1930 HICKOK AC47 RADIO TUBE TESTER Antique MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE Vtg VERY EARLY Ham
Up for sale is a very early Hickok model AC 47 mutual conductance tube tester with Hickok Multiplex socket adapter. In green velvet padded carrying case with leather handle. This was Hickok's 5th model of tube tester introduced in 1930, and is in real nice cosmetic condition, though please note that due to the age of this Hickok tester I have not plugged it in, so working condition is unknown and am selling as-is and as-found, due to being 80+ years old I'm sure some component testing should be done before powering up. Please refer to photos, this AC 47 is in great shape with only very light wear, the Hickok name plate looks great, meter windows excellent, no cracks or chips to top panel or bakelite chassis enclosure(note that top panel is ingraved with'MSOE' the original cloth covered twisted-pair AC power cord is not frayed ... moreor broken, Insides are also very nice, no obviously burned or broken components, no loose wires or any other damage, the Multiplex socket adapter also very nice. Carrying case lining VG+, the outside of case has some wear to tolex but no major damage, and all hardware present and working fine. If you collect early tube testers, here is a great example of an early Hickok mutual conductance tester.

Test sockets for 4, 5, 6, 7 pin early type tubes, 8 pin octal and loctal tubes and 7, 9 pin miniature tubes. All switches, controls and sockets have been cleaned. Circuit capacitor was replaced. The tube setting list light up but the roller that turns list does not work properly and only turns list a little. The metal case and metal face has some wear. Scratches and stains. Vintage Hickok Model 600A Tube Tester w Instructions Manual w Roll Chart
This is a great estate find from upstate NY. It is a Hickok model 600A tube tester. It has the instruction manual and a roll chart. I don't have any tubes to test nor do I know anything about tube testers. I cannot verify the working condition of this tester because of my lack of knowledge. I do know that the light(as seen in the photo) does turn on although it does flicker very faintly. The chord is a little stiff and there are a couple rips in the rubber towards the plug. It measures 17" wide. 11" deep and 8" tall and is in a hard case that snaps closed. There is some wear to the red case, such as spots where the bare wood is showing through and one of the metal feet has pushed through the wood case. Precision Model 620 Dynamic Conductance Tube Tester
For your consideration is a Precision Model 620 Dynamic Conductance Tube Tester. The tester works great and seems to be accurate. But the meter is a little“sticky” The meter is fine as long as you tap it to make sure it settles down correctly(which you are supposed to do anyway) I suspect there is some dust in the meter vane but I am not a meter repair person and I’m not going to attempt to clean it and end up bending the needle, etc. My hands just aren’t steady enough. I’ve tested a lot of tubes with it and it works fine. The case could use a coat of clear varnish to perk it up after all these years. The handle and hinges are good but it could use new rubber feet. Vintage Quick Chek Drugstore Tube Tester From 1957 in Working Order.
Up for auction is a vintage Quick Chek tube tester by Reliable Electronics Corporation from approximately 1957. I rescued it from a garage in Lancaster. CA where it had been collecting desert dust for 20 years plus. The unit is in working condition. I am using a 12SK7 Tube for demonstration purposes. These type of testers were placed in drug stores and the like for consumers to test their tubes. It is not a professional tester like the Hickok 600A. Although it allows for testing of dual plate tubes like 12AX7's. It can't test each plate separately. I believe it tests both plates simultaneously and as a result a good one will exceed the meter limits and peg it all the way to the right. I would classify the cosmetic condition to be fair or less than fair. The tube charts are intact however on the bottom of the right chart the lamination ... morehas been separated taking some of the chart with it. When you push it down with your finger it is readable. Because of it's age I am selling it"AS IS" without a guarantee or warranty and therefore can't accept returns. Due to the size of the unit I cannot ship it so it is a LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. For auction is a nice WT-110A RCA Automatic Tube Tester with Tube testing cards. The case is in fair to good condition as seen by the pictures. The tube tester cards go from 1 volt tubes to 35 volt tubes and has the common types for amplifiers and tv sets such as 35W4. 12AX7, 6L6, 6K6 etc. I put a 12AU7 in the nine pin socket with the card in the slot and it tested fine(see picture) I put a 6L6 in the octal socket with the card and it gave output but when i wiggled the tube the output was"twitchy" This tester needs some tlc and for someone to go through it and check capacitors etc. The transformer checks fine. Vintage Hickok Model 600A Micromho Tube Tester with Roll Chart
Up for sale here is this vintage Hickok 600A tube tester. I picked up this tester from an estate many years ago. And it has been sitting on a box in my basement since then. I plugged it in and two light bulbs on the front lit up very faintly, but I tried to test a tube and got nothing. The bulbs stopped lighting up after that. I would assume that this needs recalibration at minimum, and possibly more than that. The big sprague grey thing on the back(resistor? appears to be cracked. The paper roll scrolls smoothly and reads great. Cord is fine. I have not cleaned, repaired, tested, or worked on this in any way. This tester has no case unfortunately. Hickok 533A Tube Tester. This is an exceptionally clean tester that shows only minimal signs of use. There are a few scuffs on the case. But it otherwise looks and functions fine. The face is nice and bright and also looks very good. I see a few splotches of discoloration but nothing that stands out. The tester works great. As you can see from the images it calibrates to line voltage. It addition, I am showing it testing a 12AX7. the test results are commensurate with my calibrated Hickok 539C tester. Included are grid and plate cap jumpers and a copy of the Instruction Manual. This will make someone a very nice tester to use daily. Buyer pays $25 shipping in CONUS.

Hickok Cardmatic 123/123A test card set. Most cards are marked 123- some are marked 123A. There are an estimated 1400+ cards in this set, an estimated 400 of these are of the 2, 3& 4 digit type like 80, 801 and 6025- most all of these 400 are of the 4 digit type, there are an estimated 600+ cards from 0A3 through the 6 volt tube types, the set appears to be light on 12 volt type cards but I did notice cards for popular tubes like 12AU7& 12AX7. I did not notice many doubles thumbing through the set and for the most part the cards are in order, if there are any doubles they would be of the 4 digit type, there is a stack of these(75-100 or so) out of order that makes it difficult to say one way or the other if there are many doubles of these. The down side to this set is that many cards are warped but many more than that are good or ... morejust slightly warped. Some of the warped cards may be unusable but I think most will be usable, the upside is that you will have the pattern for the tube type to punch your own cards if one of the warped cards is what you need, see sample pictures above. The cards were not properly stored and they are on the dusty/dirty side and will need cleaned before use. The pictured storage box is NOT included in this sale, the cards have been packaged for shipment so I will not be able to answer specific questions about any one card in the set, this was done to get an accurate weight for shipment, shipping weight on this set is 21 pounds for double boxed shipping. TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. Calibrated. Nice shape
Offered is a TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. It's in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with all of its original attachments and original flip chart. I have owned this tester for at least 5-6 years and have had it calibrated by TV-7 specialist Dan Nelson. He has calibrated 5 or 6 TV-7's for me and always does an excellent job. The calibration document is included with the set. I have owned many TV-7's over the years. These were work horse units for the military and most received very heavy use. When you buy an original un-touched unit you can expect that it will need extensive repair to bring it back to life. The most common problem is that the 7& 9 pin Miniature sockets and the 8-pin Octal socket are going to be worn. The pins will be so loose that any tube that you test will wallow around in the socket making poor contact. ... moreLeaving you with an incorrect test reading or intermittent reading. These need to be changed. In addition both the 83 and 5Y3 rectifiers are usually well used and need to be replaced. Calibration will most certainly be"off" This set has had the 7&9 pin sockets replaced as well as the Octal socket. Anti-Ferrite beads have been added to all three. This is a feature of the TV7-D and is useful in preventing oscillation of high gain tubes such as WE417A and 6DJ8's. The set was also calibrated to spec's. A detailed calibration report is provided. It looks like the calibration service was@$200. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean calibrated TV-7 which will last you another decade or more, then this is probably the one for you. TV-10 D/U vacuum tube tester. Nice shape
Offered is a TV-10 D/U vacuum tube tester. Its in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with a copy of the original manual/data sheet. The TV-10 is a mutual conductance type tester with circuitry similar to the TV-7. The notable difference between the two are additional sockets for the 829/832(the large white ceramic socket you see on the left hand side of the tester) and 2C39(on the right hand side next to the meter) In addition. The meter scale is set to read directly in micro-ohms rather than as a percentage. This is a benefit if you prefer not having to translate the percentage scale from a TV-7 into micro-ohms. I also note that the roll chart has settings for both the KT-88 and KT-66, which sometimes is missing from TV-7 data. The roll chart also shows a good list of Western Electric types including: 101,102, 262,300, 310, 311, 421 ... moreetc. The user manual has additional settings for 274 and the 205D. The T-10 is not a common tester. There far fewer of these around than the TV-2/3/or 7. I think it is probably superior to the 7. Several individuals I know think that they can be more accurately calibrated than the 7 and that is probably true. This set is all original as best I can tell. It does not appear to have had much use. The 7 and 9 pin mini sockets are tight and make good contact. Same too with the octal socket. The roll chart turns freely and all other functions appear to be in good operating shape. The only cosmetic flaw to note, besides the usual dents and dings, is that one of the hinges on the back side of the set has been replaced with something that looks modern. You can probably see this in one of the photos. I have owned this tester for 3-4 years and have only used it occasionally. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean TV-10, then this is probably the one for you. This unit is designed for 110-115VAC only. Hello and thank you for looking at this very nice B&K Tube Tester. Dynamic Mutual Conductance Model 707. I like this tube tester very much as it is easier to use than one of my Hickok testers! This tester came from one of my Ham friends who passed away several years ago. It is TESTED WORKING complete with a copy of the original instruction book which tells all about this unit and also how to calibrate it beside how to use it properly. It comes with more books, 2-tube sub books, tube schematic book and an old tube price list! This unit is in EXCELLENT CONDITION(Inside face, sockets and knobs are in like new condition) and appears to have been seldom used and shows NO signs of shop wear, extra clean and, with all of the tube sockets-each socket has common tubes listed beside each one and the values to set making this a very easy& fast ... moretester to use! Tubes such as a 12AX7 are listed and instead of doing two separate settings for the dual triode, you have two push buttons as"TEST-1 and TEST-2" that you can test both sides without making any other adjustments! This is a MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE tester that will tell you what you need to know about every tube you test and IS NOT a cheap diode tester. The B&K factory did a very nice job with this piece of equipment! The only downside of this tester is that it does not have sockets for early 4 or 5 pin tubes.
