UP FOR AUCTION IS A VINTAGE 1950'S US ARMY SIGNAL CORPS I-177-B TUBE TESTER MADE BY THE DAVEN COMPANY. THIS IS ONE OF MY FATHERS MANY TUBE TESTERS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A NEW TESTER. IF USED HARDLY AT ALL, AS HE SAID HE NEVER USED IT. BEEN SITTING AROUND IN THE BASEMENT SINCE HE BOUGHT IT MANY MANY YEARS AGO. IT IS IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION. I TESTED A TUBE AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO AND IT PRETTY MUCH MATCH'S UP WITH READINGS FROM A COUPLE OTHER TUBE TESTERS WITH SIMILAR RESULTS. THE TUBE SOCKETS ARE INCREDIBLY TIGHT, THE METER IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND SO IS THE FACE PLATE OF THIS TESTER. THE CASE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I DID REPLACE THE ORIGINAL CORD AND PLUG-IN WITH A NEWER AND SAFER 3 PRONG PLUG-IN AS THE OLD ONE WAS IN BAD SHAPE. DO NOT LET THIS TESTER PASS YOU BY AS THEY ARE BECOMING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND. DUE TO THE ... moreAGE OF THIS TESTER I AM SELLING IT" AS IS" GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BIDDING.

Vintage Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester I-177-B Signal Corps
I-177-B Tube Tester by Daven looks GREAT under the lid! Appears to be all original and used very little. When I plugged it in it did not power up. All the panel screws are in place and not buggered up. I'm thinking the toggle power switch may be stuck internally and some contact cleaner may free it up- I'll report back. Also one knob is missing on the micro-mhos switch. The cover could be straightened but it closes easily and the latches work as-is. Note that I'm also listing the I-177-B's companion MX-949A/U Adaptor Box in a separate listing. Closing after the tube tester sells. 006.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%600d72f%2B%3E006-14770084738-0x114-
