This is a working HP 8510C Network Analyzer Display Processor that was purchased as part of a recent acquisition from a local national laboratory. I cannot test all operating system functionality because I do not have the rest of the analyzer. I did run all the internal service tests that verified operation of the display all tests passed. I show the results of a few of the tests to verify this. Note that the single test failure shown(photo 2) happens because there is no HP 85102C connected to the HP 85101C[The test is confirming the bus interconnect to the 85102] The CRT is bright and sharp(pictures NEVER show how sharp a CRT is) All the buttons, controls, and switches work smoothly and show no evidence of mechanical damage. All connectors are clean and undamaged. Cosmetics of the unit are good/ excellent with minor sticker residue in the case(as shown) Note that thee is an error displayed because the display is not connected to the other analyzer components but the display passes all service tests that do not require being hooked up to other analyzer components. Note. This is all that is needed to convert an 8510B to an 8510C. This will also work with most 8510A analyzers but you need to check the serial number to confirm compatibility. This came in from a local test facility along with a lot of other test equipment. A lot of items from here are good, they have just been in storage for many years and are no longer needed. Has old calibration sticker on it that says calibration last done 11-15-94. I don't know how to test this piece of equipment, but powered it up and it seemed to power up okay. Had an OUT OF LOCK and RCV DATA INV light illuminate. Also illuminated the BIT ERROR, CARR LOSS and BLOCK ERROR lights. A LOSS OF DATA light lit up on the panel and the number 1 continuously lit up and extinguished repeatedly at the right hand end of the panel.
