knobs and switches are in tact and appear to be functional. I was able to power this unit up without any fuss as you can see in the pictures. I tested three different tubes.80. 6CG7, and 6F6G. After testing the three tubes, I found the readings a bit lower in comparison with my TV7 tester. The worst reading was the first side of the 6CG7 as this tube is in good condition(both sides) but came up with a false bad. I also had trouble with testing a 12AX7, ... morewhere neither side gave me a reading for whatever reason. I believe all this unit needs is a good cleaning and calibration and some TLC. Unfortunately. I have no know-how in performing these things. This would make for a good candidate as a fixer upper or you may be inclined to use it for parts. The choice is yours.
