Vintage Precision Apparatus Model 700 Tube Battery Tester radio tv papers
This vintage tube tester is in great cond. It is a Model 700 made by Precision Apparatus Co. Brooklyn NY USA. All knobs and dials and roller work smoothly. I have powered this tester up and it does power up. The needle on the gauge moves. It is not broken or stuck. The wooden box has dovetail corners and is in great cond. Box has a Sylvania decal.Handle hinges and closures are all great. It has a leather handle. The power cord has hardened and the outer coating is cracking off however it does work.This is a really nice tube tester in a really nice box. As with all electrical items I sell I cannot guarantee it works only that it does power up. There is an instructional booklet and it says Operating Instructions for Series 700. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for vintage Supreme Instruments Corp tube and battery Tester Model number 589-A. I didn't plug this in because I really don't know what I am doing and will leave it to some one that is at least marginally qualified! Certainly not me. There are two little short black wires with bulb sockets on them and one will short out as the wiring is broken and ... moremay need to be fixed first. Other than this it a physical inspection looks okay to me. The outside fabric cover on the wood case is scuffed and worn. It belonged to a fellow that has passed that loved old radios and am listing this for his son to settle the estate. This measures 11" x 9" and is 6" deep. This is the actual item you will receive it has NO battery or bulb and I do not know if its working or not I have no way of testing this item. The back panel inside has summary of item some of it has; A No. 532 Burgess 4 1/2 volt battery or equivalent to operate. Use only a No. 48 bulb when replacement is needed. This pocket size instrument will only check heater continuity of those tubes commonly used in radio or TV receivers with series connected heaters. This item measures 2 5/8 x 3 3/4 inch in size. The one side of box has General Electric patent pending and on the other side it has 3 places to insert different tubes. On one edge it also has a place for a insert of some type of tube.

For sale is a vintage Precision model 10-12 Electronamic Tube Master Tube and Battery Performance Tester from the Precision Apparatus company. Comes with original operating instructions manual. Xtra roller chart and supplemental chart. This is in a wooden case and appears to be in good physical condition. The only testing I have done is to plug it in and watch the red light come on. The tester is from an estate and I have no idea if it works properly or not. The roller chart turns smoothly and is undamaged as far as I can tell. If you have any questions, email me please. Precision Apparatus PACO 612 Tube & Battery Tester, Calibrated Fixed Tested NICE
Here is a very nice PACO tube tester. It's the Model 612 tube and battery tester. I haven't done much with PACO gear(though I'm totally dependent on their C-20 capacitor tester) But based on the shiny chrome faceplate this looks to be a later production run of the venerable 612 emission tester. This is a nice tester. It beats my trusty old EICO 625, that's for sure. I toyed with the idea of swapping out the 625 for the 612 for my quick bench tester. still might happen. We'll see how the sale goes. This tester has the following sockets: Octal Loctal 7& 9 Pin Miniature 4. 5, 6& 7 Pin Large Base Acorn Subminiature(8-pin pencil tube) 7 pin in-line Subminiature It will test most. If not all, rock and roll tubes and antique radio tubes including 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 6BQ5(EL84) 6CA7(EL34) KT-66, KT-88, 6550, 5881, 6146, ... more7025 etc. I tested a tube in every socket. I have a standard weak 6CA7(EL34) that I use to judge testers. This tester got it right. Checked leaky and good capacitor. The 612 had no trouble identifying which one was which. The battery test also worked. I am confident this tube. Condenser and battery tester is fully functional. The meter is very nice. The movement is very smooth and repeatable. Overall. This unit very nice as you can see from the pictures. The case has some scrapes and marks but is very solid. All feet are there. They're not a exact match but close. Realistic Tube Battery Continuity Tester & Manual, TBC T-B-C 22-20-32 22-2032
This is a repaired and tested Realistic TBC tube. Battery and continuity tester. Radio Shack packed a lot of functionality into a compact box. The tube tester is a nice one and does a good job of identifying weak tubes. The emission tester part of the instrument was calibrated. I tested some known weak tubes that read GOOD on many emission testers. This T-B-C did not make that mistake and called the tubes weak. It also had no trouble identifying leaky and shorted tubes. This tester is good for testing"modern" vacuum tubes including the following bases: Loctal(8-pin) Octal(8-pin) Compactron(12-pin) Nuvistor(5-pin) Novar Noval(9-pin miniature) 9+1 pin miniature(like Noval with center pin) 7-pin miniature So it will handle most post-WW2 tubes including rock'n roll(6L6. EL34, 12AX7, EL84, 7025 etc. transmitter, sweep, radio& ... moreTV. All of the sockets are tight and in good shape. The switches, selectors and controls are all good. The case is in good shape, the meter has a crack but is easily readable. The meter pointer is a little bouncy, but I think that's how these things were made. The battery tester works but was not calibrated. I replaced one of the battery voltage divider resistors that was way out of tolerance, the rest are close enough, but not in perfect calibration. The continuity checker works like it should. Test leads are not included. The tester comes with a manual which is not original. It's one I put together from other manuals for identical tube testers. I wrote the battery and continuity test sections in the manual and edited the test charts as needed to work with the faceplate layout of the TBC. All in all. This tester is ready to go and will accurately test the emission of over 800 tubes. For a good description of the overall physical shape. Please see the pictures. US only. No international sales. Precision Tube& Battery Tester Series 612 This is the one with the gray all metal case. The ones with the wood case are nice but this one is much easier to work with and move around. It has feet to allow it to lay flat or stand upright and is much lighter than the wood model. It has been tested with a wide variety of tubes and it gives good results that are comparable with my other testers. Will test most tubes for Audio. Stereo, Hi-FI etc. Including: 1L6. 2A3, 5U4, 5AR4, 6BQ5, 6V6, 12AX7, 12AU7 5751. 6146, 6550, 7027,7189, 7199, 7591 ECC83. EL34, GZ34, KT66, KT88 and most other. Purchased at auction from a repairmans estate. This tester is in excellent physical condition. There are no cracks. Deep scratches, ect. No manual is included, what is in the pictures is what is included. This has not been tested and may or may not work, so I am selling for parts or repair.
