B& K Dyna Jet Tube Tester- Model#606 Working vintage 1970's tube tester. Good condition with a few flaws- please read description. This is in pretty good shape for it's age. The plastic rim around the top cap is broken- it will still plug on and make connection fine. There is some damage where the electrical cord(that plugs into the wall) comes out of the testing unit, the rubbery coating around that is loose. This unit measures 11" x 8.5" and is 4.5" deep(when all closed up) The case shows wear. The snap closure works perfect and keeps the unit secure. The hinges on the back are in great shape as well as the 4 metal feet on the back of the case. The setup chart manual is 50 pages, it is very worn, the cover and back have seperated. The strength of this tester is the ability to rapidly test a bunch of tubes. I replaced all the electrolytic caps with modern units of the same value along with a NOS 6BN8 tube and cleaned all the controls. The previous owner had replaced the 83 rectifier with silicon diodes. And this is acceptable with this model. I did replace them with current production for safety. A few sockets had also been previously replaced as they do wear out. The line cord was a spliced disaster so I installed a new one. I tested it with a variety of tubes using both upper and lower banks. But I did not test all sockets. It was close to my Hickock 6000A in readings so I didn’t mess with the calibration. The owner’s manual gives calibration instructions if it is ever needed, and I will include a PDF of the manual on CD. I noticed in the pictures that the bottom ... morescrew was missing, and I replaced the original screw that I left out when I serviced the tester. Guaranteed for a full refund on return if not as described. And I must be notified within 3 days of receipt. Very nice. Perfectly working B&K 707 tube tester. Comes with tube handbook and original B&K tube chart booklet. Guaranteed to work. Condition is good but this is an older machine so the case definitely has wear and there are going to be some small marks here and there. It's been cleaned but if someone spent some extra effort it would clean up very nice. We are a music shop and have always had repair techs but recently we lost our main guitar amp repair man and this machine has become expendable. It's been at our shop for many. The tester is in good working condition and I have tested tubes on socket 8. 9, 25, 23, and 39. All of the previously stated socks worked fine. I tested the#33 socket and found it was not working and labeled it with a red sticker as seen in the picture. Both of the testers test circuits work and there is some writing on the bottom part of the tester that states EGR 8/22/77. Outside is in pretty decent condition. With one small stain, a very small tear, and a little rust on the latch. Inside is beautiful and spotless. The screws have a little bit of rust. This is a nice working BK 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Solid State Tube Tester. All Switches. Pots, and tube sockets were cleaned and/or tightened. Caig Deoxit was used to clean the contacts. Bulbs for the heater and overload are good. The plastic over the meter is clean and free of scratches! Meter movement is nice and smooth Several known tubes were tested to ensure proper operation of this tube tester. The hinge is tight to open and pops when you do open it. External metal hardware shows some surface corrosion that can be easily cleaned. We have sold and shipped over 50 tube testers over the last 15 years. Not one has ever come back and every customer has been delighted with their testers! This tester will be shrink-wrapped in white foam. Up for sale is a working B&K Dyna Jet 607 Tube Tester. This unit is B&K's clone of the Sencore Mighty Might VII(TC162) You can see an excellent write-up of this unit at TubeSound's website: Overall. This tester is in decent condition and works. The lid has a crack in one of the corners and the case has seen some use. The case is a hard plastic and has held up well. For details of overall condition, please see the pictures. I tested a few tubes- 6A8, 6L6, 6BQ5(EL84) 6CA7(EL34) 6AU6, 6BZ6 and 6JM6. The unit worked for all of these tube types. I posted pictures of some of these tests. The lockout switches and all controls work as they should. I did not extensively test all sockets and settings because there's just too many. Up for sale is a repaired. Tested and working B&K Dyna Jet 607 Tube Tester. This unit is B&K's clone of the Sencore Mighty Might VII(TC162) You can see an excellent write-up of this unit at TubeSound's website: Overall. This tester is in decent condition and works. The lid has a crack in one of the corners and the case has seen some use. The case is a hard plastic and has held up well. For details of overall condition, please see the pictures. I tested every socket except#8 for which I don't have any tubes. I checked the wiring to#8 and it looks fine. In the unusual case that you need to test a 5BC3 tube. I'm pretty sure this socket will also work. The lockout switches and all controls work as they should. Everything tested worked as it should. I calibrated the short and grid leakage circuits. The short and power lights ... morework. The leakage and quality tests worked as expected for all the tubes I tested. As described in the TubeSound blog. I checked the test voltage-load combinations for all LOAD settings A through J. All voltages and resistive loads were well within spec. The original meter was broken and I replaced it with a new meter. It had the same rating but a different faceplate. So I made a faceplate for it to match the B&K original. The grid clip is also a new replacement and not original. Included with the tester is an original Setup Guide which is in good shape. A little dirty from use but very legible. Also included is a bound copy of the Instruction Manual. The manual includes a calibration procedure, parts list and schematic. The manual is easy to read, but the schematic is hard to read. This is a popular model, as it can not only test most of the audio tubes being use today, but quite a few tubes which are used in ham radio. Included with the tester is the original user manual and tube data books. This unit is in decent physical condition for its age. The previous owner had removed the blue paper/cloth from the bottom of the tester. And refinished the wood underneath. He had meant to do the same to the top, but never got around to it. Calibrated BK B&K 707 Dyna-Jet Tube Tester KT88
This is a B&K Dyna-Jet 707 dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. It was just calibrated per the manual. Notice the different tubes under a test(6L6G. EL34 7868) Also look at the shorted 6L6 tube with the Shorts Light glowing. See arrow on the photo) The fabric looks great for age with only a few minor scratches. The front panel shows some wear. This tester will test 7, 9 pin miniature, octal, nuvistor, and compactron tubes. I can email the Instruction Manual and Settings Chart to the winning bidder if desired. One grid/plate lead will be furnished. This will test tubes like 7868, EL34, 6L6G, 12AX7, ECC83, 6SN7, 7591, 6SJ7, KT66, KT88, 5AR4, and hundreds more. I did notice some slight sticking of the meter at half scale. It only did this a few times, mostly if the tester is turned vertical. Ok folks. What we have here is a B&K Dyna scan tube tester. This thing is kinda rough. i took the 3 screws out so you can see the innards. Meter plastic face cover is in 2. But the colored meter face looks good and some glue should take care of the problem.Alot of other issues. I have no idea if this thing can work on not.It did not blow up when I plugged it in but that means nothing. Look at list above of problems. I am selling this as is is where is as a non working but repairable unit. There is no list of settings for different tubes. Look around first before bidding. You may find 1. I repeat. This unit does not work.This for parts or repair.

1965 Vintage B&K Dyna-Jet Model 606 Tube Tester· Great Working Order. § I tested a 6l6gc and 12ax7a and got good results with it. § The face plate and meter are very clean and nice. Includes: o 54 page tube selector manual- about 2600 tubes o Instruction manual o Original parts and price list o Fold-Out schematic· The case is intact. But the pictures show the usual minor"dings" to the surface. Will test all of the commonly used tubes in general use in radio and television sets. In addition it will test many voltage regulator tubes. Thyratron tubes, industrial types of tubes and many of the European types found in modern hi fi equipment. o Each tube is automatically checked for shorts and leakage to approximately one megohm. These tests are made from each element to every other element so that all possible ... morecombinations of shorts can be detected. o Grid emissions. Gas, grid contamination, or obscure grid to cathode leakage are all disclosed by an exceptionally sensitive grid current check. This test will reveal as little as two to three microamperes of current in the grid circuit and can be adjusted for sensitivity of over 100 megohms. o Each section of a multi selection tube is checked separately.
