Up for bids is a Superior Instruments TV-12 Trans-Conductance Tube Tester. This unit is super clean. T here are some scratche s on oak case(see pictures for your personal cosmetic evaluation) Tester works well. There is a roll chart for test settings and a n additional list of tubes not included on roll chart. Roll c hart move smoothly. This tester will also test transistors. There is a settings book also included for that. Also included is the o perating instructions booklet. This is a completely solid state tube tester. I t uses a sel e nium rectifier instead of the more common rectifier tube. California bidders are responsible to pay sales tax.

Offered for auction is a nice vintage Precision Tube Tester Model number10-12 serial number 8205 made by the Precision Apparatus Company in the U.S.A. The tester comes with two original Precision Books including a Supplementary Tube Data for tubes that are not included on the built in roll chart and and the other is Tube Test Data which mainly mirrors the roll chart but has lots of other information for tubes not on the chart such as Novars and Compactrons and some later tubes. The tester is in excellent working condition and the front operators panel is actually in very nice original condition showing very minimal wear however the wood case does show obvious wear from years of reliable use. I have used this tester personally in the past and it has always been very accurate with readings consistantly in concert with my Hickok 539C. This also has the original manuals of which there are three. The TT-1A was the top of the line tube tester for Heathkit. This unit works great and readings are comparable to readings on my TV-7B and identical to my recently calibrated Hickok 539C. I tested some 6V6's. 12AU7's 6L6's and 5U4GB rectifier tubes. Cosmetically the tester is in excellent condition. The case is in OK shape with a few tears in the fabric. The panel is very clean with none of the usual wear from excessive use and people grease. The panel looks better than in the photos. This tester will test almost any tube from an 01A to compactrons. This is a nice Military TV-2c(the lastest version) in excellent operating condition. And good cosmetic condition. This is considered by some to be one of the best testers based on the Hickok Gm circuit. I've gone through the complete cal check(there are a few errors in the procedure) and added a few checks of my own. Everything checks out fine and I've tested a bunch of tubes(see the list iin the c/o sheet(last 3 pictures) This includes spare tubes(83 and 6X4) The screen supply rectifier's(6X4) heater is on a winding of the plate/ screen transformer. This causes screen voltage drift as a result of changing the plate fine adjust. This issue is nicely resolved by changing the screen rectifier to diodes, I made a 7 pin plug-in adapter for this. Every switch, pot and meter operate fine. The case has the usual dents and scrapes and ... moreif you're fussy it could use a paint job. The interior and front panel. Including the knobs and meters, are in excellent condition. The roll chart in the lid works very smoothly with no binding. The original manual is in good condition. There are a number of manuals(operating and test) manuals available on the BAMA site: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 and Shipping will be by UPS for 56 lbs from 91784. Here is a very nice B&K tester. Just like one of the ones I use every day. This one is very nice cosmetically and doesn't show much sign of wear. I checked several tubes of different types and the parameters came up very close to mine. It has two books with it in addition to the tube checking chart. One book shows how it works and how to use it and the other is an owner's that includes a schematic. I always tell people who buy these things to clean the control and the switches. This is a True Mutual Conductance tube tester. The unit is perhaps the finest tube tester available or ever produced for the mainstream public and the beauty of this one is that it has been completely refurbished and upgraded by the best in the business on the Triplett 3444 my friends at C. G. Industries in Florida. See the photo of the sticker on the meter it was just calibrated last year and has seen approx. 150 hours use so it is ready to go as it is good for 5000 hrs. after the calibration. That's a lot of tube testing. Tester was brought back to factory specs and I had them add a circuit that doubles the amount of plate current the meter will read. Excellent Rare Old Vintage NRI ~NATIONAL RADIO INSTITUTE~ Model 68 Tube Tester
This is a great looking old model 68 tube tester from the old radio tech's estate. Thia had been in a box for years. The metal holder case is great shape with no dents or bad scratches in it. The latch on the lid works perfectly and holds lid tight closed. Hinges are tight and not loose fitted. This still has all 5 rubber feet that are soft and not cracked or broken. The face plate of this is nearly perfect with no scratches or dirt. The gauge is not cracked or broken and it works. The wires of this are not cracked or broken. I tried this out on a couple different tubes and it worked great on them. All knobs are present and they all move as they are suppose to move. The paper orerating instruction book in the lid is not the best of shape. Some pages are torn and loose from the staples. The leather holder stap on the top of the lid is ... moresoft also. It is not broken and stitching around it is not cut. This is just as I got it so I cannot guarantee it. You are buying this as you see it. It is heavy also. TV-7A/U Military Tube Tester TV-7 Works Excellent & Nice Condition
Military TV-7A/U that is in Excellent working condition and nice cosmetic condition compared to most other than it is missing the clasps that hold the tube data setting book shown in the photos. You will see in the photos it line adjusts perfectly and also is shown testing my 6L6 calibration tube which is rated at 40 and showing a reading of 40 on the meter so it is very accurate and I have tested and sold several tubes here on ebay with this very tester and nothing but great feedback. Jackson 648R Tube Tester-EXCELLENT! 648 Works Great This listing is for a vintage Jackson 648R tube tester in exceptional condition. It works great. And except for some wear on the wood case, it looks nearly new. I have not seen another on eBay in quite some time in this excellent shape. The 648R is one of the more recent versions of the classic Jackson 648 tube tester. This"R" series replaced the"648A in 1958 and was manufactured until 1961. It is preferable to earlier models in that it uses a diode instead of an internal 1S5 tube for calibrating line voltage. So it seldom needs calibration. It also features a Flip/Over tube socket bank. I see no significant defects on the tester- it looks nearly new in all respects except for external case wear. The switches. Knobs, meter, and chassis all look near new. There is almost no ... morewear on any of the plastic or metal parts. The knobs and switches all appear to be original. Paint is excellent near new. There is some very slight corrosion of some of the Philips head wood screws that hold the chassis to the case. The outside of the case has some minor dings and light corrosion as seen in the photos. The case is solid and clean and all the latches. Hinges, handles work great. If you refinished the leatherette exterior the whole thing would look near new. Please contact me with questions or for additional photos. I have used it as my primary tester for about 10 years and have never had a problem. When I first got it I checked it against a friends Hickok and the readings matched very closely. I have had no reason to adjust things since then(in light use. Perhaps 10 tube tests a year) Instructions for calibration are easy to find online if you want to do that. Included on the top cover are the Operation Instructions and an Additional Tube Guide. Here's a very nice Eico 666 tube tester. This is one of the nicest looking ones I've ever seen. Even the case is very nice. Inside. It's had the old caps and diodes replaced and it's been calibrated according to eico specs. Manual is included which also has some chart updates and even the building instructions. The Pictures show it testing a marginal 6L6 and then a new 6L6. The third tube being tested is a new RCA 12AX7. NOTE: the 12AX7 data settings on the chart are wrong. The correct ones are written on the front of the manual.

Hickok 6000A Tube Tester Calibrated& Excellent Condition& All Specs Perfect* Hickok 6000A Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Excellent Condition Information including the manual. Calibration procedures, and updated tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama and elsewhere. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate Gm test results. The two tubes in the tester are both believed to be original to the tester, Hickok 83 and Hickok 5Y3GT, and test as good as new and are balanced. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and appears to have hardly been used. The only adjustment made was the signal voltage which was a little low@ 2 vac so it was increased to 2.5 vac which increased the plate voltage to 152 vdc. ... moreAll the bias voltages@ 100. 75, 50, and 22 are right on as well as the high screen voltage@ 135 vdc, and the low screen at 56 vdc. We use an outside source for the calibration tube and the tester is reading 5475 for Gm and the tube calls for 5475. The shunt dial was lightly tagged about one number higher for the 6k range to show 5475, and the 3k range is 2 numbers higher and double checked with a 6ax7 calibration tube. The 15k range was right on the money and two small black dots were added to the shunt dial. After calibrating the tester the 3k was checked with a 6ax7 calibration tube and the spot marked on the shunt dial was perfectly in line with the new mark. The marks may have changed due to increasing the signal voltage to 2.5 vac, but they are right on the money now. The Hickok 6000A series is fairly simple to calibrate and instructions on calibration. The manual, and updated foreign and domestic tube data is readily available at no charge. The calibration can be done using a DMM as long as shunts are used and this tester was calibrated using both an analog and DMM. I purchased the unit pictured and some vintage stereo equipment from an older gentleman who was moving and downsizing his collection. He was kind enough to take the time and demonstrate with a few different tubes that the unit was in prime working condition. I was planning to start tinkering around with tube amp repair. But I just haven't had time so this beauty must go. I'd rather someone get some use out of it than have it set in my closet. Up for sale is a B&K Model 700 Mutual Conductance tube tester. It is in great shape considering its age. I tested a tube that I had that was new in the box. It showed the tube as Good. See the pictures for more details. It lights up and tests the sample tube OK. I did not try each function so I am selling it as is. It has signs of its age but seems to work. There is a calibration sticker on it but I can not make out the date. See picture. Calibration date looks like 1087 or 1097 but I cannot be sure. B&K 747 Tube Tester..excellent cosmetic and operating condition!!
This is a VERY nice unit! Fully tested showing 5Y3. 12AX7 and 6L6 tubes during test. The results matched up with a calibrated TV-7 tube tester. Good operating instructions and tube setting charts in the lid. The only cosmetic or operating flaws I could find were a few scrape marks on the outer case. All controls operate smoothly and crisply like a new tester. The chassis underneath is very clean also. This is a very easy tester to use, and produces consistently good results.

This unit is in excellent conditions. The case has been oversprayed, it has been tested and is OK working conditions, it is wired to 115 volts, copy of instruction manual is included. Features Uses the mutual transconductance method of measuring tube quality. This is the most reliable method known for assessing tube quality. The TV-10 reads the mutual transconductance directly on the meter in micromhos while the TV-7 only reads a relative number on it's meter. And all original. According to the original owner, this Hickok 6000B was never used. Everything is all original and everything works. Checked the calibration with a 6L6 calibration tube and it was perfect. This unit is solid state and does not require any tubes. The bias is set with the meter rather than a bias pot for higher precision. There is also a calibration pot on the shunt for adjustment instead of having to remark the dial. The case is a little dirty and has some light paint over-spray. This unit has an original three-prong grounded plug and a resting post for the cap wire. Hickok TV-3B/U Excellent Condition Rare Vacuum Tube Tester
Here is a very nice TV-3B/U. Which was made by Hickok. This is quite a rare unit. Especially considering the good condition! Based upon the color of the unit, it was likely made for the US Navy or Coast Guard, but there seems to be a lack of information about this unit due to its rarity. This is physically/electrically similar to the TV-10. It will test all the popular audio tubes and many others for shorts. Mutual conductance, life, gas and noise. Some advantages of this tester over the popular TV-7 series of testers are that it reads directly in Micromhos. The meter was replaced with a new Simpson and much appreciated help was received by the TV-7 guru. Dan Nelson, who helped me have it sourced from his personal supplier, Larson MeterCraft, who duplicated the meter face and calibrated it. The tester works flawlessly, even the ohmmeter, ... morevolt meter and capacitor meter functions are working… Amazing! Switches and sockets are tight and the roll chart is smooth, strong 83 and 5Y3 tubes, and it has a new-grounded line cord. I have checked this against my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7 and this tester’s results compare very favorably. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer TV-3B/U at any price. Thanks for looking. This is an absolutely amazing combination and for the I-177-B to have been recently calibrated. Well, that’s like the icing on the cake! I have checked this against my Dan Nelson just calibrated TV-7 and this tester is right there with it… SO accurate and it reads in Microhos! Now in combining this tester with the MX-949A/U adapter. Which was made for the I-177-B, you can test big amateur radio transmitter tubes right on down to the small 7 pin tubes. Both units have very tight controls, socket pins and it is obvious that they saw very little use. EXCELLENT ONE OWNER HICKOK 539B TUBE TESTER
Let me start of by saying this is from my collection and not maybe it works maybe it dont and all that.I have had this tester calibrated about 2 years ago and used it I think twice since then and it was did by a retired hickok technician.I have plugged it in atleast once a month to keep everything good.This is a one owner tester it came from the original guy who bought it and I will probably be sorry I got rid of it as it works perfect as you can see in the picture testing a new 12ax7 tube.The bottom line is this is way too of a nice tester not to be getting used by someone who will enjoy it so I have deciced to sell it and am firm on the price.The case is solid and in great shape and the hardware on the case does have some rust but no bad at all would come off with some polishing.This is a nice tester but just too big for the area I workin ... moreand test tubes.This tester works perfect and I will guarantee not doa and the roll chart works smooth and all.This test like all electronics is sold as is but guaranteed to work as described and no doa the winning bidder will be very happy and it comes with its original operating booklet.The meters all work flawlessly etc and again this is not someones may woirk and all that.Sold only in the Usa and free shipping packed very very well

And they have very close Tested Mutual Conductance numbers. This was done on a number of Tubes including 12AX7. 12AU7, 12AT7, 6DJ8/6922/7308, 6550, KT88, EL34, GZ34/5AR4 and more. All were very close I will Include a Copy of the Operating Manual along with a List of newer Tubes not listed on[ the excellent working Roll Chart] The Metal Case is in good condition with a few paint scratches and bumps. Really almost very good as I try to be conservative. I will guarentee th the Tester will not be DOA. I can't do the same as to the Results compared to your Tester. TV-7 A/U Tube Tester - Excellent Functional Condition
Excellent functional condition TV-7 A/U. Recently refurbished- all switches cleaned. Critical caps, resistors, and diodes replaced. 7/9 pin sockets and the 83 tube were replaced by Dan Nelson when he had the unit for calibration(completed in Nov. 2014) This is a great unit- everything works well, and the calibration came out very accurate. I hate to get rid of this but while it was at Dan's, someone offered me a TV-7 D/U in almost new condition for a price I couldn't pass up. It's been to Dan's for calibration already so I'm set and don't really need two of these.
