This Conar 223 works pretty good. I tested a few different tubes in it and it measured right. Has a short test and the scroll works well. Case could be in better shape. But it does work!

The case shows some signs of wear and tear which is normal for the age of the unit, however the interior/face is very clean as you can see in the pictures listed below. This unit powers up perfectly and everything looks to be in working order. However. Since we do not have the equipment to calibrate the unit or fully test it, in accordance with eBay policy it will sold for parts or repair. As it is untested. The tester in in excellent working condition. It's beautiful, I don't know that a guy could ask for much more. It comes with the original build books, and even the supplementary tube charts. The inside shows very little signs of use, the outside has just a few scuffs. Only other thing worth mentioning, 2 of the rubber stick on feet have come off the case. The tester hasn't been used since the early 80's. I can't say it enough, excellent condition. Thanks for looking! Conar model 223 vacuum tube tester. Included are the assembling and using manual and a sumplementary tube setting chart in addition to the built in scroll. I tested this unit with a good and bad 12AX7 and 6L6 tube. The good 12AX7 tested good and the shorted 12AX7 tested shorted. The good 6L6 tested weaker than it should have so I tried another one with the same results. They both tested just in the green but test strong on my Hickok 539C. Not sure what is going on there and I don't know if it could be adjusted. The shorted 6L6 tested shorted. I also tried a 6Y6 and it tested weaker than it should also. So what you see is what you get.
