This has been tested and works fine as a few of the pictures show. This unit was purchased on January 12-1967 according to the guarantee. The unit is in incredibly good shape and clean. It appears as if it's hardly ever been used. I purchased the unit pictured and some vintage stereo equipment from an older gentleman who was moving and downsizing his collection. He was kind enough to take the time and demonstrate with a few different tubes that the unit was in prime working condition. I was planning to start tinkering around with tube amp repair. But I just haven't had time so this beauty must go. I'd rather someone get some use out of it than have it set in my closet. It comes with the original tube chart and a photocopy of the operating instructions. Since this is an older electronics item it is being sold as-is. No refunds. Came out of the estate of an old electrician who also moonlighted as a TV repair guy. First and foremeost, I know virtually nothing about vacuum tubes from vintage devices, let alone testing them. There is no manual included with tester. I only had one old radio in the house. So I removed the tube, plugged it into a tube port that fit the pin profile. turned the unit on, and flipped a couple dials til I got it to light. nice. Restored Hickok 539A the Caddilac of mutual conductance lab-grade tube testers. If you are looking at this, you know what it is and how nice it is! This one has been nicely cleaned up with most of the tube sockets replaced with brand new sockets(4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 7, 8, octal) and the others replaced with very good but used sockets. All resistors checked and replaced were needed, and caps replaced as well. Here for your consideration is a Hickok Model 539A True Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. This is one of the best Tube Testers ever made. This one was well used and was probably the service call tube tester as the cabinet has quite a few scrapes and nicks that are now covered by Black Duct Tape. But the cabinet did a nice job of protecting the tube tester. This large 19” x 17” x 8” tester has 9 sockets and covers 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin, acorn, octal, loctal, 7 pin miniature, and 9 pin miniature. This is for a Hickok model 6000A micromha tube tester. This tester looks to be in very good condition. I know nothing about these so ill describe the best I can. The only fault I see is a little wear on the red outside of the case. I did not plug the tester in because I would not know what happens anyway. I can not imagine it not working as clean as it is. Up for bid is an antique Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. tube tester/analyzer. Model 547 No. 24949. I found this tester at an estate sale and it had previously been owned by a collector. I believe the tester is from the late 1920's. I cannot check exactly how the tester is supposed to work. Because it did not come with any sort of manual. However, I have checked each of the gauges individually, and each of them works properly. All of the internal electrical parts look to be original to me. Though one of the push buttons seems to have been replaced at some point. The tube tester requires a 3 volt battery, and I don't know if the battery holder is original, but it looks to be. The switches and knobs all move freely and the cord looks to be in good shape considering how old it is. Overall. It is in great condition for it's age. ... moreThe tester comes in a black bakelite case. The case is slightly chipped and scratched(see the pictures) The case has a leather handle. Which is very sturdy, though it seems to have been repaired at some point. The clasps on the case are all solid and close tightly. The case is missing one of it's legs though. The tester is 12.5" by 9.25" by 4" I've described the item to the best of my ability and have taken a lot of pictures of it. The pictures are an important part of the description. And everything is as it appears in the pictures. The item is being sold as is( for parts or repair) because of it's age and no returns will be accepted.

I did not plug it in as I didn't want to have any issues with the machine. I will leave the winning bidder to determine its working status. I was told it was in working order when I bought it. Tester appears to be complete, no missing knobs, no breaks in components. The case seems to be made out of solid oak wood. The case has normal wear, scuffs, scratches no breaks in the wood. The carrying handle seems to be made out of bake lite and is in very nice unbroken condition. There is a copy of operating instructions for this tester. It had an AC non-polarized cheater cord socket which I replaced with a grounding three wire standard AC cord. I removed the cheater socket and put the new cord with a HEYCO grip in the hole that was left. I took the pictures before putting a small metal cover over the part of the hole that was left. I tested some tubes that I had tested on my Western Electric and use those as a standard to see if the tester I'm trying out is accurate. The tester showed that it works fine. I also tried some tubes that I know are bad and they showed bad as expected. It comes with the original operating manual/tube chart and also an updated manual/tube chart. The light in the meter lights up when plugged in and turned on, and I am able to center the needle in the meter with the centering dial. The cord is brittle, and while we powered up the tester, the cord needs to be replaced. We tested several tubes, and the tester works, but requires calibration, as tubes seemed to read high. This tester has a premium design feature in that the line voltage adjustment selects different incoming taps on the power transformer instead of using a power-wasting potentiometer. Nice eBay find for the collector or avid restoration enthusiast. An EICO model 625 vintage tube tester complete with schematic. Parts list, tube data including the May 1956"NEW TUBE TESTER DATA" Roll chart is inside- well lit. Hesitates occasionally when scrolled up/down but I was able to go from"STOP" up to"STOP" down. Included also are 11" x 17" prints of tube data. I tested a 45 tube. As shown in the pictures. Simple settings on the meter, just follow the lever number"UP" or"DOWN" One cap/cover missing on the last lever. See photos. No other problems noticed. Precision Model 954G Tube Tester. This is a versatile tester as it tests. Among others, 4,5,6 and 9 pin tubes. I got it from the estate of a long time owner. I have tested a couple of tubes with it and it seemed to work fine. I have shown it calibrated to the line voltage and with a 12AX7 tube under test. Acurate Instrument Co. Inc. Model 257 tube tester
This tube tester is in rough condition. But appears to work. I tried a 7 pin and a couple of 9 pin tubes(not included) on it, and got good indications for a couple of them, and a"shorts" indication on the other. There are some handy pin straighteners in the top row, and one of the sockets is for Nuvistor tubes, which are kind of rare. I have listed it in the"for parts or not working" category. Mostly over concerns that some of the switches and sockets might need cleaning. All of the metal is rusty, and the material covering the wood enclosure is coming off. You can see this in the pictures. The manual is coming apart, but looks like it has all of the pages except for the front and back cover. It has a date of 1/68 on the first page. Please look at all of the pictures carefully for the condition. There is nothing included ... morebeyond what you see here. This is from the estate of a local ham radio operator.
