Vintage test equipment in used condition. Has missing/wrong screws on face plate. There is some electrical tape around the power cord where it goes through the plaate. The carrying case shows signs of wear but overall very good condition. The paper reel is intact with no tears and the thumb dial works smoothly. Testing: Unit powers up. The line adjust works. Tested a few known good and bad tubes on the 9-pin socket only. It"passed" the good tubes and"failed" the bad ones so it appears to be somewhat functional. Up for auction is a rare Heathkit TT-1 tube tester. The unit comes complete with the user manual. As well as the original construction manual. Overall, the unit is in great physical condition. The faceplate sparkles with hardly a scratch on it! The outer case is somewhat faded, but the cloth is intact with the exception of on tear(see photos below) Some of the metal hardware has a little rust, but nothing too serious. I actually owned a TT-1 a few years back. And loved it. It's a great tube tester for someone who tests common audio tubes(6L6, 6V6, EL34, EL84, 12AX7, 6SN7, etc) The unit powered right up as the previous owner said it would, however, some of the knobs were very stiff, and a few would not turn at all. The TV-7 series of military tube testers is considered one of the best testers ever made. The design is supremely rugged and compact. It tests a great many types quickly and easily and enjoys wide support. If you want a tube tester that gives great results with a small footprint the TV-7 is it. This tube tester is in decent condition for it's age. I tried it with several different tubes and it appears to work correctly. I did not try every socket and would assume the switches could use cleaning. There are five paper rolls beside the one in the machine. there is also an ad from 1958 for the company and a letter dated 1972 checking for an update. HICKOK 752 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester VG Condition/ Works/ Great for Audio Very nice Hickok model 752. These are the famous FAA type tube testers. Clean inside and out. Excellent panel and working roll chart. There is some normal wear around the roll chart thumb wheel and short switch otherwise looks great. The outer black fabric case is in much better shape than normally found. Please see the pictures for condition. Clean. Original chassis. Tested fine with several typical audio tubes. The 752 has some special features not found on most Hickok tube tester. One of these features is the ability to check double section tubes(like 12AX7) without resetting the selector switches to test the second triode. You simply push the"Plate 2" button and the quality of the second tube section is automatically registered on the meter. This ... moremakes this tester an ideal one for the audiophile market as audio equipment is typically loaded with double triodes. Hickock replaced the 539 with the 752. These still used the basic Hickok GM two tube circuit and the 752 was considered a laboratory tester and had additional functions such as the second grid setting and capability to test multistage tubes without reconfiguration. While this tester is working fine. it is highly recommended that the switches and contacts be cleaned and it be checked out by a qualified technician. The tester in in excellent working condition. It's beautiful, I don't know that a guy could ask for much more. It comes with the original build books, and even the supplementary tube charts. The inside shows very little signs of use, the outside has just a few scuffs. Only other thing worth mentioning, 2 of the rubber stick on feet have come off the case. The tester hasn't been used since the early 80's. I can't say it enough, excellent condition. Thanks for looking! Up for auction is a EICO model 625 emission tube tester with a EICO 610 adapter. This vintage Tube Tester was designed to test practically all vintage radio. Jukebox, guitar amplifier and television receiving tubes and a few transmitting tubes. The main unit is a Model 625. Made by EICO, Electronic Instrument Co. The EICO 625 has many several tube sockets including ones for 4 and 5-pin tubes. The additional EICO Tube Tester Adapter model 610, has a 5 Pin Nuvistor, 7 Pin, Nuvistor, a Novar, a 12 Pin Compactron and a 10 Pin Miniature. The adaptor consists of inter-wired sockets, plus a 9-wire cable terminated in a 9-pin miniature plug that is inserted in the socket on the tube tester. A tenth connection is provided by a capterminal on the adaptor to which is connected a grid cap lead of the tube tester. The normally blank key space on the compactron ... moresocket in the adaptor is drilled to permit a compactron to be inserted in the socket with the key at any desired position, so as to permit all sections of the compactron to be tested without switching. This is a really cool unit that not only allows you to match preamp tubes for gain and output. But also to audio test them for microphonics using headphones or the built in speaker; even a scope output to see the tube's actual wave! You can even hook up a signal generator or music source to the input and listen to/see the tube's response. It is in good cosmetic shape considering the age of the unit. Some scratches. This tester does preform all the tests. And functions in all positions. I have noticed the high gain microphonic test to be very sensitive. Some tubes that would work in most amp positions seem exhibit some microphonic tendencies in this circuit. It could need some adjustment. Or it might be perfectly fine. Maybe that's ... morewhat makes this tester such a good mousetrap for tube screening! I am listing and selling it for use as is. I tested a 12AX7 and 6SN7(both known to be good) And got seemingly accurate results. This isn't going to be the most precise tube tester on the market, but if you simply need to know whether or not a tube is functional and to what extent, this is the one for you. Up for sale is a later model emission tube tester that includes sockets and test data for Compactron. Novar and most other recent vacuum tubes. This tester can test many audio and transmitter(sweep) tubes. Comes complete with an assembly manual, schematic and two test data charts. Also included is an"as-built" schematic which is a little different from the one included in the assembly manual. The tester is in good to very good condition(see pictures) and works as designed. All sockets. Controls and transformer voltages have been tested, and the line setting has been calibrated. The CTI TC-20 is designed just like the Heathkit IT-17& IT-21 series of tube testers, and the test data charts are interchangeable between them. The TC-20 has the following sockets: Octal Loctal Miniature 7& 9 pin(the 9 pin socket is actually a 9+1 ... moreB10G type that can accept 10-pin tubes such as the 6C9) Nuvistor Novar(9-pin Compactron type) Compactron(12 pin) Most tubes with the above socket types can be tested with this unit. The first 3 pics show it testing a 6L6GB. 12AX7, and a 6LQ6. When operating there is a slight AC hum which seems to have no effect on operation. Over the years, I have had several of these testers with the same hum, so for whatever reason, it appears to be rather common. The transformer does not overheat. Of course. The leakage detection circuitry is not found in most emission testers. The Mighty Mite IV TC-136 is designed to test newer tubes such as Octal, 7-pin miniature, 9-pin miniature, Nuvistor, novar, Loctal, and Compactron. I have owned many Tempo One and FT-200 transceivers with the 7360 Balanced Modulator and 6JS6C Final Tubes which this tester will test. Other common tubes it will test is the 6L6 and 6146 series. Shown in the photo is a 6883 under test. The 100-Megohm ... moreleakage detection is invaluable for verifying tubes for use. Included is the original Set-up Manual which was glued inside the top cover, but is now detached for easy use. The hinges, latch, power cord, Grid-Cap lead, sockets, knobs, switches, and Meter are all fully functional. The face of the instrument is smudged from use, as is visible in the photos. The paint on the outer metal case is a re-paint, but looks okay, even with minor rust on the bottom.
