I believe that its retail price then was somewhere around $1500, which was about the price of a new car, so not many were made and few would have ended up anywhere other than a lab. Vintage Heathkit Tube Tester Model IT-21, very good condition, fully functional
Up for auction is a Heathkit Tube Tester Model IT-21. This tube tester is in excellent cosmetic condition. There are minor scuff and scrapes on it. But nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage piece such as this. There is a knob missing on the lower right side and on the bottom of the unit the caps on the A& L levers are also missing. It is missing two foot pads on the left side and also on the back side it is missing one foot pad on the top left side on the back of the tester. Other than those few flaws, this is a very clean unit that has been tested and all knobs and switches and plugs& plug-ins appear to function properly. I was not able to test every bulb socket because I did not have all the sizes, I did have 7 different bulbs a few different sizes and each worked so I assume all the other sockets do too. Up for auction is a vintage Eico Model 625 tube tester. The serial number is 68782W. I recently purchased a number of vintage tube related items from an estate and this tester came from that group. The tester was plugged in and it lights up. But I don't know how to test it properly. The roll chart scrolls smoothly and the cabinet is in good shape, but needs a cleaning. Hickok 6000a MicromhosTube Tester - Very nice - tests VG
Auction is for a used Hickok 6000a tube tester as shown in pictures. This tester is in very nice condition as seen in pics both inside and out. Case shows some normal wear and tear but overall pretty nice for a Hickok. Pics show voltage tests for the transformer using my Fluke. with a 250K shunt resistor. Plate voltage measures 155.5 and within 3% of spec of 150 Signal voltage test at 2.485v and within less than 1% of spec of 2.50 Very good! I also showed a pic of a 12AU7 tube being tested at 2150 mhos which was also tested on an Amplitrex at 2100 mhos so very close This tester has always given test results right in line with my main tester. A Hickok 533a which I have used for years. Overall a very nice tester. It hasn't been actually calibrated as the main voltages and test results were so good I saw no need for it. ITEM DESCRIPTION A vintage 600A tube tester by Hickok. It works well. May need calibration though. I tested the function with a couple different tubes such as 27, 80, 6V6, 6SN7 and all performed as expected. The power cord is flexible and has no cracks. The small grid cap adapter aged and a bit cracked at the base of it. There is an nice built-in scroll for tube settings included and it even still shows those two digit tubes. The handle. Hinges and clasps are tight and in good condition. Exterior cabinet not water damaged or cracked however, it does have marks paint splatters, and tears consistent with its age. HICKOK CA-4 Compactron adaptor for 539-B
Offered is a HICKOK brand CA-4 compactron adaptor with manual and data settings for the 539B tester. This adaptor will let you test compactron tubes with your 539B tester. It has both 9 and 12 pin compactron sockets in addition to 9 pin mini and Nuvistor sockets. The manual/data sheet booklet that comes with it gives you instructions on how the set-up works. Test data appears to be fairly limited. I see settings for 6C10. 6D10, 6K11, 7868, and only one useful sweep tube setting for 6JS6C. Perhaps the roll chart on the 539B gives you the set-up for the other sweep tubes and the booklet adds info for ones not on the chart. I am not sure. In any event, this unit is complete and appears to be in good cosmetic condition. Untested. Shipping is extra.

I got this from my Dad about 20 years ago and never used it. Looks to be in very nice condition but has been sitting in my office closet. I have no tubes to test it but it powers up. Has a few marks on it in pencil and a red pencil mark near the center of the face. Has the original manual dated 1965 and the supplement for obsolete tubes dated 1968. Has some adaptors with it. Probably needs to be calibrated and gone over by someone qualified. It is heavy so I will ship economy and with insurance and tracking. If you want otherwise let me know at auctions end. Hickok 550X tube tester. Is overall clean and in good condition. There is some wear to the case covering(see photos) but still in pretty decent shape. The leather handle has some wear but still seems solid. This does power on and I tried a few of the functions and it seems like it all works well but I don't have the equipment to fully test the functions. US Navy Improved TV-7 Hickok Design- TV-10 A/U Tube Tester VG Cond& Working Reads out Mutual Conductance Directly in Micromhos. Top of the line. Military Quality. TV-10A/U Tube Tester. The TV-7/ 10 series of military tube testers are considered some of the best testers ever made. The TV-10 is a larger variant of the TV-7 and has a major advantage in that it reads out directly in micromhos and has a built in roll chart. The design is supremely rugged and compact. It tests a great many types quickly and easily and enjoys wide support. If you want a tube tester that gives great results with a direct readout than this is the one! The TV-10 is not a very well known tube tester. There just weren't very many of them made and they are hard to find. It is basically an up-scale version of the ever popular TV-7. Like most other US military tube ... moretesters. The TV-10 is a mutual transconductance tester designed by Hickok. This TV-10A/U is a pretty nice example. The outer case has its share of superficial dings and scratches but inside it is in great condition. Very clean panel and immaculate interior. The roll chart works smoothly and the tube tester works just fine as well. The only flaws worth mentioning is a crack or two in the plastic instruction sheet mounted in the lid and the power cord is getting a little stiff. I compared the readings with a friends TV-7 and this set was close but slightly higher on the tubes we checked[12AX7. 6V6, 6L6, 6BQ5] It has a Navy calibration sticker from 1968, so it's somewhat overdue for a calibration[several guys on the web will do calibrations reasonably] It measures approx 18" X 7" X 10" and very well packed[double boxed] shipping weight will be 26.5 pounds from zip code 24012. It might be able to be repaired but I will include a similar replacement in case it cannot be fixed. The rear of the wooden case has some mold/mildew staining which may or may not be cleanable. The wooden case appears to be made of oak with very nice box corner joinery. The handle feels nice and solid as are the rubber feet on the bottom. The plastic window for the scroll chart is warped/bowed inward on one side. This tube tester works great but does need a tuneup I've enjoyed having it. But don't use it much do I'm selling it and will be listing all my tubes in the next week too. It powers up and works great but could use a tuneup. The power cord is starting to Frey and the big porcelain tube socket is cracked and the small cord input could be replaced. The tube chart is a little tight and could use to be reset too. And there are dings in the case. But it still works great I've tested and sold tubes with it on Ebay and never had a complaint.
