DESCRIPTION: For sale is one used vintage Hickok Model# 752A tube tester. Manufactured by The Hickok Electrical Instrument Company located at 10514 Dupont Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44108. Has a custom black hinged case with rear storage compartment. Front handle, and 2-latches on front; has metal protective pieces on all corners. Exterior measurement of the case is: 18.5" x 17" x 7.25" Weight of case& accessories = 21 lbs 14 oz. Designed only for 115-Volts AC at 50-60 Hz. Serial number under the handle reads: 397-00520. Includes tester unit plus CRT adapter and two small wires with clamps at their ends. See photos. The instruction manual is not included. Also includes. But NOT PICTURED. Is one Sylvania vacuum tube with"6CG8A USA- Sylvania if EZU" printed on it. I do not know what this tube is for other than it was ... moresitting inside the box's rear storage compartment along with the other described accessory wires when I opened it. CONDITION: I powered the unit on and it lights up and appears to function properly; however. Since I'm not an electronics technician, I'm unable to verify if it truly is fully functional. Thus, item is sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. Note that I did press the Line Adjust S10 button and when I varied the line adjust knob the meter registered accordingly.so that is a good sign. Also, neither of the two fuse lights were illuminated, thus another sign it is functional. There is a perfectly in-tact paper roll chart with various tube data on it(no tears/ no damage to paper roll) I tested it by using the scroll knob located to the right of it on the faceplate and successfully scrolled it up and down without issue. There is a nice white backlight that allows you to read the text very clearly. As noted in the photos. I unscrewed the front metal faceplate(note that 2 wood screws are missing but could easily be replaced) and took a variety of photographs of the electronics inside the unit. Then was sent it directly to C-tech in North Carolina to be calibrated, checked and repaired to be made in perfect working order including all three meters which was done. You can read the label which was placed on it upon finishing the job which indicates exactly what was done to it. Tube chart roller moves perfectly. When it finally got to me in NY I only used it once since 2012. But I paid to get it done correctly. I really love it and I know I'll never get another like this one but I must sell it. I just have too much stuff and this must go. There are two booklets included. Instruction manual and a 1970 copy of the scroll information which I purchased in 2012. Up for auction is this: I-177-B Vacuum Tube Tester US ARMY w/the proper book that gets mounted to the rings in the lid. I just missed getting that in the picture. This is in really nice condition. This has been cleaned. Inspected, and tested. The equipment is in great condition for being roughly 50 years old. Everything works properly. I will NOT say this is calibrated to any standard. I did run it for over a week straight after cleaning it so that everything had a chance to settle in and prove itself over time. The factory specs for some items are pretty broad and the equipment is very old, but everything looks great on my bench in my lab in my home. It is NOT perfect. But it will come with the correct manual that clips into the lid. It IS a nice old piece of gear though and you need to look at the pictures and decide for yourself. HICKOK TRACEOMETER Model 156 Vintage Tube Radio Tester Equiment
In this auction is this interesting piece of tube radio testing equipment. It is a Hickok traceometer model 156. This was used to find problem points in tube radio circuits. It seems to function as a voltmeter and ammeter combination. It still has all the old test probes which are often missing. This piece does have some rust on the bottom so I did not plug it in to test it. I am selling it as is and most likely not functioning. This unit measures 16x11x13 inches high and is pretty heavy.

This is a vintage vacuum tube tester chart for a 1930's Readrite Tube Tester.The Model 432A was made by Readrite Meter Works in Bluffton.Ohio.The 8' X 7" chart was affixed in the lid of the tester box.This one has been placed in a brass and glass frame.The frame,which was made somewhat crudely,has an aged patina and adds interest to the chart.The glass has no cracks which is surprising considering its age.This could be a great addition to a TV or radio collection or to display in a shop or mancave.Thank you for looking.

This is a very user friendly Tube Tester if you are in the market for one. This is a very nice Hickok model 600A. I have tested over 8 different tubes on the tester and it seems to work very well. The roll chart is tight and turns freely. The tube cap squeeze clamps are included which look original. two different sizes) The power cord is very good. Based on the overall condition of the casing and the face itself. I would say that this tester has seen very little use. The serial number plate is attached to the case. The handle, latches, and hinges are secure and work as they should. Latches have some surface rust on them. The case reflects less than normal wear for its age. Also included is an Operating Manual and a Supplimental Tube Chart. The line adjust and meter work well also. All of the knobs are tight and function as they should. This listing is for a NICE TV-7U TUBE TESTER that works. But would benefit from a calibration to be really accurate on all tubes. I have compared it to my recently calibrated TV7-D(calibrated by Dan Nelson in Az) and a 6L6g output tube tests the same as my TV7-D, but a 6BQ5 tests lower than my workhorse. So I believe the tester to be working well, but it should be calibrated. All testers should be calibrated every decade or so, if the user wants extreme accuracy. These sets were designed by HICKOK, and built under goverment contract by a number of contractors to the same exact specs established by HICKOK. They are also TROPICALIZED, further reducing the effects of time on the tester. Up for bid is a clean. Working Precision Apparatus Co. tube tester that came from an estate of a local Ham operator who was very fussy about his equipment. This is a very versatile tube tester because it can test a wide range of tubes from the 1920's all the way up to 1978. Setup information is readily available on line from Chris's Old Radios at no charge(for private use) This is a"dynamic" emissions type tester using their proprietary"Electronamic" testing circuit. The test results compare very closely to results I get using my B&K 707B tester. See the second picture showing testing of a 6CA7/EL34 from my Dynaco amp. B& K MODEL 606 DYNA-JET TUBE TESTER Tested eight new tubes that tested new on my Western Electric Calibrated Tester also tested some defective tubes and this tester showed them to be bad. B&K made some very nice quality tube testers back in the day. This model 606 is one of them. The unit was stored in a humid location so the case and hardware are rusty but the switches. Controls, meter, etc. are clean and the unit is in good shape electronically which is the important thing. It comes with the instruction manual, parts list and schematic diagram and the tube chart book.
