Radio City Products Model 309 Dynoptimum Test tube tester. Includes 6 sheets of tube data, the operating instructions are glued to the inside lid. The tester powers on and the meter will set to the line adjust point and this will test tubes but it needs repairs. The"LV Control" to adjust the line voltage has dead spots and the"Shunt Control" is flaky at best, all other switches/controls appear to function just fine, when testing known good tubes the meter reading is lower than expected, for some much lower. This is 73+ years old and appears to be all original, other than a couple of marks the test panel and meter show no real wear, the case is very decent for its age with a few tears in the tolex especially on the corners and bottom edge, latches work good and it has a good handle, power cord needs replaced, a very decent ... morevintage tester for its age and worthy of being restored. I believe this model was from the 1950s. Tested& working: I tested this to the extent that I plugged in the tube tester. Heard a very faint hum indicating it was receiving power, inserted a tube, moved some dials and watched the meter jump. By no means do I know how this works or how to properly test a tube. I got this tube tester ... moreat auction. All of the knobs appear to work properly, as none are loose, and I have turned each of them with ease and seeming functionality. This is a older tube tester made by RADIO CITY PRODUCTS. INC. MODEL 808AA. It appears complete except it is missing a filter capacitor underneath, other wise appears complete. The#4 lever is stuck. The roll chart turns OK, and it tests an impressive list of tubes including up to and including 7 and 9 pin minatures. Meter appears to be OK. Wooden case outside is in very poor condition, but solid with all hardward in operational condition. Has the lead for the tube cap. Sold as not working as as-is. This is a nice(emission type) tube tester plus: VTVM Capacitor tester CRT Tester CRT Rejuvenator Comes with a very solid oak case in very nice condition. Was able to test it was working by plugging in. Turning Line voltage control to right and needle moved progressively to right. Includes all leads as shown in photo of inside lid. Serial Number 1353 Seller is unsure whether this machine works completely or as intended. It does look to be very clean and in nice condition for a 50-60 year old piece of electronic equipment. ITEM: A vintage Radio City Products Electron Tube Tester Model 315. SIZE: This wood case measures approximately 17 inches by 13 1/2 inches by 5 inches. CONDTION: It is in fair condition in its original wood case and indicates that it will power up. The line voltage light gets brighter as the line voltage control is rotated but it was not tested for operation. The tester appears to be complete but the original owner removed all the screws holding it to the case sometime in the past. This meter outside measures 3” on a side on the face with the mounting holes at about 2 3/8” The round meter section measures 2 3/4” across. Radio City Products vacuum tube tester. Model 802N. Has sockets for the old 4. 5, 6, 7 pin tubes. 1 Loctal, 1 Octal, 1 7 pin miniature and 1 5 pin minature socket. The case is in good condition but needs refinishing. The meter glass is broken and the needle is all wadded up. I don't beleve that it can be fixed. The power cord is petrified and broken in several places. No manuals or other data. I didn't realize that the unit is backwards in the case till I was taking pictures. Sold AS-IS. Nice little Radio City Products tube and set tester with manual. Manual is rough and has separation. There is also an old photocopy included.
