It is of the two-transformer design whereby one transformer supplies operating voltages for the tube tester. The second transformer supplies filament(heater) current for the tube being tested. Relieving the first transformer of heavy current drain, providing more stable and reliable operation. Capable of testing 4, 5, 6, 7(large) octal, loctal, acorn, seven and nine pin miniature tubes, also various sub-miniature types. Includes grid/plate clip lead and manual. You are bidding on a Dyna-Quik Model 700 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester with Manual. I have tested 4 tubes on this tester(6SN7.5V4, 12BY7, 6L6) Those are sockets 25,33,9, and 29. I have not tested the rest of this unit with the exception of number 8 which I found was not working when I tried to test a 12ax7. I replaced two tubes in this tester a#83 and a 6BN8. The tester works as seen in the pictures with a 6SN7 tube. The circuit transfer works on this unit as well. The gauge is faded on the replaced(not good tube side) but is still functional. Since I have not completely tested this unit I am selling this as is for parts or repair. It comes with a manual as seen in the pictures. The tester is in good working condition and I have tested tubes on socket 8. 9, 25, 23, and 39. All of the previously stated socks worked fine. I tested the#33 socket and found it was not working and labeled it with a red sticker as seen in the picture. Both of the testers test circuits work and there is some writing on the bottom part of the tester that states EGR 8/22/77. The outside of the tester has some rips in the fabric covering as seen in the picture. I'm unsure when this unit was last calibrated. I tested a 6SN7GT and you can see the indicator is working. The I-177 tube tester and later versions were designed by and licensed to Hickok using their technology and appears to be completely original. It was probably manufactured in late 1944 and"MFP'd" moisture and fungi proofed) in January 1945 judging by the date stamp. Hello. Up for sale is a Vintage Hickok Model 532 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. This unit does not come with a case. It has been panel mounted in my shop until I recently moved. This listing is For Parts not Working. However. The only flaw I am aware of is that it cannot power the heaters of any 12.6V tubes, like 12ax7's etc. This unit does test 6.3v tubes and I use it regularly to test 6l6's, el34's, and other common octal power pentode's. If you look at the last picture. You will see a switch that I think is the culprit of why the 12.6V heater circuit is not working. Maybe you have one: I think this price is fair. It tested alright/good but when I tried to calibrate this tester, I couldn't get the proper calibration reading. There were three calibration steps to perform but in the very first step, the meter didn't fluctuate as specified in the instructions. I don't know if I was performing the calibration properly as instructed or not. when I turned the pot that was specified in step one of the calibration instructions the needle didn't fluctuate as it was supposed to do. Hickok Model 600A Micromho Dynamic Mutual Conductance Vacuum Tube Tester
If you are looking for a tester with a nice case. This is not the one. The case is in terrible condition. It is intact enough to safely house the tester, it just doesn't look nice. I don't know if all functions are working. I am capable of; finding a tube number in the scroll. Plug the tube in, make the listed settings, push the listed button, and read the meter, good or replace. Other then setting the line adjust, this is all that I have the knowledge to do. I do not know how accurate it is, as I don't have a tube of a known condition or another tester to compare to. The face of the tester in in pretty good condition. It has definitely had some use. As you can see wear marks around the switches wear fingers have rubbed on it. There is a lens missing over the bias fuse, and the power cord is pretty cracked up and should be replaced ... moreas well as the short test lead. The metal name plate that is supposed to be glued under the lid has come off. The tube sockets seemed to work fine on the two I tried, but all look like they have light corrosion on the contacts. The scroll is complete and works well, it gets a little harder to roll as you approach the ends. There is some writing in pencil on the back of the face. I will wrap up the two tubes underneath to be sure they are not damaged during shipping. BE SURE TO OPEN AND REMOVE THE PACKAGING MATERIAL BEFORE USE! Vintage HICKOK Model 540 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Radio Amp Stereo
Here's an interesting early HICKOK tube tester model 540. It tests early 4 pin tubes through those of the octal era. I have not done exhaustive testing nor did I evaluate all test settings but the instrument did power on and I was able to test a few tubes. Pictured is a 6F6 under test. The resulting meter deflection appears reasonable but the tube tester has not been recently calibrated. The test meter is contained within a carrying case. The handle is tattered but functional and the tolex-like covering is worn in spots but overall not bad. It measures 14 1/2" x 15 3/4" x 7" not including the handle. This tester is being offered AS IS. FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION.

This one was well used and was probably the service call tube tester as the cabinet has quite a few scrapes and nicks that are now covered by Black Duct Tape. But the cabinet did a nice job of protecting the tube tester. This is a great Mercury 1000 dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. I have replaced the electrolytic caps. The diode rectifier, and the lamps. It used to work perfectly, but then suddenly the needle starting pulling backwards with octal tubes. I know this is an easy fix for the right person, but I don't have the desire to chase the problem down when I already have other working testers. Snag this one that has already been re-capped. Find the bad resistor(most likely) and you'll have a great tester for much less than a working one. Comes with the original tube chart and a photocopy of the manual. Complete with schematic.

Has a custom black hinged case with rear storage compartment. Front handle, and 2-latches on front; has metal protective pieces on all corners. Exterior measurement of the case is: 18.5" x 17" x 7.25" Weight of case& accessories = 21 lbs 14 oz. Designed only for 115-Volts AC at 50-60 Hz. Serial number under the handle reads: 397-00520. Includes tester unit plus CRT adapter and two small wires with clamps at their ends. See photos. The instruction manual is not included. Also includes. But NOT PICTURED. Is one Sylvania vacuum tube with"6CG8A USA- Sylvania if EZU" printed on it. I do not know what this tube is for other than it was ... moresitting inside the box's rear storage compartment along with the other described accessory wires when I opened it. CONDITION: I powered the unit on and it lights up and appears to function properly; however. Since I'm not an electronics technician, I'm unable to verify if it truly is fully functional. Thus, item is sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. Note that I did press the Line Adjust S10 button and when I varied the line adjust knob the meter registered accordingly.so that is a good sign. Also, neither of the two fuse lights were illuminated, thus another sign it is functional. There is a perfectly in-tact paper roll chart with various tube data on it(no tears/ no damage to paper roll) I tested it by using the scroll knob located to the right of it on the faceplate and successfully scrolled it up and down without issue. There is a nice white backlight that allows you to read the text very clearly. As noted in the photos. I unscrewed the front metal faceplate(note that 2 wood screws are missing but could easily be replaced) and took a variety of photographs of the electronics inside the unit. Up for sale is a B&K Model 700 Mutual Conductance tube tester. It is in great shape considering its age. I tested a tube that I had that was new in the box. It showed the tube as Good. See the pictures for more details. It lights up and tests the sample tube OK. I did not try each function so I am selling it as is. It has signs of its age but seems to work. There is a calibration sticker on it but I can not make out the date. See picture. Calibration date looks like 1087 or 1097 but I cannot be sure. A very interesting tube tester from Precise Development Co. The model 111 is a full function mutual conductance and emission tube tester that tests almost every type of tube a radio or audio collector is likely to need. What I found interesting was that many early tubes are listed on the roll chart. O1A. 99, 112 and many others not commonly found on most roll charts. The Precise 111 has ability to test tubes for both emission and mutual conductance. It can use 6 different plate voltages. 3 screen voltages and various signal voltage values, it also has very good gas check and ability to measure filament current. Measuring data is condensed in roll chart. Included is a copy of the manual with interesting sections on using the 111 with a scope to derive curves and testing new[not listed in the roll chart] tubes from data in tube manuals. The ... moretester is in very nice condition. working and very clean inside. roll chart moves freely. Elaborate setup procedure is more like a lab quality tester than a service level tester. Both the 5U4 and 6X4 tubes inside are good. I did note several original capacitors inside that should be replaced for continued reliability but as noted. The tester seems to be working fine. Other than a little light surface rust on some plated components. the tester and case are both in nice shape. even still has the original leather handle. Up for your consideration is this vintage 1950 United States military dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. Model I-177-B manufactured by Simpson. There are several versions of this tube tester that were contracted and manufactured by several different companies. Some of the more common were Daven and Triplett. Even though they were manufactured by different companies.They still had to adhere to the strict military specifications. The only thing that varied from one manufacturer to another was the components used in assembling them. What is nice about this set is it was manufactured by Simpson(somewhat rarer) It is the same company that built another fine tank, the beloved Simpson 260 multi-meter. I tested this tube tester under normal conditions and allowed it to warm up for 15 minutes. I tested it with known condition tubes and it worked ... moresatisfactory.The line cord is a little dried out and should be replaced. It cracks a little when straightening it out. It came from an elder's estate, that had many vintage radios and electronics, all was in pretty good condition, nothing molested. This is one of the best Tube Testers ever made. And the C being the last of the 539 series, it is the Best of the Best. Hickok officially sold the 539C from 1962 to 1968 for $545. This was one of the last Tube Testers Hickok sold, and unofficially it was sold into the 1970s. This one is in nice used condition with a few scrapes and nicks on the outside of the cabinet. ... moreYou can make it look new if you want to buff it up with black shoe polish, but I’ll leave that up to you. The interior panel is excellent, showing very little sign of use. This large 19” x 17” x 8” tester has 14 sockets and covers 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin, octal, loctal, 7 pin miniature, 9 pin miniature, 10 pin, 12 pin, and 4 smaller sockets for nuvistors and subminiature tubes. It has tube socket savers in the octal, and 7 pin miniature sockets. This is serial# 323 00355, and has a ITT Telecommunications tag with 73 17 01 stamped on it. I took this to my Tech friend Tom, and he replaced the 3 electrolytic capacitors, and tested it out. This should be ready for years of use. Here is a high quality Hickok model 530-B Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester from a ham radio estate. It appears to have been made for the US military as it has military looking stamps on its wooden case. This tube tester has been stored away unused for 30 years and appears to be in fairly good physical condition for its age. It shows some signs of use and age.
