Up for auction is a VINTAGE SUPERIOR INSTRUMENT CO. MODEL TV-II TUBE TESTER IN WOOD BOX. This tube tester is in very good condition. There are 2 leads included. I plugged it in and it did power up. My brother tested a new tube and it tested good. All of the dials/switches are present and working as they should. The wooden box is also in good shape other than a couple of small dings along bottom edge and 3 of the four rubber"feet" are missing. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

This tube tester has been mine for a while now and it has provided many hours of testing. It tests most all of the newer type tubes. Octal, Loctal, 9 pin, 7 pin peanuts, and others, but none from the pre-octal period. It also has a harness for testing TV picture tubes. It comes with 3 original manuals. The TC114 operating instructions(11 pgs. but with a rough front cover) a 4 by 5.5 inch 78 pg tube set-up book showing the tester tube switch settings; and a second compact 3 by 6 inch set-up book showing the tester tube switch settings. All in nice operating condition This tester is rather heavy for its size(since it has an all steel case) 10”W by 9.5” tall(standing) By 3.5 deep. It will weigh about 11-12 pounds. This little book is a Sencore Mighty Mite tube tester set up book and it was published in 1961. It belonged to my dad who was a Master Electrician and who also fixed vintage TVs and radios on the side. It measures 5.5" by 3" and has 95 pages. Mid 1960's business executive's briefcase, in both size and style. this decked out machine looks more at home in a mid-century office, than on at the electronics tech's bench. Very cool to use and look at, these are verifiably collectible. The appeal does not end there. it's the flagship Sencore tube tester- very expensive when new- not as popular as competitor's B&K models- and much more involved and capable. I tested it with several different types of tubes and it works flawlessly. Measures about 10 inches by 9 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches so it's a nice compact size that's easy to store and carry around. Only issue is a few scratches and some wear here and there. And some electrical tape on a small section of the power cord(see pics) but otherwise it's quite nice and functional. I do not have any tubes to test or if I did I would not know how to use this item. The person I got this from said he has not used it in 2 years but worked fine. Vintage Sencore MU150 Continental II vacuum tube tester. Unit is in good condition consider its age. We did use it to test a tube. You can see some of the readings in the pictures. The meter zero potentiometer seems to be a little dirty. It jumps around a little when you use it but you can zero out the meter with it. The feet that would set on the ground when the case are open are not in very good shape and or missing. See last picture. Over all unit is clean and would be a nice addition to your work shop. Vintage Sencore mu150 dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. Continental ll. We did test it with a tube 6hb5 and it showed that it was bad. It lit up some but showed about 20 on the bad gauge. As for anything else I am no expert on this item. The unit looks to be in nice shape with some scratches and wear. Comes with the Continental mutual tube analyzer book also.
