Vintage Eico Vacuum Tube Tester Model 625 Electronic Test equipment
This tester seems to work ok. Occasionally I would have to flip or rotate the switches a couple of times to get it to work. The more I used it. The better it seemed to work. I'm not for sure but it would seem that maybe some of the contacts need cleaned, maybe blown out? Also the needle seems to jump or jitter around while testing, I don't know if this is normal. The face plate is in pretty good condition with some minor dings and scuffs. The outer housing is missing a lot of the finish and has some minor surface rust. I'm not sure if the two light bulbs on the lower corners are working. They had never came on when I tested a few tubes. It looks like the power cord may have been replaced. The information/data scroll has one small spot that had been tore and taped back together(see picture) My knowledge of things of this nature ... moreare minimal. Excellent Rare Old Vintage NRI ~NATIONAL RADIO INSTITUTE~ Model 68 Tube Tester
This is a great looking old model 68 tube tester from the old radio tech's estate. Thia had been in a box for years. The metal holder case is great shape with no dents or bad scratches in it. The latch on the lid works perfectly and holds lid tight closed. Hinges are tight and not loose fitted. This still has all 5 rubber feet that are soft and not cracked or broken. The face plate of this is nearly perfect with no scratches or dirt. The gauge is not cracked or broken and it works. The wires of this are not cracked or broken. I tried this out on a couple different tubes and it worked great on them. All knobs are present and they all move as they are suppose to move. The paper orerating instruction book in the lid is not the best of shape. Some pages are torn and loose from the staples. The leather holder stap on the top of the lid is ... moresoft also. Hello. Up for sale is a Vintage Hickok Model 532 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. This unit does not come with a case. It has been panel mounted in my shop until I recently moved. This listing is For Parts not Working. However. The only flaw I am aware of is that it cannot power the heaters of any 12.6V tubes, like 12ax7's etc. This unit does test 6.3v tubes and I use it regularly to test 6l6's, el34's, and other common octal power pentode's. If you look at the last picture. You will see a switch that I think is the culprit of why the 12.6V heater circuit is not working. Maybe you have one: I think this price is fair. The internal wiring was in poor condition due to age and poor wiring practice by the original assembler. I replaced most of the original wires with new vinyl insulated wiring and added a terminal board to better organize the wiring and on which to secure the several resistors. Also improved the bearing arrangement of the chart rollers for smoother action. Refurbished tester has been tested with several tubes from an early short wave receiver and it appears to function as designed. This is a great estate find from upstate NY. It is a Hickok model 600A tube tester. It has the instruction manual and a roll chart. I don't have any tubes to test nor do I know anything about tube testers. I cannot verify the working condition of this tester because of my lack of knowledge. I do know that the light(as seen in the photo) does turn on although it does flicker very faintly. The chord is a little stiff and there are a couple rips in the rubber towards the plug. It measures 17" wide. 11" deep and 8" tall and is in a hard case that snaps closed. There is some wear to the red case, such as spots where the bare wood is showing through and one of the metal feet has pushed through the wood case. Vintage Hickok Model 600A Micromho Tube Tester with Roll Chart
Up for sale here is this vintage Hickok 600A tube tester. I picked up this tester from an estate many years ago. And it has been sitting on a box in my basement since then. I plugged it in and two light bulbs on the front lit up very faintly, but I tried to test a tube and got nothing. The bulbs stopped lighting up after that. I would assume that this needs recalibration at minimum, and possibly more than that. The big sprague grey thing on the back(resistor? appears to be cracked. The paper roll scrolls smoothly and reads great. Cord is fine. I have not cleaned, repaired, tested, or worked on this in any way. This tester has no case unfortunately. JACKSON TYPE 648A TUBE TESTER For your consideration. We are offering a vintage vacuum tube tester. Partially tested to be in working condition. I powered it up. It adjusts properly to my line voltage. I tested an old 6E5, seems fine, nice bright display and 110% reading. Then I tried a 76 triode and it came up 90% Then I tried a 12AU7 and it came up 5% but it tested great on my EICO 628. So I figure it needs restoration. All the buttons seem to be working good, some were sticking at fist, but got better as I kept working them. So it has good transformers. Good meter and good controls. Schematic on the bottom, inside. Clean chassis internals. Heck, the handle isn't even broken. OK, the case cover is rough. That's easy. Overall, restoration should be pretty inexpensive. Radio City Products Model 309 Dynoptimum Test tube tester. Includes 6 sheets of tube data, the operating instructions are glued to the inside lid. The tester powers on and the meter will set to the line adjust point and this will test tubes but it needs repairs. The"LV Control" to adjust the line voltage has dead spots and the"Shunt Control" is flaky at best, all other switches/controls appear to function just fine, when testing known good tubes the meter reading is lower than expected, for some much lower. The case shows some signs of wear and tear which is normal for the age of the unit, however the interior/face is very clean as you can see in the pictures listed below. This unit powers up perfectly and everything looks to be in working order. However. Since we do not have the equipment to calibrate the unit or fully test it, in accordance with eBay policy it will sold for parts or repair. As it is untested. Vintage EMC Electronic Measurements Corp. Radio Tube Tester Model 213/15 Works!
EMC vintage tube tester measures 8.5 x7.25 x 3 inches. This is one of four vintage tube testers I found in an old house I recently purchased. I had a successful auction of a non working tester last week. I have little knowledge about electronics and was reluctant to use a liquid cleaner on tester. I'm sure it can look a little better. The only physical defect I can see is what I call the top of tube tester. One end has a chip. see photos 10 and 11) I checked 4 tubes from a vintage working Motorola radio and followed the manual instructions very carefully. you can download complete manual from internet. just search EMC tester manual) One tube was questionable on the shorts test. But passed the quality test. I put the tubes back in radio and, of course, it played just fine. Tubes checked were. 35W4. 50C5. 12BA6 and 12BE6. I do not have ... morea tube to check the top tube tester( one with a chip) I realize this test was limited. But with my limited knowledge, it's the best I can do. Thanks for looking!
