Case is decent other than the plastic latch is broken and missing- common for these plastic case's, the inside panel is a little dusty otherwise it looks good, one of the Cutoff knobs is missing a silver center piece- see pic- still functions, and one of the push switches(G1) is a bit sticky, all other switches and controls seem fine. This is an estate find. It seems to be in nice condition. I plugged it in. But nothing obvious happened. I don't know if something is supposed to light or anything. I know nothing about these, or how to test it. The other testers that came from this estate worked fine. It comes with all of the original paperwork. Instruction Manual- Parts and price list- Warranty card- Picture tube chart- RCA Picture tube booklet- A 1995 receipt and some notes. There is also some info that appears to be from a book. The papers are titled"Prolonging the life of TV Picture Tubes" I have other electronics and cool civil war engravings I'm posting today. Vtg HEATHKIT IT-5230 CRT TUBE TESTER AND REJUVENATOR w/ATTACHMENTS ESTATE FRESH!
Up for auction is an original vintage Heathkit model IT-5230 portable CRT Tester and Rejuvenator dating from the 1960's-1970's. Comes with a bunch of original attachments as seen in the photos. Comes in its original carrying case as seen in the photos. The case is in very nice shape and could use a good cleaning. Tester works as it should and appears to have little use over the years. In excellent original shape. Face is in great shape with no dents. No rust, no scratches, no cracks and all the lettering is in great shape. All the buttons work great and gauge faces are in perfect shape. Weighs 7 1/2 pounds unpacked and measures approx. 13 1/2" wide by 5 1/2" tall. Rare tester and is a must for any collector. Found at a recent 85 year estate and was stored away for years. From a smoke free home.
