VINTAGE PRECISION MODEL 654 RADIO TUBE & SENSITIVITY TESTER W /INSTRUCTIONS +++
This old Precision Series 654 Tube and High Sensitivity Set Tester has not been tested but the red power light works when plugged in and the Ohms Line Adjustment dial works. The wooden case has some scuffs and some age soiling but is in solid condition. The unit comes with all the paper works shown on the photos. 5 Supplementary Data Charts, The Operating Instructions, has been rolled up, but is still legible, plus 9 other papers, mostly pertaining to tube data, plus 6 tubes and the VIBRA-DAPTOR Model VB2. VINTAGE HICKOK TUBE TESTER MODEL 600 - FIXER UPPER OR PARTS - POWERS UP, NO LID!
Up for auction is a vintage Hickok tube tester Model 600. This unit has a missing lid/cover. The 5Y3 and 83 tubes are in working order. But the 83 is probably on its last legs, just an FYI. The tubes are dated 0-43 and 0-50. The meter is in working order too. Some mounting screws are missing and the case has normal wear, scratches, and a few gouges. The scroll works and is dated 12-1-56. All knobs and switches are in tact and appear to be functional. I was able to power this unit up without any fuss as you can see in the pictures. I tested three different tubes.80. 6CG7, and 6F6G. After testing the three tubes, I found the readings a bit lower in comparison with my TV7 tester. The worst reading was the first side of the 6CG7 as this tube is in good condition(both sides) but came up with a false bad. I also had trouble with testing a 12AX7, ... morewhere neither side gave me a reading for whatever reason. I believe all this unit needs is a good cleaning and calibration and some TLC. Unfortunately. I have no know-how in performing these things. This would make for a good candidate as a fixer upper or you may be inclined to use it for parts. The choice is yours. Vintage Military Tube Tester model I-177B
Here is a Vintage Military Tube Tester model I-177B in very good cosmetic condition for its age. It does work and was tested using a few old tubes I had as shown.Tube socket A was used using a 5Z3 tested good. Socket E 6L6 tested ok and socket L using a 9002 tube tested ok.I have not checked all the sockets only the 3 as shown.The fuse bulb along with the short bulb light up.The AC cable is frayed and needs to be replaced.I also will include a brand new AC cable if you want to replace it.The tube tester overall for its age is in pretty nice shape and works.I'm not sure when it was last calibrated.Because its about 55 years old there is no warranty or returns.It will not be DOA.I had 2 of them and just sold one about a month ago and you will see in my feedback the buyer was satisfied with the purchase of the first.So if you have any questions ... moreplease email me before you bid.This will be shipped using FedEx only and payment to be made no later than 48 hours after the close of the auction. Vintage Chicago Tube And Set Tester Model 532
I'm not real for sure of the capabilities or the features of this model. I have plugged it in and tested some AA and AAA batteries and that feature does work correctly. The paper scroll does scroll smoothly. Made by Chicago model 532. The case measures shut 15 1/2" by 12 1/2" by 8 1/2" The lid opens and has a mirror attached to it. Overall the operating board and case are in good shape. I have no way of testing the complete capabilities of this unit because I don't have the tubes or the knowledge. Money back if not satisfied. I do not have any tubes to further test the machine but the meter works as it should. The tester is in Good cosmetic condition. All of the original buttons and knobs are present and intact on the tester. The lights on the tester work as they should as well. The tester comes in its original carrying case. The case does show signs of wearing from use over the years but is still intact. I took a lot of pictures to show you what you are receiving. The tester in in excellent working condition. It's beautiful, I don't know that a guy could ask for much more. It comes with the original build books, and even the supplementary tube charts. The inside shows very little signs of use, the outside has just a few scuffs. Only other thing worth mentioning, 2 of the rubber stick on feet have come off the case. The tester hasn't been used since the early 80's. I can't say it enough, excellent condition. Thanks for looking! For sale is a vintage Hickock model 532 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. The tester does power up when you turn it on and I could not see any reason why it would not work. I am not at all familiar with this machine and don't know what buttons to push to do a real test with it. I do have a box of tubes if someone would like to tell me how to do it. Vintage Supreme Model 85 Tube Tester for Parts or Repair
I just picked up this Supreme model 85 at a public sale. It is missing lid, instructions and tube data. I got what I needed on internet to check it out. Testers meter adjusted to center as it should so I tried testing good 6A3 tube, I could not get a reading but bulb lit so its not burnt out. I tried a type 80 rectifier tube it seemed to test ok. Cosmetically its not bad, the top left and right corners are broke at screw holes, and a screw is missing to the right of leakage test bulb. This offering is for a vintage Superior Instruments Model 83 C.R.T. Tube Tester for Color and Black and White Tubes. It seems to be in good vintage condition. It powers up, but I have no way of testing it. The previous owner said it worked fine. It still has the original operating manual which is in very good, untorn condition. Cords are in very good condition and the case is in good condition(see pictures) The case is clean and sound, but does have some rust that will need to be cleaned off the exterior metal. The handle is strong and the closing snaps work well, a separation is beginning to form at the back of the top's edge. This Tester belonged to my father who at one time worked for Radio Marine after WWII and Loral Electronics during the late 50's& 60's. Unknown if it is operational. It appears to be in good condition. But I do not know how to work it so I could not test it. The solid wood case is weathered on the exterior, and handle also very weathered. Here we have a used B&K model 607 solid state tube tester. The case is in nice condition except for what looks like dirt and paint in some spots. I wiped it down. But a good cleaning should make it almost new looking. The inside is very clean, let the pictures be your guide to its condition. Even though one picture shows the unit in use, it is being sold for parts and not working. Tube not included. It should be serviced by a competent technician before you use it. Vintage HICKOK Model 540 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Radio Amp Stereo
Here's an interesting early HICKOK tube tester model 540. It tests early 4 pin tubes through those of the octal era. I have not done exhaustive testing nor did I evaluate all test settings but the instrument did power on and I was able to test a few tubes. Pictured is a 6F6 under test. The resulting meter deflection appears reasonable but the tube tester has not been recently calibrated. The test meter is contained within a carrying case. The handle is tattered but functional and the tolex-like covering is worn in spots but overall not bad. It measures 14 1/2" x 15 3/4" x 7" not including the handle. Out of a SCRANTON PENNSYLVANIA ESTATE is this VINTAGE EICO Model 625 VACUUM TUBE TESTER(measuring 12.5" x 10" x 4" Serial number 26953) It did light up when I plugged it in[SEE THIRD PHOTO] I don't know if it still tests tubes accurately as I have no knowledge of this electronic area. Here is a vintage Lafayette Tube Tester Model TE-15. This tester appears to be in working condition. I found an old tube and plugged the tester in. I put the tube in the correct position and followed the instructions in the book. The tube lit up. The red light came on when I moved the some of the switches which indicated there was a leak. I then tested the quality which the needle on the gauge pointed to"Replace" This tester comes with the operating instructions. This tester has been sitting around in a garage for a long time and needs a major cleaning. There are scratches and some surface rust. The"Load" knob is broken. I'm not sure about the wire that goes to the clip that hooks to the top of some tubes. It looks ok but I'm not sure. Some of the rubber that surrounds the clip is torn and missing. Vintage Knight Kit Model KG-600C Tube Tester w Instruction Manual Tube Chart '69
Here is a nice vintage Knight Kit KG-600C Tube Tester. Made by Allied Radio Corp of Chicago Illinois USA made back in 1969. The Tester was found with the original assembly manual and tube chart, is in used very good condition with some wear as pictured, and 1 of the knobs does not tightened up on the shaft and the rubber on the clip for the connecting the top metal of the tube has dried out. The tube tester was plugged in and lights up, meter adjusts, all controls appear to work, the tube chart spins properly and I tested a few tubes and the tester appears to work, but may need to be adjusted. The Case shows some wear with the handle is broken as pictured, is missing 2 feet, but both latches work properly. As pictured. Up for auction is this Vintage Mercury Model 1100 Portable Tube Tester. Used for Diagnostic testing of vacuum tubes from old Radios. TV's, Amp's. Came out of the estate of an old electrician who also moonlighted as a TV repair guy. First and foremeost, I know virtually nothing about vacuum tubes from vintage devices, let alone testing them. There is no manual included with tester. I only had one old radio in the house. So I removed the tube, plugged it into a tube port that fit the pin profile. turned the unit on, and flipped a couple dials til I got it to light. So, there is functionality. very possibly fully functional, but there's no way for me to demonstrate that, or warrant it. I attached a YouTube Video so you can see the unit in action. I shot it in the dark so you can see the glow from the tube. Comes with sheet for determining how to test certain tubes. That sheet has some wear and tears/creases on it. But is very readable.
