I have not been able to properly test it because I do not have any tubes. It does appear to have all its connectors however no manual included. Item is sold as is. This is obvious when you look at the pictures. I doesn’t have the signs of wear from hard use and the sockets are nice and tight. All of the lights work. The detents on all of the switches are crisp and most importantly of all it tests tubes properly. Honestly I have never seen one in this nice of condition. I hope you dig it! Up for bid is this nice looking clean Heathkit TC-2 tube checker. This is going to sell as is because I have no way to fully test this. The light comes on when you turn it on and the needle moves when you turn the Set Line Knob and that's as far I can test this. The red wire coating is cracked and the plastic cover over the needle is scuffed and cracked. Other than that this looks good. There are some instruction papers that are chewed up, there is a Brochure book for 1958 Heathkits. There are three fold out papers with diagrams on them. Tested Working Heathkit TC 1 Dynamic Tube Checker 12AX7 Made in USA
Untitled Document When it comes to tube checkers Heathkit has to be one of the go to names. I have tested this with a number of tubes. Including 12AX7s and it reads correct every time. That being said this little unit can do a lot of tests on a lot of different tubes and I have only tried a couple. The good news is that mechanically everything appears to be in good shape. When testing the switches and knobs all of the detents are crisp. The only obvious flaw is that two of the knobs on the switches on the bottom are missing and there are cracks in the insulation of the tube wire. This tube tester works GREAT! It's a Heathkit TC-3 and like the TC-1 and TC-2. This model has been a work horse. This one has been sitting in my ham shack for many years looking a little forlorn. It needs a new happy home! I have included the tubes that I had on hand. I was going to make a spreadsheet and test all of the tubes and after about 10 tests. I gave up on that idea. Very Nice HEATHKIT IT-3117 Tube Checker Tester RARE and Working Vintage Tubes
Here's a great Heathkit IT-3117 Tube Checker(tester) This is the last of the Heathkit made testers. It tests darn near every tube ever made. 4, 5, 6, pin vintage tubes, miniatures, loctals, and more. This is in very nice clean condition. I tested a few random tubes and got the expected results(they were known good tubes) Obviously I can't test every switch and knob combination and I would imagine if you were going to put this into regular use all the controls and switches, as well as the tube sockets should be cleaned, but it's looking and working good. Worth noting that the original knob for the filament setting is cracked and not on the unit as it slips, but it will be included. The replacement knob has the indicator line in the wrong place in relation to the set screw and flat side of the switch shaft, so there's a small ... morenotch in the skirt of the knob to indicate correct position. So be aware of this, other than that, it's stock and working. Paypal please. Overseas bids welcome but be aware of shipping as it's large and heavy. Any ... moreelectronics for that matter. I purchased it in a lot at auction. I can tell you I plugged it in. The lights came on under the chart(picture 2) and the needle went to center. Well, almost center, in the yellow anyway, as shown in picture 9. The chart is a little off kilter. And when you roll it, it's not always even and dips and rises as you're turning it, and seems loose inside. Maybe there's an adjustment underneath to take up the slack? There is a cut/ splitting in the casing of the red wire in more than one spot. So that will need to be changed. There is a pretty good patina build up on some spots. It surely needs a good cleaning. There is also some cracking at the top of the clear"window" covering the needle as shown in picture 9. Nothing horrible. The case is pretty crappy. The covering is peeling all over and one corner is coming apart or has come apart and barely hanging together. Also. It's clearly been stored in a basement, so has that musty basement smell. It comes with the manual which is hallway decent shape. Certainly useable, and a"Tube Test Data" booklet for Heath Model TC-1& TC-2 for use with roll chart 1-1-66, which this

Replaced leaky Astron 600 volt cap with new Sprague orange drop 5% tolerance 600 volt cap. Cleaned switches and lubed pots. Replaced cracking. Crumbling rubber grommets. Replaced cracking, crumbling grid clip test lead with new silicone high voltage wire. Replaced old, thin clear plastic roll chart cover with premium quality clear acrylic cover. Up for auction is an original Heathkit Tube Checker from Heathkit company in Benton Harbor Mich. This turns on and seems to function properly. Just put in the proper settings for each tube and check several different types of tubes. It has a wooden case in amazing contion. There is some wear on the handle. The unit weighs 12.9 lbs. and is 15 x 15 x 5.5.

HEATHKIT TC1 RADIO TV TUBE TESTER CHECKER
You are bidding on a Heathkit model TC1 tube tester. This has been in storage for many years and the insulation on the power cord dried out and cracked. Where the cord was laying on the front of the tester it left some marks but I think these will clean off. I cut the cord off because all of the insulation was coming off and I did not want someone to plug it in and either harm themselves or the tester. Before I cut the cord off I carefully plugged it in and it did power up and seemed to work fine. I tested a tube with it as you can see in the pics. None of the wires inside the tester are dried out. They are all still very pliable. I included a pic of the inside so you can see that it is very clean. All of the knobs are still on it as well. It does not look like it has been used much at all. Vintage Heath Co. Heathkit Vacuum Tube Tester Checker Model TC-2 With Manual This is a nice vintage Heathkit TC-2 tube tester. It has only been tested to power up. It does power up with no issues. The light behind the tube list comes on and the needle on the meter goes to the yellow area when powered up. No further testing has been done. Overall this does have wear but looks good for its age. Outside case is original and has general surface wear. Corners are beat up and one is especially torn. Looks like someone added tape all the way around or it was put there by the company(looks decorative) Overall size is 14 1/2" x 12" x 6 1/2" The lid inside has a place where it is gaping but still sealed from outside. see last pic) A bit musty smelling.No burning smell hisses or noise.
