It absolutly needs a new power cord before it could even be tested safely but, after noticing some screws missing on the cover I had to open it up to make sure it wasn't gutted. As you can see in the pictures aside from a coating of dust the interior looks surprisingly good with no evidence that anything but age has deteriorated the cord on the outside of the cover, even the paper roll looks quite good. This is a large heavy object so shipping will be quoted as parcel post. If you live between the mountains like me and won't get hit by the post office for a substantial upcharge for oversize packages or just want it fast I'll offer Priority Mail as an option. It's in good cosmetic condition with some nicks on the exterior and it needs a good cleaning. We do not know if it works properly or needs calibration. It powers up as shown but we don't know how to use it or have any tubes to test it. Dimensions are 17" long x 11" tall x 7" thick and it weighs 17 lbs. It is offered with NO RESERVE. This vintage tube tester is in great cond. It is a Model 700 made by Precision Apparatus Co. Brooklyn NY USA. All knobs and dials and roller work smoothly. I have powered this tester up and it does power up. The needle on the gauge moves. It is not broken or stuck. The wooden box has dovetail corners and is in great cond. Box has a Sylvania decal.Handle hinges and closures are all great. It has a leather handle. The power cord has hardened and the outer coating is cracking off however it does work.This is a really nice tube tester in a really nice box. As with all electrical items I sell I cannot guarantee it works only that it does power up. There is an instructional booklet and it says Operating Instructions for Series 700. Vintage test equipment in used condition. Has missing/wrong screws on face plate. There is some electrical tape around the power cord where it goes through the plaate. The carrying case shows signs of wear but overall very good condition. The paper reel is intact with no tears and the thumb dial works smoothly. Testing: Unit powers up. The line adjust works. Tested a few known good and bad tubes on the 9-pin socket only. It"passed" the good tubes and"failed" the bad ones so it appears to be somewhat functional. Instrument is not/has not been cailbrated so accuracy is not known. That is the extent of the testing that was done. No manuals. Test leads, socket adapters etc included. It has a beautiful hardwood case(appears to be oak or birch) with finger-joint construction. Eight rubber feet protect your desktop in both the working position and the standup position. good working vintage U-TEST-EM stationary floor model electron tube tester
SquareTrade © AP6.0 1960 vintage U-Test-Em model 1901 stationary tube tester. 58 1/2" tall x 21" wide x 20" front to back. Sheet metal cabinet has locking door on the bottom with slide out tray shelves. There are 5 tray slots but only 2 trays. Cabinet is in fair cosmetic condition but equipment appears to be good working. Glass insert on the cabinet base door is cracked. Glass panel with advertising is missing from the overhead light section. Some minor surface rust and wear and on the cabinet. For testing Efficiency. Plug the tube into the correct socket and allow 30 seconds to warm up. Meter should read at the chart indicated value or higher. I tested several tubes and the values appear reasonable. I have a brand new 6U7 tube which shows a value of 50 on the cabinet chart and the meter tests at 55. I have a used 6K7 ... morewhich should test at 50 but only registers 40. Shorts or gas leaks should light up on the panel but none of the tubes I tested appear to be faulty in that respect. There is a toggle power switch mounted on the panel, however, the only way to turn off the overhead light is to unplug the unit. Pretty neat and usable unit. For local pick up here in York, PA 17406. Vintage Heathkit Tube Tester Model IT-21, very good condition, fully functional
Up for auction is a Heathkit Tube Tester Model IT-21. This tube tester is in excellent cosmetic condition. There are minor scuff and scrapes on it. But nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage piece such as this. There is a knob missing on the lower right side and on the bottom of the unit the caps on the A& L levers are also missing. It is missing two foot pads on the left side and also on the back side it is missing one foot pad on the top left side on the back of the tester. Other than those few flaws, this is a very clean unit that has been tested and all knobs and switches and plugs& plug-ins appear to function properly. I was not able to test every bulb socket because I did not have all the sizes, I did have 7 different bulbs a few different sizes and each worked so I assume all the other sockets do too. VINTAGE EICO MODEL 625 TUBE TESTER & ROLL CHART VACUUM ELECTRONIC AMPLIFIER TV
Up for auction is a vintage Eico Model 625 tube tester. The serial number is 68782W. I recently purchased a number of vintage tube related items from an estate and this tester came from that group. The tester was plugged in and it lights up. But I don't know how to test it properly. The roll chart scrolls smoothly and the cabinet is in good shape, but needs a cleaning. The cord is in good, serviceable condition. Please note that one of the lever knobs is missing(see photos) If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me. The wood case has no real marks. Except the usual aging. No chips,crack or lifting. The tester itself works perfectly, and has an additional 5th testing slot on the right side you don't see on most of the 912 models( see photo#2) It has it original paper work with updated tube scroll s. I tested several tubes and everything worked fine. However i would recommend a calibration as with any tube tester. BEING SOLD AS IS. Please see pictures for further description. Vintage/Antique 3 Base Metal- Decorative Pocket Watch Cases Up for Auction is a vintage"Accurate Instrument Co" Model 157 Tube Tester with Instruction book. All original and in working condition as far as I can determine. Tested a new tube and showed"good" The inside instrument itself is in very good cosmetic condition with only some minor screw rust and minor edge marks. The case itself is very functional and all intact and has usual rust on the hinges and locking latch and some nick's and mark's here and there. Overall good vintage used condition for the age.
