It weighs almost 15 lbs. unpacked. The ... morecase laying down is 12 3/4" wide x 13 3/4" deep x 6" tall. The wood case has scratches from use and one tiny chip. Shown in the pictures, but is intact. The AC cord is dried out and should be replaced. The"line adjust" control and knob are missing, the 2 wires that were attached to it inside are taped off. The cabinet had 2 sets of 4 rubber feet originally. The four when sitting horizontally are all removed. There is one of the four missing for vertical position. It looks like there was a metal label on the outside gone as well. I don't see why someone with a little electronics savvy wouldn't be able to fix this with little effort.

Vintage B&K Dyna Jet Model 606 Vacuum Tube Tester! Powers right up!
Outside is in pretty decent condition. With one small stain, a very small tear, and a little rust on the latch. Inside is beautiful and spotless. The screws have a little bit of rust. But are just normal screws you could replace, or leave as-is, because they wouldn't affect anything. Unit turns right on. But past that I have no way of testing it. Vintage Superior Model TV-11 Tube Tester. Tester powers up and meter moves to center of dial. I followed the instructions carefully to test for a short. But first tube glowed for a second and then went dark. 2nd attempt had the same results. I removed tester from it's case and found inside a part in terrible condition. see photo 7 with arrow) I am not into circuitry, but it could be a voltage regulator. I could not find any other visible defects or burn sites in the wiring, but again I have no knowledge in this area. I do know if tester cannot be repaired. it is full of useful parts, and the cabinet is very solid. Photo 5 shows one missing rubber foot. And photo 6 shows 2 missing rubber feet. Look carefully at photo 3 and you can see 2 tiny screws are missing from edge of top. Photo 8 is just some parts I found in cabinet.have no idea ... moreif they are good. VINTAGE HICKOK TUBE TESTER MODEL 600 - FIXER UPPER OR PARTS - POWERS UP, NO LID!
Up for auction is a vintage Hickok tube tester Model 600. This unit has a missing lid/cover. The 5Y3 and 83 tubes are in working order. But the 83 is probably on its last legs, just an FYI. The tubes are dated 0-43 and 0-50. The meter is in working order too. Some mounting screws are missing and the case has normal wear, scratches, and a few gouges. The scroll works and is dated 12-1-56. All knobs and switches are in tact and appear to be functional. I was able to power this unit up without any fuss as you can see in the pictures. I tested three different tubes.80. 6CG7, and 6F6G. After testing the three tubes, I found the readings a bit lower in comparison with my TV7 tester. The worst reading was the first side of the 6CG7 as this tube is in good condition(both sides) but came up with a false bad. I also had trouble with testing a 12AX7, ... morewhere neither side gave me a reading for whatever reason. I believe all this unit needs is a good cleaning and calibration and some TLC. Unfortunately. I have no know-how in performing these things. This would make for a good candidate as a fixer upper or you may be inclined to use it for parts. The choice is yours. USN Military HICKOK TV-3B/U Tube Tester. In very good cosmetic condition. This acquired from the estate of a radio repairman. Conditions were not the best for some of these pieces. This one seemed to fare well as far as oxidation goes. though there was a bit of sandy dust I've cleaned from the interior. Changed the 100uf& 1 caps after noticing meter would not deflect under slow power up. Can not get meter to work even after changing rectifiers. Suspect meter is shot, but could be something else? NAVSHIPS manual is readily available online free to troubleshoot further. Included is what I believe to be all the extraneous odd tube socket and VOM connectors. These will be pulled from side of unit and shipped inside power cord storage compartment for safety. Roll chart works well with some nudging. Up for sale here is a vintage Precision Model 612 tube and battery tester. The buy it now price on this is only $50. Look at what these sell for, this is a great bargain. This is in as found condition I have done no work on it and I am not really qualified to. My advice to any potential bidders on this item or ... moreany vintage electronic item like this is have a qualified professional replace out of spec caps and resistors before you put this into regular service. These are very simple devices that will last a long time if properly maintained. I did replace the faceplate screws because some of the originals were missing and others were chewed up so I replaced them and the replacements look great. I powered this up and tested a 12ax7. 5U4 and 6SN7 that had already been tested on my professionally calibrated tube testers and found this tester to generally be in agreement with my testers. In order for this tester to be put into regular service it needs the sockets cleaned as well as the contacts on the switches& the potentiometers could use some Deoxit. The roll chart works fine and doesn't slip or bind but the plastic cover is yellowed and it can be tough to see the setup info. There is no manual but there is a supplemental chart included. There is a split in one side of the wooden case but overall the case is solid. This is a nice little tester for either parts or restoration.
