Vintage Allied Knight Tube Tester Triplett Meter Old Radio TV Octal Big Pin USA. SOLD AS-IS. This is an old Knight tube tester as sold by Allied Radio. It was made in the USA and while I am not sure of the date I would guess it to be late 1950s. There is no model number on it. Though it appears very similiar to 600 series units I have seen. This vintage unit tests 4, 5, 6 and 7"big pin" tubes as well as octal, loktal, 7& 9 pin miniatures. It is not setup for subminiatures, compactrons or nuvistors. The case measures approximately 14"x10"x6" The unit shows some normal wear and tear, the worst damage being a slight bend to the pointer on the meter(see photos. I checked a few tubes with it and found that some seemed to work fine but others did not show any reading at all. But I believe it reads"Jul 25 1945" Solid wood case; very weathered on the exterior. And handle replaced with rope. It did it's job of protecting the contents. The ends of the wire leads for the tube tester both have cracks and chips out of the plastic. No problem, just use a little bit of care when using them. Power plug was damaged. It is replaced. And the fuses were moved inside the cabinet. Internals all in very good shape. No crumbling wires. Corrosion, or loose solder joints. Analyzer/ Meter tried out with both an AC and DC power source and works. Ohm meter works with the low ranges. The R x 10.000 range for the ohm meter won't work until it gets 2- 7.5 volt batteries or the equivalent. Here is a vintage meter for the series 920 Electronamic tube& set tester made by the Precision Apparatus Co. of Elmhurst. NY. It measures decibels, AC& DC voltage, ohms, tubes and diodes. It measures 4.625" wide by 4.125" high. It has mounting screw centers of 4" by 3.625" The mounting hardware is included. It has a nice black bakelite case with no cracks, chips or hairlines. The glass cover is in nice shape as well. It has a screw adjustment for zeroing the needle on the front. This would make a great replacement for your non-working meter! Vintage Eico Model 666 Transistor Vacuum Tube Tester Meter
Eico 666 Tube Tester. I plugged it in and nothing happened. I have no way to test the unit. The fuse looks to be good. I can't tell if the bulb is good. Or not. Everything is complete except for the rubber ring that protects the power cord. I did retape the paper to the rollers and that works fine, now. The case has rust, scrapes, and scratches. Fantastic working 539C tube tester has 2011 manufacture meter +extras
I have decided to part with my 539C very reluctantly(serial# 396-00941) but it needs to see more use than I give it these days now that I have the at1000. This tester has been recently serviced and calibrated in Jan 2012 by Kara Chaffee and has a brand new production glass front meter bought from Roger Kennedy(receipt included for both) the original meter was the newer square plastic one(the kind you do NOT want) and this is a later model tester with the smooth face. Comes with original manual. Obsolete and foreign tube charts. This tester functions in every way and quite well, specs on tests have matched my at1000. I am including a vintage pair of headphones to use with the noise test function and a DC mA meter to plug in to the plate current jacks when reading this measurement. This will not be cheap but will be fully double boxed with ... morethick hard Styrofoam and fully insured against any damage that may occur in shipping. I will not accept returns on this but check my seller feedback and you will see an extensive history of service including multiple testers sold. This is the tester you want and ready to go so do not hesitate, I see these every so often and some have sold for way more just because the case is mint and shiny even though they have original meters that are prone to failure with age and have not been serviced. I was just informed that Kara no longer does service on Hickok testers so if you buy a 539C there is very few qualified reputable service places. The cost of the meter was $200, installation was $100, and service was about $125. Add to that you have to pay 2 way shipping and insurance on these for service(plus headphones and DC meter this is a total $600 value) That said this would be a great candidate for the major upgrades(digital meters, SS Rectifiers etc) offered by Mr Kennedy while he is still doing this work(another reason not to hesitate)

Hickok Military TV 3B/U Tube Tester- Powers Up- Needs Meter or ?
USN Military HICKOK TV-3B/U Tube Tester. In very good cosmetic condition. This acquired from the estate of a radio repairman. Conditions were not the best for some of these pieces. This one seemed to fare well as far as oxidation goes. though there was a bit of sandy dust I've cleaned from the interior. Changed the 100uf& 1 caps after noticing meter would not deflect under slow power up. Can not get meter to work even after changing rectifiers. Suspect meter is shot, but could be something else? NAVSHIPS manual is readily available online free to troubleshoot further. Included is what I believe to be all the extraneous odd tube socket and VOM connectors. These will be pulled from side of unit and shipped inside power cord storage compartment for safety. Roll chart works well with some nudging. HI All! I'm not sure what Hickok this is from. I know that it is NOT from a 533. 534 or later. I'm guessing that it is from a 510. I found a model number down inside the meter face that says AC-51X. The meter does work and it test 285 ohms as you can see in the pictures. I will ship this any way you want but I'm quoting USPS flat rate Priority. This is small and light. This is a nice. Clean meter. The movement operates smoothly w/o sticking. I do not know the original specifications, I can only report that it has been tested and the following was found. The resistance is 1,200 ohms. The sensitivity is 90 micro amperes for full scale deflection. So, if you need a replacement meter for your tester then consult the manual for the meter specifications. This Precision 10-15 was made in 1947 and sold for $119.60. It was the back then. It is 24” x 17.7” x 10” with a nice vertical sloping panel. Greeting Hickok test equipment Lovers and Collectors! Up for auction is a Hickok 510X vacuum tube tester/ vom meter. This is one of Hickok's earliest testers and was discontinued in 1935. The case is in rough condition and needs to be stripped of its covering and refurbished.The face plate on the tester is in good condition.A little cleaning will make it very presentable. The plug has been cut off of the cord and one of the knobs and three resistors were found under the electronics in the case. I know from experience that technicians often cut the plug and removed knobs to prevent anyone from trying to operate a piece of equipment they deemed to be non-functional. I believe that to be the case with this tester. TV-7A/U Military Tube Tester with Digital Meter Serviced & Calibrated Dan Nelson
Military TV-7A/U tube tester. The tester was fully serviced and calibrated by Dan Nelson in March 2014 and has been an excellent tester but I have 2 of them and only need 1 so I am selling this one. I had the didital meter installed for better accuracy and took photos of the invoice from Dan so you can zoom in and see for yourself what was done and the digital meter is by far the best way to go on these testers and I love it and as you can see it was not cheap but well worth the money. The switch& socket panel is in excellent shape with very minimal to no wear and the outer case is better than most. Also it has been upgraded to the 3 prong grounded power cord for safety. It is missing the tube test data book. The rings for the book and the adapters for the odd ball tubes that I have never needed anyway so I removed them so they were out ... moreof the way and now cant find where I put them and you are better of to get the latest updated copy of the test data from here on Ebay anyway as it is much easier to read and has more data and they are cheap.
