Radio City 808A/ 808AA Tube& Set Tester It would appear that this tester could be used to test tubes and other electronic functions. It comes with a lead that appears to attach to the back end of a TV cathode ray tube. There is a probe and some other leads as well. One of the pointer knobs is cracked in half. It might be able to be repaired but I will include a similar replacement in case it cannot be fixed. The rear of the wooden case has some mold/mildew staining which may or may not be cleanable. The wooden case appears to be made of oak with very nice box corner joinery. The handle feels nice and solid as are the rubber feet on the bottom. The plastic window for the scroll chart is warped/bowed inward on one side. This tester was pulled from storage and not plugged in or tested in any way- comes with leads and manual as shown- sold ... moreas-is/as-found. This item is a Weston 774-4 Tube Tester and Set Analyzer. The panel is in very good condition. It can be used as a stand alone tube tester or a radio/audio set analyzer. It uses a type 71A tube inside. When used as a set analyzer. The adapter socket for a particular tube(say a 24A would use the 5 pin adapter) is plugged into the socket in the upper right, the tube plugged into that adapter, and a cable coming from the tube tester is plugged into a socket adapter to plug into the radio chassis. Then, voltage and current measurements may be made under operation. Here is some more information about what was tested and included in the sale. TESTING: The line adjust works. The meter works, and tested a 24A and a 12A6 tubes. They tested good, and no shorts were noted. I don't know if the calibration is good or if any components drifted, so ... morethis sale is listed as for parts. But the tester seems to work and may need a bit of refurbishing. The operation is not obvious. And I strongly recommend reading the included Instruction Manual. It will need batteries inside to use the voltmeter function. It was made for the navy by Radio Frequency Labratories of Boonton New Jersey. I took the cover off to take pictures of the internals. Vintage PRECISION APPARATUS CO Series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester
For your consideration is one vintage Precision Apparatus Company series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester. It weighs almost 15 lbs. unpacked. The case laying down is 12 3/4" wide x 13 3/4" deep x 6" tall. The wood case has scratches from use and one tiny chip. Shown in the pictures, but is intact. The AC cord is dried out and should be replaced. The"line adjust" control and knob are missing, the 2 wires that were attached to it inside are taped off. The cabinet had 2 sets of 4 rubber feet originally. The four when sitting horizontally are all removed. There is one of the four missing for vertical position. It looks like there was a metal label on the outside gone as well. I don't see why someone with a little electronics savvy wouldn't be able to fix this with little effort.

I'm not real for sure of the capabilities or the features of this model. I have plugged it in and tested some AA and AAA batteries and that feature does work correctly. The paper scroll does scroll smoothly. Made by Chicago model 532. The case measures shut 15 1/2" by 12 1/2" by 8 1/2" The lid opens and has a mirror attached to it. Overall the operating board and case are in good shape. I have no way of testing the complete capabilities of this unit because I don't have the tubes or the knowledge. Money back if not satisfied. Very Nice TV-7-U Military Tube Tester New Tube Set Voltages Checked Extras
I am selling a a very nice TV-7-U military tube tester with a copy of the military manual. Supplemental Data, and Voltage Alignment Instructions. I picked this one up from a local HAM operator who has had it for a long time and recently had it gone over by another tech buddy in his HAM club and both tubes were replaced and it checked out AOK. It has not been sent off to have a high price alignment but I have every reason to believe it is working properly. I have tested a number of tubes including 6L6 and many audio tubes and I am getting the readings I would expect comparing them to my Hickok and Triplett testers. The case has a dent or two but the paint is very nice and the inside is clean and all sockets are tight. Has a socket saver in the octal socket. The tube chard book is nice and I am including a copy of the military manual and supplemental ... moredata and voltage alignment data. I do not see any tube socket adaptors that may have been with it but it certainly tests the bulk of the tubes you will test and if you are looking at this listing you know the value of a very nice TV-7-U. EICO 625 Tube Tester + 610 Adapter + Complete Manual Set + Charts & Updates, VGC
Here's a rare find. It's a complete. Factory built EICO 625 with a 610 adapter. This unit is fully working and ready to test. I calibrated this tester and found it to be very accurate. It's not missing any parts. The meter works very smoothly and is very repeatable. I tested all sockets except the odd-ball Hytron 5-pin and 8-pin Nuvistor. I don't have any of these tubes. As shown in the pictures. This unit looks to be factory built with final test completed on November 11, 1958. The meter is dated June 20, 1958. The roll chart is 625-09. Overall this tester is in very good condition. All the switches work well. Unit comes complete with manuals. This is probably as complete a documentation set for the 625/610 as you will find.
