Vintage test equipment in used condition. Has missing/wrong screws on face plate. There is some electrical tape around the power cord where it goes through the plaate. The carrying case shows signs of wear but overall very good condition. The paper reel is intact with no tears and the thumb dial works smoothly. Testing: Unit powers up. The line adjust works. Tested a few known good and bad tubes on the 9-pin socket only. It"passed" the good tubes and"failed" the bad ones so it appears to be somewhat functional. PLEASE NOTE. I DO NOT ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL BIDS OR SHIP OUTSIDE THE 48 CONTIGUOUS STATES. AND I ONLY SHIP VIA UPS. This is a vintage Hickok tube tester that powers up but does not work. All the mechanical pieces work on the unit(every knob turns and the switches switch) I do not know what is wrong with the unit. The condition is clearly used. And you can see the case has some nicks and dings. One of the pins is missing from one of the hinges as well but it opens and closes easily. The latches work well. Up for auction is a rare Heathkit TT-1 tube tester. The unit comes complete with the user manual. As well as the original construction manual. Overall, the unit is in great physical condition. The faceplate sparkles with hardly a scratch on it! The outer case is somewhat faded, but the cloth is intact with the exception of on tear(see photos below) Some of the metal hardware has a little rust, but nothing too serious. I actually owned a TT-1 a few years back. And loved it. It's a great tube tester for someone who tests common audio tubes(6L6, 6V6, EL34, EL84, 12AX7, 6SN7, etc) The unit powered right up as the previous owner said it would, however, some of the knobs were very stiff, and a few would not turn at all. They will need to be cleaned and lubricated before the tester can be used. Hickok 538 Tube Tester - parts or repair - NO RESERVE
Hickok 538 for Parts or Repair. NO RESERVE There are two transformers in this model and they are both working. That is about the only part you cant replace in these old testers so thats important. Heater voltage OK Plate Voltage OK( above 150 but I didn't use a shunt resistor when checking on a digital meter- so seems like would be about 150) Screen voltage OK Bias changes with bias control( about-40 at max) Meter appears functional and moves when switch is in the VOM function. Meter does not move when P4 is pressed in tube mode. You can hear the tranny hum change sound a little when P4 is pressed so I believe the tube is under test conditions just not getting to the meter. Likely location is the mode switch but its pretty buried under the VOM section and I didn't want to damage it as Im not familiar with that portion of this Hickok. ... moreso Im passing this along to someone who may be better equipped to fix. case is in fair condition. Wood is intact but no handle and the covering is peeling a bit in places. This unit has two transformers IT IS REALLY HEAVY! US sales only Lower 48 states pay flat $60 shipping. AK. This Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester- Checker is from an estate so we don't know about its history. But appears to be in pretty good condition. It really only needs to be cleaned up a bit, but we will leave that to the new owner. The knobs all turn freely and the levers all move securely into their three detent positions. Regardless of it they have a knob or not. The thumb-wheel on the right moves the tube selector drum. But we don't know what the thumb-wheel on the left is supposed to do. This is one of the best and most versatile tube testers ever made. For Auction: A STARK 9-66A tube tester in very nice condition. Stark was licensed to manufacture these testers by Hickok. This is a Hickok design. Manufactured in Canada, and is closest to the model 533A, however, this one has the sockets to test the newer dectal, and compactron tubes. A simple Google search will get you a lot of information about this tester. The scroll is dated February 1968. The scroll goes from end to end with very little binding, and has no rips or tears. I have tested a lot of tubes with this tester with no issues. It is very clean inside and out, and has NO signs of ever having been worked on, or modified. The meter is clean and the movement is flawless. The push buttons work precisely with no need to be cleaned. All switches are crisp and tight. Even the power cord is in great shape with no dryness or cracking. The ... morecase has a few scuffs, but is in very nice condition and is built to take punishment. One of the pictures shows the tester with a 6L6 metal in the test mode. It comes with an owner's manual, a tube supplement manual, and an adapter that fits in the octal socket. This is a nice vintage Eico model 667 Dynamic Conductance Tube& Transistor Tester. It is from an estate and is in very good clean condition with some normal light wear and scratches but overall clean and nice. The top of the plastic switch tip on the MERIT switch was evidently broken and it has had black tape wrapped around it(see photo) This is the black plastic switch tip only(not the actual metal switch) It is very minor and could be easily replaced but works fine just the way it is and will continue to do so(it's hardly noticeable) All other buttons and switch tips are intact and in good shape. Triplett 3423 Tube Tester - No Reserve
Nice Looking Triplett 3423 Tube Tester. I mainly work on Hickok 600. 800, 6000 series and bought this to basically learn how they work. The Triplett offers 250V plate voltage which is higher than the Hickok's at 150V. Tester tested within specs when I got it. But I haven't had time to really go over it, and I need the room in the shop, so Im passing it on. It now is registering tubes quite high, so Im selling as Parts, As Is, no Returns. I have a picture of a 12AX7 being tested. Adjusting the bias does move the reading, so its working just not reading correctly any more. Inside its generally all original including the calibration pots still have the original sealant paint on them to prevent movement. A recap might just do the trick but expect to at least calibrate. I bought this to remove the English control for another unit but it turns out the shaft on this model is slightly shorter and it wouldn't hold the English dial that has the curved sides. Unit powers up. And you can set line. I remember testing a 6L6 with it when I got it and it read low. Didn't register anything today, so listing as Parts Only As Is. No returns. It seems to be operating OK. Except the line adjust control only operates in certain positions. This will probably need to be replaced. I did test a 5U4 tube on it and it appeared to be testing OK. The roll chart rolls OK. The serial number is 78 16081. The case shows lots of wear. No manual. Sencore TC162 Mighty Mite VII Tube Tester W/Manuals Not Tested No Reserve
Sencore TC162 Tube Tester. I only plugged this in and turned it on to verify it powered on. I saw the needle move slightly and can hear it make a hum noise like a transformer would sound. Have not done any further testing. I do not know if this device is fully working. If you have any tests you can have me perform that does not require a tube I will be happy to assist. No returns for this item. It is sold as is.
