Here is an unusual old tube tester in it's original box. It tests for open and burned out filaments. It has a pair of test leads. Instruction manual, and a short pamphlet on finding faulty tubes in your TV along with the main unit. The tester housing is plastic. I'm not sure if it works, but I don't think there's to much that could go wrong with it. The red housing measures approximately; 3 1/2" by 2 3/4" by 1 5/16" thick. The box is in fair condition. Look for some REALLY interesting items in the coming months! Filament voltage is selectable from 0.6 volts to 117 volts. This tester includes a VOM for measuring voltage. Current, resistance and current plus it has a capacitance measurement circuit. This is in very good condition with only a few nicks to the case. All switches and pots are crisp in operation and not erratic. I cleaned all switches and pots plus the sockets. Tube sockets are as tight as they should be. The roll chart is smooth with very little looseness or binding. Occasionally you do need to press a little bit on the wheel to get the chart moving. It is sold as guaranteed good. Comes with the catalog of numbers for testing various tubes. Y ou may be able to spot the control labeled'Grid' in the lower left corner on the picture shown above. This sets the grid bias on the tube. And ranges from-5VDC all the way up to-45VDC. Under the hood, there are no tubes to worry about in these testers. The'solid state' bias supply is furnished via the single diode. See the picture of the'guts' of the Model 666. Highlighted in yellow is the filtered DC supply(for the transistor test) on the right and the adjustment for leakage indication on the left. You can set how'high' a leakage exists between elements of the tubes that would be'failed' on the leakage test. Looking at the'guts' of any tube tester is the best indicator of whether or not you have a simple emission tester. This is a nice working BK 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Solid State Tube Tester. All Switches. Pots, and tube sockets were cleaned and/or tightened. Caig Deoxit was used to clean the contacts. Bulbs for the heater and overload are good. The plastic over the meter is clean and free of scratches! Meter movement is nice and smooth Several known tubes were tested to ensure proper operation of this tube tester. The hinge is tight to open and pops when you do open it. External metal hardware shows some surface corrosion that can be easily cleaned. We have sold and shipped over 50 tube testers over the last 15 years. Not one has ever come back and every customer has been delighted with their testers! This tester will be shrink-wrapped in white foam. Hickok Model 600A Micromho Dynamic Mutual Conductance Vacuum Tube Tester
If you are looking for a tester with a nice case. This is not the one. The case is in terrible condition. It is intact enough to safely house the tester, it just doesn't look nice. I don't know if all functions are working. I am capable of; finding a tube number in the scroll. Plug the tube in, make the listed settings, push the listed button, and read the meter, good or replace. Other then setting the line adjust, this is all that I have the knowledge to do. I do not know how accurate it is, as I don't have a tube of a known condition or another tester to compare to. The face of the tester in in pretty good condition. It has definitely had some use. As you can see wear marks around the switches wear fingers have rubbed on it. There is a lens missing over the bias fuse, and the power cord is pretty cracked up and should be replaced ... moreas well as the short test lead. The metal name plate that is supposed to be glued under the lid has come off. The tube sockets seemed to work fine on the two I tried, but all look like they have light corrosion on the contacts. The scroll is complete and works well, it gets a little harder to roll as you approach the ends. There is some writing in pencil on the back of the face. I will wrap up the two tubes underneath to be sure they are not damaged during shipping. BE SURE TO OPEN AND REMOVE THE PACKAGING MATERIAL BEFORE USE! I will include a note making mention of this to be sure it is not forgotten. Precision Apparatus 10-60 Tube and transistor Tester
This is a Precision Apparatus 10-60 tube and transistor tester. I tried it on 3 tubes. A 6L6, a 5Y3 and a 12AX7. It worked and gave reasonable results, but calibration is not guaranteed. I did not try testing any transistors. It is one of the last, and most complete testers that Precision made and covers many tube types. This is the one to have if you're looking for a high end emmisions tester. The case is a little beat up( see pictures) but solid and there are some wear marks and scratches on the face of the tester. Hickok 800 Tube Tester - Plate Current Mod
Hickok 800 Tube Tester. The diode test ports have been modified to test power tube current using a standard DMM for power tube matching. I will send instructions on how to use to the winning bidder if you are not familiar with this function which is commonly used on the 539 series. Also included are manuals and test data on CD. The 83 tube has been replaced with a voltage regulated SS device providing proper voltage drop. This unit had a rough shipping time getting to me and the wooden bracket on the left side came loose. And the top deck is slightly bowed. I have repaired the bracket, and everything fits pretty well but its not perfect, please see pictures. Electronics repaired and calibrated. My calibration voltages read- Plate Voltage = 151.9(150 +/ 5v) Screen Voltage = 133.3(135/5v) Reduced Screen Voltage = 55.7(56 +/3V) Max Bias =-38.9(39 ... more+/1V) This tester reads small signal tubes fine. 12AX7, 12AU7, 6CF8, etc but larger power tubes appear to sag the power supply a bit, and so read a little on the low side. This does not affect the current reading if matching power tubes using current readings. However I'm starting the bidding low. I just picked up this Supreme model 85 at a public sale. It is missing lid, instructions and tube data. I got what I needed on internet to check it out. Testers meter adjusted to center as it should so I tried testing good 6A3 tube, I could not get a reading but bulb lit so its not burnt out. I tried a type 80 rectifier tube it seemed to test ok. Cosmetically its not bad, the top left and right corners are broke at screw holes, and a screw is missing to the right of leakage test bulb. This offering is for a vintage Superior Instruments Model 83 C.R.T. Tube Tester for Color and Black and White Tubes. It seems to be in good vintage condition. It powers up, but I have no way of testing it. The previous owner said it worked fine. It still has the original operating manual which is in very good, untorn condition. Cords are in very good condition and the case is in good condition(see pictures) The case is clean and sound, but does have some rust that will need to be cleaned off the exterior metal. The handle is strong and the closing snaps work well, a separation is beginning to form at the back of the top's edge. Included are three very hard to find adapters for this unit. Try as you like. I doubt you'll find them. Also, a calibration manual is included. The power cord needs replacing as shown in pics. Vintage - Weston Model 777-Tube Tester with Weston Model 772-Analyzer / with cha
This Tester belonged to my father who at one time worked for Radio Marine after WWII and Loral Electronics during the late 50's& 60's. Unknown if it is operational. It appears to be in good condition. But I do not know how to work it so I could not test it. The solid wood case is weathered on the exterior, and handle also very weathered. In the case are Tube Test Data charts and test leads.

You are bidding on a Vacuum tube checker. Supreme instruments model 85. This is not fully working or I don't know how to use it. The tube underneath lights up and when you move some switches the needle moves but I put a tube in and tried to test it but it did not light, even though the tube underneath is lit. So selling it as is for that reason. Looks very cool and is in great physical condition for its age. We installed a new cord and plug as the old one was in very bad shape. Can be seen.
