Vintage Precision Apparatus Model 700 Tube Battery Tester radio tv papers
This vintage tube tester is in great cond. It is a Model 700 made by Precision Apparatus Co. Brooklyn NY USA. All knobs and dials and roller work smoothly. I have powered this tester up and it does power up. The needle on the gauge moves. It is not broken or stuck. The wooden box has dovetail corners and is in great cond. Box has a Sylvania decal.Handle hinges and closures are all great. It has a leather handle. The power cord has hardened and the outer coating is cracking off however it does work.This is a really nice tube tester in a really nice box. As with all electrical items I sell I cannot guarantee it works only that it does power up. There is an instructional booklet and it says Operating Instructions for Series 700. There is age wear to the outer wooden box(see photos) and age wear on the inside but everything looks to be in great shape. There are two wires with plug ins in the box(one red wire/one black wire) see photo) and they appear very old with some damage. The tester is about 10"x9"x4.5" The inner panel reads"SERIES 858 PRECISION APPARATUS CO. INC ELMHURST L.I. N.Y. USA" The outer panel is stamped"MODEL 858 SERIAL 2550" I do not know anything about these pieces of equipment so if I have left something out please ask me. I do not know how to test these things. Tube tester precision apparatus audio stereo guitar amp hi-fi model 612
This tube tester is in decent condition for it's age. I tried it with several different tubes and it appears to work correctly. I did not try every socket and would assume the switches could use cleaning. There are five paper rolls beside the one in the machine. there is also an ad from 1958 for the company and a letter dated 1972 checking for an update. The case has some deep scratches and the hinges are missing from the cover. The original foil tag is still on the handle as well. Thanks for looking.

This is a vintage tube tester Precision Apparatus Model 912. I know nothing about it. So I am selling for parts or repair only. I don't even know how to test it. I have a working tube tester, another model, so I'm not really interested in researching using another unit. It came from an electronics repair shop. There is a manual, and a lot of notes inside box. Box has seen better days, but is still functional. Actually an easy fix if you want to spend the time in putting new veneer on it. Vintage PRECISION APPARATUS CO Series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester
For your consideration is one vintage Precision Apparatus Company series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester. It weighs almost 15 lbs. unpacked. The case laying down is 12 3/4" wide x 13 3/4" deep x 6" tall. The wood case has scratches from use and one tiny chip. Shown in the pictures, but is intact. The AC cord is dried out and should be replaced. The"line adjust" control and knob are missing, the 2 wires that were attached to it inside are taped off. The cabinet had 2 sets of 4 rubber feet originally. The four when sitting horizontally are all removed. There is one of the four missing for vertical position. It looks like there was a metal label on the outside gone as well. I don't see why someone with a little electronics savvy wouldn't be able to fix this with little effort.

Description: Up for grabs here is a Precision Apparatus Company Model 912 vacuum tube tester. Cosmetically. It shows lots of wear and there is some surface rust. The wooden enclosure has some dings and scratches on it. Electrically and functionally, it seems fine. The internal wiring is aged but still complete and intact and the two pronged power cable is whole and solid. There is a 9 pin adapter for tubes like the enduring 12AX7. The adapter cable jacketing is cracked but the internal wires are still good. Included with this test is a large amount of original documentation from the late 40s to the late 60s. The unit seemed to belong to Carl Howard of Schenectady. NY. His address is printed on several of the documents. The documentation includes operating instructions, schematics, tube charts with updates, and even special offers for purchasing ... morestereo kits. This is a Precision Apparatus 10-60 tube and transistor tester. I tried it on 3 tubes. A 6L6, a 5Y3 and a 12AX7. It worked and gave reasonable results, but calibration is not guaranteed. I did not try testing any transistors. It is one of the last, and most complete testers that Precision made and covers many tube types. This is the one to have if you're looking for a high end emmisions tester. The case is a little beat up( see pictures) but solid and there are some wear marks and scratches on the face of the tester. Up for bids is an old Precision Apparatus Company Series 920 Tube and Set Tester in original wood case. Also included with this tester are the Tester Manual. Two 8-pin to 7-pin adaptors and an old tube socket. The manual includes all the settings for most tubes as well as complete tester instructions. This tube tester also has the scroll with the tube settings on it and a battery tester. The scroll still works very well. The case is missing the handle and there is a couple of places where the veneer has peeled off. The case also shows wear as if it was well used at one time. The unit seems to function just fine. Up for bid is a clean. Working Precision Apparatus Co. tube tester that came from an estate of a local Ham operator who was very fussy about his equipment. This is a very versatile tube tester because it can test a wide range of tubes from the 1920's all the way up to 1978. Setup information is readily available on line from Chris's Old Radios at no charge(for private use) This is a"dynamic" emissions type tester using their proprietary"Electronamic" testing circuit. The test results compare very closely to results I get using my B&K 707B tester. See the second picture showing testing of a 6CA7/EL34 from my Dynaco amp. Precision Apparatus PACO 612 Tube & Battery Tester, Calibrated Fixed Tested NICE
Here is a very nice PACO tube tester. It's the Model 612 tube and battery tester. I haven't done much with PACO gear(though I'm totally dependent on their C-20 capacitor tester) But based on the shiny chrome faceplate this looks to be a later production run of the venerable 612 emission tester. This is a nice tester. It beats my trusty old EICO 625, that's for sure. I toyed with the idea of swapping out the 625 for the 612 for my quick bench tester. still might happen. We'll see how the sale goes. This tester has the following sockets: Octal Loctal 7& 9 Pin Miniature 4. 5, 6& 7 Pin Large Base Acorn Subminiature(8-pin pencil tube) 7 pin in-line Subminiature It will test most. If not all, rock and roll tubes and antique radio tubes including 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 6BQ5(EL84) 6CA7(EL34) KT-66, KT-88, 6550, 5881, 6146, ... more7025 etc. I tested a tube in every socket. I have a standard weak 6CA7(EL34) that I use to judge testers. This tester got it right. Checked leaky and good capacitor. The 612 had no trouble identifying which one was which. The battery test also worked. I am confident this tube. Condenser and battery tester is fully functional. The meter is very nice. The movement is very smooth and repeatable. Overall. This unit very nice as you can see from the pictures. The case has some scrapes and marks but is very solid. All feet are there. They're not a exact match but close. The handle, latches and hinges are very nice and fully functional. If you like PACO tube testers. See the 654 I've got listed in the Vintage Electronics category. US Only. UPS Ground is quoted. Welcome-up for bids is a Series 920 Electronamic tube tester. Made by the Precision Apparatus Company in New York. Circa 1940 This tube tester has NOT been tested. Mostly because of the frayed electric cord. I have no reason to believe it will not work. Purchased from an estate auction from a 60yr old that suddenly passed away. He had 100's of these types of things(Ohm meters, volt meters, tube testers, etc) Look carefully at the pictures. As mentioned. The cord is frayed. It is missing one of the little rubber"feet-stoppers" on the back edge of the lid. It is also missing the handle. The case is a poor/fair condition, considering its age. The scroll moves freely and all the knobs turn easily. Box measures about 13x13x6 and weighs a good 15lbs. Most economically way to ship this would be FedEX. But will give a Priority Mail ... moreoption as well. with packing material, it will weigh about 20lbs. It also says it is a"Series EV-20 V.T.V.M AND MULTI-RANGE TEST SET" The meter looks to be in good condition by its appearance but does not work. This action is for the meter only. PRECISION APPARATUS 10-12 TUBE TESTER - RECAPPED/RESTORED! - ORIGINAL WOOD CASE
RECAPPED! Fully restored. Everything works perfectly! All lights, functions, and roller chart work great. All sockets cleaned and tested. 50+ tubes tested on this unit to confirm perfect operation. Very clean cosmetically. The unit has had all moving parts internally cleaned and de-oxit'd to work as new. All insides were thoroughly treated with CRC electronics cleaner to rid any old dust or grim! There is a little bit of chemically smell left over from the substances I used to clean inside. But that will air out over time. The meter is a brand new NOS beautiful Simpson replacement with a clean bright white background. And is an exact match of the specifications as well as deflection/scaling of the original meter. I personally like the looks of this one anyways. The original meter was dead internally so i replaced it. The scaling is such ... morethat.4 and down is the"red/bad, 4 to.6 is the"yellow, and.6 and up is"green/good. Very easy! This unit works like new and will provide years of reliable operation! This model is legendary as well. It's like having a Hickok. Thanks!

Precision Tube Tester Model 912 Made in Elmhurst. NY USA Selling for a friend. This was used by her father in law, she thinks in the 1930-40s? When plugged in the light comes on and the needle moves to the middle(see photo) I have no tubes to test this. So sold as is. Case is in good shape. Very heavy!
