This is a Superior TV-11 vacuum tube emissions tester. I have been using this tester for several years now and it was freshly calibrated when I purchased it. The only reason I am selling it is because I recently upgraded to a Hickok tester. I have tested all functions of this unit and they all work properly. OLD VINTAGE TV7-D/U TV-7D/U MILITARY TUBE TESTER CHECKER This auction is for an old used vintage TV-7D/U US military tube tester checker.The serial is 2523.This tester came from the estate of a SK. I tested many different types of tubes on this checker& it worked fine.In one of the pictures. I show it testing one side of a 6SN7 tube. This tester will check 4.5,6,7, 8, 9 pin tubes.It will also check acorn type tubes.This unit will not test 10& 12 pin sweep tubes, way too old for those types. It comes with a paper book type tube chart& also plate cap lead for testing tubes with a top plate cap.There is also an 8 pin with guide pin to 8 pin with no guide pin adapter.Not sure what kind of tubes those are. But it comes with it anyway. The meter looks great with no cracks found.The power cord is in very good shape as well. The case ... moreis metal including the handle.There are paint scrapes& some minor scratches on the case. But overall for its age, it looks to be in really good shape. The tester measures 15 1/4" wide X 8 1/4" deep& 6 1/2" tall.The tester is clean.Depending on how sensitive your nose is. I noticed I can still smell a little bit of that old vintage military scent. I have done my best to describe this unit as accurately as I can.It has been a great tester for me& I really hate to give it up. This auction is for(1) one Superior TV-12 Trans-Conductance Tube Tester in G/VG overall condition. It was powered on and the meter doesn't center on LINE ADJ. That was all that was tested. The power cord and Top Cap lead is included. The power receptacle pins are somewhat loose through the Phenolic insulator. The TV-12 is an emissions tester and can test for mutual conductance using readings. Published tube data, and calculations outlined in the manual. This model can also test transistors. The early types are shown in the manual. All controls operate freely. Included are a reprinted operating instructions manual, working roll chart, and a 1962 list of new tubes. It is in really nice condition. With only minor surface wear to the case. It has been very well taken care of. The worst thing I see is that the back cover of the booklet got stuck to the inside of the case at some point so there is some paper stuck there from where it was pulled off. Book is still fully legible and can still clip into place. The unit itself looks great. This unit was tested and works as it should. It is actually pretty easy to use. HEATHKIT TC1 RADIO TV TUBE TESTER CHECKER
You are bidding on a Heathkit model TC1 tube tester. This has been in storage for many years and the insulation on the power cord dried out and cracked. Where the cord was laying on the front of the tester it left some marks but I think these will clean off. I cut the cord off because all of the insulation was coming off and I did not want someone to plug it in and either harm themselves or the tester. Before I cut the cord off I carefully plugged it in and it did power up and seemed to work fine. I tested a tube with it as you can see in the pics. None of the wires inside the tester are dried out. They are all still very pliable. I included a pic of the inside so you can see that it is very clean. All of the knobs are still on it as well. It does not look like it has been used much at all. This is an excellent tester for Drake. Hallicrafters and Collins tube radios. It works just fine and it is easy to use. Just follow the operating instructions in the case. Great for audiophiles and guitar amp servicing. It will test nearly all type of tubes from the late 30's- 1970's including compactrons etc. Has low voltage checks for Nuvistors and Frame Grid Tubes as recommended by all tube manufacturers.
