Switches cleaned, etc. I spot checked several tubes on this tester and compared them to the results on our calibrated Eico 667 tester. I found the results to be nearly identical. Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester Must See 7868 6550 EL34 6SN7
This is a model IT-21 tube tester made by Heathkit. It is in excellent condition and is working very well. This will test 4. 5, 6, 7 prong older tubes, 7, 9, 10 pin miniature, octal, loctal, nuvistor, 9, 12 pin compactron, and pilot lights. Some of the tubes this will test are O1A, 6l6, 6550, 12AX7, 7591, 45, 50, 71A, 6SN7, and hundreds more. Notice the 3 tubes I tested with this tester. I even tested a known weak EL34 and it tested bad. All filament voltage selections on the switch were tested. The plastic window has come un-glued over the tube chart roll. I will include this if you decide to put it back on. Tester front panel shows a little normal wear. Case looks great. Unit is un-restored, and un-modified. Here is a vintage Precision Tube Master Series 10-12 Tube and Battery Tester that's in very nice and also in as very clean condition. Its marked and was made by Precision Apparatus Company in Elmhurst New York and research told me the Series 10-12 was introduced in 1947 and that it was the foundation model for the Precision Series 10-15, 10-20, 10-22 and 10-54 models, research also told me that when these are found there wood cases are usually heavily damaged with scratches, stains and chipped from field use but notice in the photos this wood case didn't even know what field use was looking like new. I think the reason this is in such nice condition is that it was not used much at all, it came out of a very clean and well to do home and it was found neatly wrapped in a blanket inside a trunk. This has been plugged in with lights working ... moreas well as its meter working plus notice its also with many booklets. This is heavy and a large unit measuring with lid closed 17 1/4 inches long by 14 inches wide by 7 inches deep and it doesn't show in the photos but it also has four feet on its back side like showing on its bottom in the photos. Hickok 533 Vacuum Tube Tester W/ Crt Adapter
I do not know how well this tester is calibrated etc. However. It turns on, and the one 12ay7 tube I had to test it with that i knew was good showed as such.Needle moves when button is pushed. The reel with all the tube names and properties Is completely legible and rolls properly. Main and"Short" Fuses appear to work, was unable to figure out how to test the bias fuse, but it isnt obviously blown. The 9 pin socket I tested the 12ay7 appears to be worn, as the tube only lights up when not entirely seated on the socket and feels loose when put in. I am unable to test the other sockets. Cosmetically, In my opinion it appears to be in pretty great shape, but my vintage electronics knowledge base is layman at best. Very Early Western Electric Tube Tester KS-13588-L1 Hickok Working
Whether you collect vintage Western Electric Tube Audio Amplifiers or if you collect vintage tube testers. This is one that you don't see every day. This is likely the earliest Western Electric tube tester you will find. It isn't even branded with the Western Electric name, yet, but is has the KS(Kearney Specification) number on it that Western Electric assigned to all of its gear. It also includes a blueprint for the octal to 9 pin miniature adapter that is included and the blueprint is from the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania(Western Electric was the purchasing agent for all Bell Telephone companies) This is made by Hickok as their model 531 tester and includes the Hickok setup book and a roll chart installed in the tester. The tester is in good to very good cosmetic condition. I have checked the two tubes, installed a new ... morefuse lamp, and tested the tester and it seems to be in great operating condition. Has a meter for micromhos as well as an AC line voltage meter. This was my Uncles.A USN radioman during WW II and I believe he kept it as a souvenir but I'm not sure; I do know it has sat in a closet for 45 years at least and it is time for it to go. I'm old enough to remember tubes but have no clue whether or not this still works, but plugged in it seems to power up. Inside the case is okay, the exterior of the case is rough but structurally sound. There is some paperwork that appears to be a partial manual that goes with the unit. This unit is as-is with no warranty, so check the photos, bid accordingly there are no refunds; I want it gone, hopefully someone knows more about this than I do and could use it.

This auction includes a Jackson model 658-1 vacuum tube tester in good working condition and with it's original owner's manual and supplemental tube data booklet. As the photos show. This unit is quite clean for it's age and all of the controls and push-buttons operate smoothly. All of the sockets are clean and are not cracked anywhere. The power cord is still in great shape without being brittle and the scroll tube data chart is still easy to read. The photos show this tester testing a 6L6 output tube(tube not included in auction) and, in addition, I took another photo showing that the AC line level is able to be set properly. There is a small crack in the meter cover however, it does not affect the functionality or readability of the meter. I was not able to get the small crack to show up in my photos. Weston 774 - 4 Tube Tester and Set Analyzer with Original Bill of Sale MORE
This item is a Weston 774-4 Tube Tester and Set Analyzer. The panel is in very good condition. It can be used as a stand alone tube tester or a radio/audio set analyzer. It uses a type 71A tube inside. When used as a set analyzer. The adapter socket for a particular tube(say a 24A would use the 5 pin adapter) is plugged into the socket in the upper right, the tube plugged into that adapter, and a cable coming from the tube tester is plugged into a socket adapter to plug into the radio chassis. Then, voltage and current measurements may be made under operation. Here is some more information about what was tested and included in the sale. TESTING: The line adjust works. The meter works, and tested a 24A and a 12A6 tubes. They tested good, and no shorts were noted. I don't know if the calibration is good or if any components drifted, so ... morethis sale is listed as for parts. But the tester seems to work and may need a bit of refurbishing. The operation is not obvious. And I strongly recommend reading the included Instruction Manual. It will need batteries inside to use the voltmeter function. Up for sale is my Hickok Cardmatic AN/USN 118B tube tester. In working condition. It is all original except for the 120 volt cord and cap. They were replaced. Included with the tester is: Tester Case. Manual, Calibration cards and Calibrator cell Shipping weight 50# Full deck of cards. Approximately 2484 cards covering 1556 tubes. Since I have never actually counted all 2484 cards.And there may be a couple missing, I am including 40 card blanks and the punch. Card holder case. The same dimensions as the tester case. I have the manual and punch in the case. Shipping weight 35# One non test card installed for shipping and one"tuck me in card" Rather worn, but original. This tester is shown in the pictures testing a 6146 and showing good quality in the meter. It is a functional tester and I have been using it regularly. Vintage Test-O-Matic Tube Tester Model P-18 Circa 1959! Works great/tubes free!
The"TEST-O-MATIC" tube tester was sold by Shell Electronic MFG. Corp in 1959. It works great and includes several tubes(tested and untested) a tube test chart. On the underside of the lid and a GE tube manual for refference purposes. It appears that the model number is either a L-18 or P-18. Looks like the number was modified to a later version.see pics) This tube tester is a suit case style and is self contained. The case shows lots of wear but is intact. This tester has the 2.5V calibration control as well as a meter bridge calibration(set to 58.25mv) control moved to the front making quick calibrations or checks easy without opening the unit up.
