It was made in the USA and while I am not sure of the date I would guess it to be late 1950s. There is no model number on it. Though it appears very similiar to 600 series units I have seen. This vintage unit tests 4, 5, 6 and 7"big pin" tubes as well as octal, loktal, 7& 9 pin miniatures. It is not setup for subminiatures, compactrons or nuvistors. The case measures approximately 14"x10"x6" The unit shows some normal wear and tear, the worst damage being a slight bend to the pointer on the meter(see photos. I checked a few tubes with it and found that some seemed to work fine but others did not show any reading at all. HICKOK Model 532 Vacuum Radio Electron TUBE TESTER WORKING tests 4 Pins COMPLETE
For sale here is a HICKOK Model 532 vacuum tube tester. The unit is working as you can see by the first picture im testing a known good 6L6. The unit does seem to be complete though unit will need a good cleaning as most tube testers do. I sprayed the insides down with deoxit to help with connectivity and electrical lubricant to help the switches turn smoothly. As with all tube testers it MUST be assumed that the unit needs a calibration. As you can see it is working powering on(pilot lamp needs replaced) etc. The roll chart is free and moving as well as the switches and knobs including a free moving meter.
