The tektronix 2445B oscilloscope is a analog oscilloscope with a microprocessor control that reads the switches and adjusts the operations accordingly. $7 BIN gets you the Tek IC 165-2393-00 which is very similar to 155-0237-00 U600 vertical out IC used in 24_ scopes. These are used. But still good. Roughly speaking, 165-2393-00 will limit a 400MHz scope's bandwidth to about 360MHz, whereas a 155-0237-00 will let it work to around 450MHz. You will not notice any bandwidth difference between these 2 part#s on 150 or 200 Mhz 2400s. The typical symptom of a failed(or failing) U600 is inability to center anything on screen, even with beamfinder invoked. You are NOT buying a scope here(read carefully please) I am offering at $600(B-I-N) to repair and recalibrate your Tektronix 2400series scope regardless of what went wrong with it. The $600 flat fee covers any and all natural failures(not abuse. Fender benders, or missing parts) on a 2445A, 2445B, 2465A, 2465B, 2467, or 2467B. Tektronix used to charge a flat $600 or so until the mid 90s(when the the 2400 population was younger& healthier) but quit caring for them. I am not only a price bargain, but also in turnaround time, which here is only 1 day(Tek was/is much slower) At the $600 level, I also replace some parts that may not be dead yet, like the Li battery, but which are getting old, and should be replaced anyway. I try to tell you everything I know about a scope that I've worked on. Scope passes all self-tests and performs accurately. Notes: Serial Number: B060434 This is a later serial number for the 2445b. I don't know when it was made but I'd have to guess it was in the early 90s. Scope passes all self-tests. As you can see it captures waveforms with accuracy. The photos show all channels working and consistent. The A5 Controller board had significant damage from capacitor leakage. I washed it thoroughly with Simple Green and 99.9 Isopropyl. The damage around the triggering stage was a little tricky so I had to improvise a little bit to make a complete repair. Because so many pads were gone I couldn't use the originally specified SMT caps. So I had to use through-hole caps. This allowed me to use the leads as replacements fo

In keeping with the philosophy that you should get according to how much you pay, I shall pick one for you based on its ending price(or your final offer) This cathode ray tube fits all Tektronix 2400series analog scopes(except 2467& 2467B) It also fits 2440, 2432, 2432A, 2430A, and 2430 digitizing scopes, and if you need the 5 wire flatribbon for those, I will add it free if you ask me to. Count on about 30000 hours if you pay or offer $25, about 25000 hours if you pay or offer $50, about 15000 hours if you pay or offer $100, about 8000 hours if you pay or offer $200, about 4000 hours if you pay or offer $400, about 2000 hours if you pay or offer $650, or 100 hours(almost unused) at $1000. I ... morewould not recommend paying less than $100 and going over 15000 hours. While I have seen some of these CRTs working acceptably even at 90000 hours, on average, especially at faster sweep speeds and on low rep rate signals, going over 15000 hours, is a prescription for dim or fuzzy display. At slower sweep speeds(eg: 1mS/cm) and normal rep rate signals(eg: CW 1KHz sine wave) is the only regime where over 15000 hour CRTs can be counted on for acceptable brightness, so keep that in mind before being tempted to pay less than $100. While even the $25 CRT may be a useful diagnostic tool(if you don't have one or if yours is cracked open) if you really want to add youthful display, I recommend offering more to get one with fewer hours. If you need an analogy to better understand the scale of CRT hours think of every hour on a CRT as the equivalent of about 5 miles on a car: so a 20000 hour CRT is like a car with 100000 miles(not much can be expected from it) however a CRT with only 5000 hours is like car with 25000 miles from which continued reliable service can be expected. A horiz"variable" knob got broken off(common shipping accidents for those who don't pack scopes carefully) along with a piece of its stem(remaining stem is too short to just add knob) Should be fine if you don't ever use uncalibrated sweep speeds, or just want to buy it for parts, or if you have a magical way to stretch a stem.
