OIffered for auction is this vintage Hickok Model 6000 A Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester. It is in beautifull condition for it's age.It is fully functional. Roll chart is smooth, it is very clean, no scratches or dings on the face plate. This checks tubes and early transistors as well. The only issue is it is missing the lid. HICKOK MODEL 6000 TUBE TESTER Up for auction is a Hickok Model 6000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. The exterior case shows wear and tear but it's still in good shape for it's age. The Roll Chart is in good working condition. It turns freely and smoothly. Photocopy of User's Manual, Test Data will be included. The tester is working condition and has been calibrated recently. The meter is original and accurate. The type 83 rectifier for Plate voltage supply and 5Y3GT for Green& Bias voltage have been replaced with strong tubes. This is a vintage Hickok Model 6000 Micromba dynamic mutual conductance tube tester. It has the following knobs. Plug ins, buttons: Filament.6-117; bias 0-100; shunt 0-100; micromhos dynamic mutal conductance meter; fuse light; power off to line adjust; no. 49 lamp bias fuse; shorts; function A-G; filament continuity, test, gas buttons; filament A-M; grid 0-Y; plate 1-O; screen 0-Y; cathode 0-Y; suppressor 0-Y. There is a section for Selectors& Chart, but there is no levers for both. It also includes the roll chart for it. The power cord and one other short connector cord is included. Serial#18711127. A photocopy of the user manual& tube data will be included. I have plugged it in and it powers up. As you can see from pictures, but not able to fully test. It was my friend's Grandfathers unit, and has been in storage for over 15 ... moreyears. I don't know much about these, so please see pictures for condition. This is sold as is& where is with no returns. Cosmetically it is in good used condition with some dings& scratches. Vintage Hickok 6000 Tube Tester. I plugged this tester in and turned it to the on position. The meter moved up towards the? mark. I plugged a 6l6 tube in and it warmed up but when I pressed the test button the meter goes from? down to 0. Might be an easy fix I just don't have time to mess with it. Looks all original even the cord. Sold for repair or parts. Not a plug and play item. Please see my other listings for more vintage electronics.

Hickok model 6000 tube tester. Super clean face. Recently acquired from an estate. As you can see the face of this tester looks great. The case is a little beat up but not to bad. We are not techs. We are selling this"as is" described to the best of our ability. It powers up and the meter works. We have no idea if its been calibrated and we have no way to test it further. All the knobs are present and seem to do what they are suppose to do. The rubber shield on part of the power cord has crumbled a little. Again as with all vintage electronics we are selling this"as is" No returns. Shipping will be $40 economy shipping anywhere to the lower 48 states only.

Bought two vintage tube testers from the son of the original owner. Said he kept these around enough years. Selling these and a couple vintage floor radios that has been in his family since he was small. This is a Hickok Model 6000 per the label. It says Micromho. Dynamic Mutual Conductance TUBE TESTER. Serial# on front of the case is 23414504. I see other auctions for a model 6000A but this is definitely a Model 6000 which was I believe an earlier model. Copied some info about the difference. Models 6000 and 6000A. These were the successors to the 600 series. The 6000 has sockets up to 9-pin mini. The 6000A does not have 4.5,7 pin older sockets, but it does have the 9 and 12 pin compactrons. These are nice compact testers and data is widely available. The fellow I bought it from said he is sure it works and that his father ran a radio repair ... moreshop someplace. I do not know how to test this. I plugged it in. When I turn the power knob from off to 125( which I assume is line voltage adjustment) the needle moves smoothly to the center area on the needle gauge and continues higher if I turn the knob a bit higher. There was an old small GM Delco Electron tube in the box( will be included) and when I installed it and pushed the test button the needle swung towards"bad" for what that is worth. I would not conclude much from this since I am sure the other 12 knobs and dials would have some impact on a tube test? I guess you get the idea that I know really nothing more about this tester beyond what I stated. The case is worn and tattered as the pictures show although the hinges, snaps, handle and S/N tag are intact. One could either re-cloth it or build a nice oak case I guess using this original hardware if so inclined. The cord has been folded inside the case for many years and is quite brittle. As soon as it is straightened I would guess it might fall to pieces and should be replaced. Description Up for auction is a vintage Hickok Model 6000 Micromho Dynamic Tube Tester. It is in good condition. Does power up and I did test two known good tubes. It did work as the tubes passed and were good. The original fuse bulb was damaged and replaced with a lighted auto type bulb.I could not find the correct fuse. A full operational test of this unit has NOT been done. It is not known if it will fully perform as originally intended. All of the mechanicals do work with the exception of the chart that has a habit of hanging up. I do not have the adapter. It is being sold as is.as it is shown as it was described.
