This is a good instrument to diagnose electrical circuit/ experiment problems or to locate a bad component in an amplifier. Stereo, radio, etc since you can actually"see" how a particular component is working, not working well, or simply not working at all. For example in an amplifier circuit you can look at the input and work backwards from the output to see where the fault lies. Also two signals are essential for comparing stereo signals or for comparing digital with the clock/ trigger signal. Up for auction is a Tektronix Tek 465 Oscilloscope complete with 4 Probes. Serial Number B021581. I turned it on and got several patterns on the screen(see pics) so it is believed to be working. It may need calibration as the last calibration sticker I see on it is 1976. It is in good cosmetic condition and all of the knobs and buttons operate fine. I notice the upper left"position knob" wobbles a bit but works fine. The handle is solid and stable. No case damage. Has a built in top pouch to hold the 4 probes and tips which are included. This is a Tektronic 5111A unit. These are my findings with this unit.1. The unit has 2 knobs that are broken(please see pictures 8& 9) Everything appears to work fine on it. But I could not fully test do to my lack of knowledge about it. I did play around with it for a bit and the beam finder( The little green dot. moves up& down as well as side to side. And also seen it pulse across the screen, all buttons push in and release as they should, and button lights work as well. Will come with a power cord. A little part of the SCALE ILLUM knob has been broken off. You never touch the knob once you figured out your preference. 2. There is a rare ghost wave on channel one not long after booting up. hatachi v-422 with new probe
This is a Hitachi V-422 with a brand new 1x-10x probe. I dont know about this unit besides it powers up great and appears to work great. The right bottom corner has a cracked corner and the second probe connector is a little crushed but nothing that cant be made right with some pliers. Good luck.
