While I can not claim to have fully tested every function on this tester. I have tested multiple bulbs with great results! Comparative readings to another tester I have(since I am unaware when this was last calibrated, I tested against a calibrated TV-7 with great success) This unit was picked up from an Estate Sale a few years ago and space is more of a premium now days than equipment unfortunately. TV-7U TUBE TESTER, NICE CONDITION, TESTS TUBES HICKOK DESIGNED WITH BOOK& ACCESS
This listing is for a NICE TV-7U TUBE TESTER that works. But would benefit from a calibration to be really accurate on all tubes. I have compared it to my recently calibrated TV7-D(calibrated by Dan Nelson in Az) and a 6L6g output tube tests the same as my TV7-D, but a 6BQ5 tests lower than my workhorse. So I believe the tester to be working well, but it should be calibrated. All testers should be calibrated every decade or so, if the user wants extreme accuracy. These sets were designed by HICKOK, and built under goverment contract by a number of contractors to the same exact specs established by HICKOK. They are also TROPICALIZED, further reducing the effects of time on the tester. They test a wide range of tUbes, with a total of 9 sockets for different types of tubes including the early 4 pin fubes like 80, 5U4G, 6SN7s, 12AX7s etc. I nrepained ... morethe case, it had already been repainted, but the paint hed rubbed off in many areas and did not look that great, so I repainted it. All the hardware woeks great, the latches, hinges, and the heavy duty handle all function properly. Unit weighs 19 pounds, shipping weight well packed will be around 24-25 pounds from 73130. US Military TV-7/U Tube Tester Supreme Inc. with Accessories Working
This auction is for a 1953 U.S. Army and Air Force TV-7/U vacuum tube tester. It was made by Supreme Incorporated and includes several accessories. The tester is in good condition and has been tested as working. It should probably be calibrated as most older pieces of test equipment. I tested the unit with several known good tubes and the tester worked. All of the switches. Knobs, dials. And buttons work. The tester also includes three adapter sockets and the tube data booklet. The only flaws I could find is some hardening of the rubber gasket. Some wear to the outside painted finish. And the missing handle. We can ship this item internationally. Hickok TV-7 D/U Military Tube Tester. I purchased this in March 2013 from C.G. Industries. C.G. Industries had calibrated the unit 12/28/2012. The unit has a small sticker above the meter with their contact information. I have used this tested to test hundreds of tubes I have sold to customers and it's done a great job and served me well. I have decided to sell this unit as I recently purchased a 539c. The tester is calibrated and in great working condition. It includes the original 7.8, and 9 pin socket savers, extra 9 pin and 8 pin adapters, one test lead, and two factory adapters that I honestly have never had to use.

Up for sale is a later model emission tube tester that includes sockets and test data for Compactron. Novar and most other recent vacuum tubes. This tester can test many audio and transmitter(sweep) tubes. Comes complete with an assembly manual, schematic and two test data charts. Also included is an"as-built" schematic which is a little different from the one included in the assembly manual. The tester is in good to very good condition(see pictures) and works as designed. All sockets. Controls and transformer voltages have been tested, and the line setting has been calibrated. The CTI TC-20 is designed just like the Heathkit IT-17& IT-21 series of tube testers, and the test data charts are interchangeable between them. For auction a TV-7B/U Hickok military tube tester. This tester has been cased in a TV-7D/U marked case. The cosmetics of this tube tester are excellent. New data book, all accessories are present. All original knobs. The tester is functioning, however there are some issues it needs to be calibrated, there is some erratic testing of some tube numbers, shown in one of the pictures I am testing a 6BM8 and it tests fairly accurate, the line test works correctly. This tester can be used as it is, however to perform correctly repair and calibration will be needed. I am offering this tester AS IS, due to the above work that needs to be done. It is basically an upscale version of the ever popular TV-7. Like most other US military tube testers. The TV-10 is a mutual transconductance tester designed by Hickok. This unit is in excellent conditions. The case has been oversprayed, it has been tested and is OK working conditions, it is wired to 115 volts, copy of instruction manual is included. Features Uses the mutual transconductance method of measuring tube quality. This is the most reliable method known for assessing tube quality. The TV-10 reads the mutual transconductance directly on the meter in micromhos while the TV-7 only reads a relative number on it's meter. VINTAGE HICKOK TUBE TESTER MODEL T-53 T53 VACUUM RADIO TV TELEVISION
This auction is for a Vintage Hickok Tube Tester T-53. With no reserve. The tester shows some wear and can be seen in the twelve(12) pictures below. The tester is sold as is and I do not know if it works properly or not. When it is plugged in and it is turned on, the light of the meter goes on. When the Line Adjustment knob is moved the light for the meter goes dimmer and brighter. When the line test button is pushed, the meter goes to a little over 1500. When the roller is turned the chart moves from Stop to Stop. I see no light for the chart. The coating for the red wire has some breaks in the coating. Military TV-7A/U Mutual Conductance Tube Tester - Refurbished, Calibrated
This tester was my own for many years. It has not seen difficulty duty. It has no dents or dings. But the paint is of course nicked in places due to its time in the Army. I've included a fresh(Oct/2014) calibration. The 83 rectifier tube tests almost as new. All controls are intact and not chipped or broken. Calibration using Nelson Cal tubes was excellent. I also tested it against my Hickok 752A tester and my TV-10D/U tester. All sockets are tight. You won't find a better example of the TV-7A/U anywhere. It is in really nice condition. With only minor surface wear to the case. It has been very well taken care of. The worst thing I see is that the back cover of the booklet got stuck to the inside of the case at some point so there is some paper stuck there from where it was pulled off. Book is still fully legible and can still clip into place. The unit itself looks great. This unit was tested and works as it should. It is actually pretty easy to use. Hickok TV-7D/U Tube tester, Extremely nice condition, Depot overhauled / Cal'd
Here's a really nice TV-7D tube tester in excellent operating condition and cosmetic condition. It appears to me that it was never used in the field. There's no obvious wear either on the inside or outside of the case. This comes with the US Army Depot box when it was calibrated or overhauled in 1978. I just checked the calibration(to Mil TM-11-6625-274-35) and it needed just one minor adjustment since the overhaul. See my calibration test sheets in the last two pictures. This has the standard accessories. And an unused tube chart. All of this looks unused. As you can see from the pictures the front panel. And the chassis are also like new. The tube sockets are likewise look unused. Some info. The TV-7D has several improvements over earlier units e.g. it has parasitic oscillation damping(ferrite beads) and it has a higher GM range(position ... moreF) for testing the later(high Gm) tubes. This of course will test all early tubes including Western Electrics. There are sockets for 4.5,6,7,8 octal. 8 loctal, 7/ 9 pin minatures and acorns. It is possible to make adapters for the later 9/ 12 pin sweep tubes. This has been completely calibrated to the Army Tech manual(TM 11-6625-274-35) specs. The two factors that have the most influence on unit to unit repeatability are the signal voltage levels(step 4) and the transconductane(plate AC current) These are right on their center values(see test calibration data) The TV-7's are considered to be standard by many people. They're obviously built to the highest standard and they don't have the"English" pot that many Hickok's used to change the transconductance range. TV-7's that are calibrated properly don't depend on using a"standard" 6L6) tube for adjusting the(transconductance) scales. Instead this calibration is done by using by using a known AC plate current(from an isolated transformer) and knowing the AC grid test signal. Multi-Amp Military TV-7 D/U Tube Tester. In fair to good cosmetic condition. This tester is not in it's original case I believe and does not include accessories. Looks to have been mounted in a case for a Hickok 600/800 or 6000/8000 series tester but I am not sure, as I don't have one of those here to compare… Power transformer has one loose mounting leg to chassis. I've repaired it a bit from when I received it, but still should not receive rough handling until that is addressed further. Tester cleaned. A few caps replaced, shorts/fuse lamp replaced…some loose wires re-soldered to proper terminals… powered up slowly on a variac. Can set line voltage.can test most tubes with the exception of power tubes such as a 6L6? Noticed one of the transformer terminals is not connected to anything and no evidence as to where it should be ... morehooked up?further troubleshooting is necessary and possibly calibration as well, though the tubes I tested stayed close to my other mutual conductance testers in readings. The 83 and 5Y3 military WGTB rectifier tubes were replaced with good used tubes with balanced sides.
