I can be a little slow sometimes if real life intrudes, but I generally turn things around pretty quick(within a day) and I always try to take care of my customers. Check my feedback. I am unable to test tube tester. B) CORDS- Power cord. Volt meter leads(the black one has some damage but still works) TV picture tube socket& a multi lead cord. C) MANUAL- Has damage as shown in photos 8. 9& 10 but is still legible. D) CASE- Shows wear but no real damage. Latch works properly. Needs cleaned. The Tester is in excellent condition complete with all Cables including the Test Leads. AC Cord, and Tube Socket, Case with Hinged Case with Handle and working Latch, is in super clean condition with just some light wear only on the Case. I tested with Voltage only, and it works great. Here is a Tube tester by Accurate Instrument of New York. N.Y. It looks like it is very good condition. I have no way of testing it, if you are unhappy with purchase you can return it. It is a tube tester for Radio and T. V. tubes, this is before zip codes. this came from a auction house. The case show wear, the top of case has hole through the skin of the case only about double what the last picture shows, they are only through the skin, not hole through the case. see pictures. This auction is for a vintage Accurate Instrument Co. Inc. tube tester Model 257. It does work, just tested over 200 tubes on it. It even has its original guarantee paper. It comes with operating instructions dated 1/68 and Cisin's New 1959 TV and Radio Tube Substitution Guide. It is clean and comes from a smoke free home. Case in in good condition. Accurate instrument co of NY NY Model 257 of 1968 Comes with operating instructions Vintage With some scratches. Scrapes, and some rust on carrying case. No seen damage on tube tester itself. Having no knowledge of how to operate or test other than plug it in and turn on the power switch. I plugged it in and turned it on and the red power indicator light came on. Vintage Tube tester Accurate Instrument Co. Mod.157 Works good.
Here is a vintage Accurate Imstrument Co. Mod. 157 tube tester. I have taken photos of it testing several different tubes. I tested a 6Q7. 6C5, 6K7, 12BA6, and a 25L6. The readings came out comparable to a Hickock tester. I intentionally tested some different voltage tubes with different settings and tubes that have grid caps. I did not test all the sockets, so I sell this with no garantee and AS IS. The book included is worn and appears to be missing the front and back covers, but seems to be very readable and complete as far as a tube chart goes. The page shown in the one photo is the in the worst condition. I do not have a manual. I did however, when testing the tubes, simply looked up the tube, made the settings, pluged the tube in, turned the tester on, and as the tube warmed up, the meter gave a reading. There is no test button to push) ... moreYou always want to set the voltage first before plugging a tube in to be tested. I see listed on ebay a couple of different manuals for this instrument. I would probably pick one up if I bought this. I would like to also mention that this instrument was apparantly in a damp place, so the latch and hinges have rust. The outside is a little rough, but complete. Please ask questions if you need more info. A nice little tester if you do not want to spring for the bigger dollar more elaborate testers.
