Up for auction is a VINTAGE SUPERIOR INSTRUMENT CO. MODEL TD-55 TUBE TESTER w/ CHARTS. CASE& MANUAL. This tester looks to be in good condition. When I plug it in and turn it on, I can hear a slight humming sound and the needle bounces a bit. That is all the testing that was done as that is all I know how to do. The plastic covering over the meter is a bit hazy but you can still read through it. All of the knobs, switches and dials are present and move as they should. There is also a vinyl carry case, an operating instruction manual, a tube tester trouble finder chart and a tube chart dated April 1957. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

Up for auction is a Century Model FC-2 Vacuum Tube Tester with the original manual/ tube data chart booklet. Awesome estate sale find. This tester appears to be in good working condition- it powers up but I have not tested any tubes with it(do not possess any) As the photos show. The unit powers up and the face of the tester is clean with clear lettering and original knobs. The original manual includes the tube data charts. The oak case is still in good condition as well with a nice patina, the handle is in good condition and the latches and hinges all work. The power cord also is in good shape with no frays, etc. I am not a vintage electrical equipment/ tube tester expert so ask any questions before bidding. Selling"as is" No returns. For sale. Top of the line, Military TV-2B/U Vacuum Electron Tube Test Set with manual. This set is in great condition as the photos clearly show. Indicators, sockets and control panel look beautiful. Has a three prong plug too. I purchased this 20 years ago and when it arrived. Went into dry, desert storage as I was working overseas at the time. 20 years later, it's still sitting there. I purchased it from Tucker Electronics. Who at the time had just gone through it and calibrated it(NIST) I never put power on it. There are a few light dings to the case from previous use during it's life but nothing to effect its function. The only thing to note is that the two test cables(red and black) with the clips on them got old and need to be replaced. Their rubber coatings are dried out and very stiff. That's why the price is low. Those ... morecables with clips can be easily found in multimeter kits or at Fry's Electronics or similar. Etc. and are easily changed. I lowered the price 200.00 because of that, so get it here cheap. If it were me, I'd remove the existing red and black cables and replace them with female test sockets and use fresh red and black cables with clips and male bananna jacks to make it easy to service in the future. Other than that, it looks great. Test chart moves when the thumbwheel is turned. Includes manual and Tucker's inspection sheet. B& K Dyna Jet Tube Tester- Model#606 Working vintage 1970's tube tester. Good condition with a few flaws- please read description. This is in pretty good shape for it's age. The plastic rim around the top cap is broken- it will still plug on and make connection fine. There is some damage where the electrical cord(that plugs into the wall) comes out of the testing unit, the rubbery coating around that is loose. This unit measures 11" x 8.5" and is 4.5" deep(when all closed up) The case shows wear. The snap closure works perfect and keeps the unit secure. The hinges on the back are in great shape as well as the 4 metal feet on the back of the case. The setup chart manual is 50 pages, it is very worn, the cover and back have seperated. The strength of this tester is the ability to rapidly test a bunch of tubes. I replaced all the electrolytic caps with modern units of the same value along with a NOS 6BN8 tube and cleaned all the controls. The previous owner had replaced the 83 rectifier with silicon diodes. And this is acceptable with this model. I did replace them with current production for safety. A few sockets had also been previously replaced as they do wear out. The line cord was a spliced disaster so I installed a new one. I tested it with a variety of tubes using both upper and lower banks. But I did not test all sockets. It was close to my Hickock 6000A in readings so I didn’t mess with the calibration. The owner’s manual gives calibration instructions if it is ever needed, and I will include a PDF of the manual on CD. I noticed in the pictures that the bottom ... morescrew was missing, and I replaced the original screw that I left out when I serviced the tester. Guaranteed for a full refund on return if not as described. And I must be notified within 3 days of receipt. HICKOK 752A TUBE TESTER WITH MANUAL AND SUPPLEMENT
I got this from my Dad about 20 years ago and never used it. Looks to be in very nice condition but has been sitting in my office closet. I have no tubes to test it but it powers up. Has a few marks on it in pencil and a red pencil mark near the center of the face. Has the original manual dated 1965 and the supplement for obsolete tubes dated 1968. Has some adaptors with it. Probably needs to be calibrated and gone over by someone qualified. It is heavy so I will ship economy and with insurance and tracking. If you want otherwise let me know at auctions end. Hickok 550X tube tester. Is overall clean and in good condition. There is some wear to the case covering(see photos) but still in pretty decent shape. The leather handle has some wear but still seems solid. This does power on and I tried a few of the functions and it seems like it all works well but I don't have the equipment to fully test the functions. B&K Model 700 Tube Tester w/ Manual, 131 Tubes, and a quik-chek troublefinder!
B&K Model 700 Tube Tester. This is used to test various tubes. There is also an Instruction guide that tells you what to set each knob at for different types of tubes. I am not 100% sure if the whole manual is there as it is old, but there are 11 pages in the manual front and back on each page covers a lot of tubes. As for the tester itself I plugged it in and turned it on, the red light came on that indicated it was getting power, also on the right the yellow light came on indicating it is ready to test. I have a ton of tubes that were with this so I plugged one in and followed the directions, it lit up as you can see in the photos the tube lit up, so the heater and sensitivity work, I hit the test button and the meter barely moved, but the meter does work obviously if it moved when I hit test. As for the rest of it I do not know how ... moreor what it does. I buy storage auctions and all of this was in the unit. The case on the outside of the tester seems to be in pretty good shape for its age it has normal wear and tear but it is not bad by any means, the hinges on the case hold the case together but the lid will fall off if it slides out of the hinges. Also one of the knobs on the bottom row is missing. That covers the tester next I will discuss the tubes. Tubes- There are 130ish tubes maybe a few more or a few less but it is somewhere in that area doing a quick count. That is including the red thing with the wire you see in the pics I have no clue what that is, as well as various other random nontube items. I would say there are 120 tubes and then 10 other misc. items that are not tubes but are related to the tubes, I guess they are capacitors or something I am not sure im not an expert. All of the tubes are untested, I do not know if you can use them or not, most of them are out of the box except the ones you see in the cigar box they are in the box but I dont know if they are any good or not you will have to test them all yourself. 1955 Allied Knight-Kit Tube Tester-83YX142/3 This is a nice Vintage tube tester from 1955. It is by Allied Radio of Chicago. It has the how to build and trouble shoot manual included. It also instructs how to test tubes. I use to restore and repair old radios and I used it quite a bit years ago. I wanted to make sure it still worked. So I found an old radio stored downstairs and pulled a few tubes out of it to test this evening and a really old tube from a TRF radio I have sitting in my family room. The results are as follows. Which tells me the Tube Tester still works, which is a good thing! 6SK7- Tested good and no shorts or gas problems. 6F6- Had a short from the get go. 80(very old tube) Tested weak but good.
