I received the rod as a gift in the 70's but never used it and only showed it off a couple times. Otherwise it has lived its entire life its original tube. You'll receive the 2 piece rod in its original sock in its original tube. I believe this is the best rod i own(and i do own a few) i just have never seen the metal ferrals, putting the sections together. It looks to be in good as found condition except for a small piece of the iron underneath shows wear or a chip( which you cant see unless you turn it upside down.It is being sold as you see it.
