Vintage Heathkit Tube Tester. Model# TC-3. Works great. Has a built in roll chart for tube test set-up. Test sockets for: 8 pin octal and loctal sockets, 4, 5, 6, 7 pin early type tubes and 7,9 pin miniature tubes. All switches, controls and sockets have been cleaned. Circuit capacitor replaced. Roll chart works very well, window and good power cord. Great for testing amplifier, audio, hi/fi, stereo, guitar amp, radio and tv tubes. Shows some age, but is in overall very good condition. Heathkit is a division of Raytheon Corp. Recently purchased the tester from a storage facility auction. I tested several tubes and appears to work very well. I have sold and tested many a vintage tubes so I do have experience with this tester. This tube tester works GREAT! It's a Heathkit TC-3 and like the TC-1 and TC-2. This model has been a work horse. This one has been sitting in my ham shack for many years looking a little forlorn. It needs a new happy home! I have included the tubes that I had on hand. I was going to make a spreadsheet and test all of the tubes and after about 10 tests. I gave up on that idea. If you want the tubes, have at them! All 10 of the ones I tested were in good shape but that does not mean all of them are. I suspect most of them are in good working order, though. I have tested many tubes with this TC-3 and it gives accurate results- shown testing a NOS 6L6. and a used 6V6 tube that is in fair condition. All lamps working, the rollchart moves smoothly and evenly, all controls working fine, all knobs in great shape, both the meter window and the rollchart window are tight and nice and clear, all panel print excellent and virtually no wear by the rollchart thumbwheels, there are just a couple of spots of wear on front panel, please see the many photos. This tester is missing the handle and the plastic window for the chart. The window is included and it is not necessary for use. I have tested this with a 6SN7 tube and it tested the tube fine.
