This tube tester is in decent condition for it's age. I tried it with several different tubes and it appears to work correctly. I did not try every socket and would assume the switches could use cleaning. There are five paper rolls beside the one in the machine. there is also an ad from 1958 for the company and a letter dated 1972 checking for an update. The case has some deep scratches and the hinges are missing from the cover. The original foil tag is still on the handle as well. Thanks for looking.

Attic find. I'm sure that in the day this was state of the art but by today's standards it's a dinosaur. And I'm sure that when it was stashed away so many years ago"dad" was sure he'd need it again. It absolutly needs a new power cord before it could even be tested safely but, after noticing some screws missing on the cover I had to open it up to make sure it wasn't gutted. As you can see in the pictures aside from a coating of dust the interior looks surprisingly good with no evidence that anything but age has deteriorated the cord on the outside of the cover, even the paper roll looks quite good. This is a large heavy object so shipping will be quoted as parcel post. You are bidding on a used Jackson Tube Tester Model 634 from the 1940's. Tester appears to be in decent shape for it's age. There are a lot of signs of wear on the outside of the case and handle as it is missing some paint and there is some rust on the outside. Tester comes with original testing sheets although I am not sure if they are complete or not as all the pages are loose and clipped onto the inside of the tester. It does not come with a book but it can be easily found on the internet. We actually have not tested any tubes on this tester at all so it is being sold as is. (Hickok) Military TV-2C Tube tester, Excellent operating cond. Cal checked NR
This is a nice Military TV-2c(the lastest version) in excellent operating condition. And good cosmetic condition. This is considered by some to be one of the best testers based on the Hickok Gm circuit. I've gone through the complete cal check(there are a few errors in the procedure) and added a few checks of my own. Everything checks out fine and I've tested a bunch of tubes(see the list iin the c/o sheet(last 3 pictures) This includes spare tubes(83 and 6X4) The screen supply rectifier's(6X4) heater is on a winding of the plate/ screen transformer. This causes screen voltage drift as a result of changing the plate fine adjust. This issue is nicely resolved by changing the screen rectifier to diodes, I made a 7 pin plug-in adapter for this. Every switch, pot and meter operate fine. The case has the usual dents and scrapes and ... moreif you're fussy it could use a paint job. The interior and front panel. Including the knobs and meters, are in excellent condition. The roll chart in the lid works very smoothly with no binding. The original manual is in good condition. There are a number of manuals(operating and test) manuals available on the BAMA site: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 and Shipping will be by UPS for 56 lbs from 91784. The dimensional weight rules(UPS and USPS) for the box are what determines this shipping weight. This will require a 24 x 24 x 16in. box for safe shipping. Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester Must See 7868 6550 EL34 6SN7
This is a model IT-21 tube tester made by Heathkit. It is in excellent condition and is working very well. This will test 4. 5, 6, 7 prong older tubes, 7, 9, 10 pin miniature, octal, loctal, nuvistor, 9, 12 pin compactron, and pilot lights. Some of the tubes this will test are O1A, 6l6, 6550, 12AX7, 7591, 45, 50, 71A, 6SN7, and hundreds more. Notice the 3 tubes I tested with this tester. I even tested a known weak EL34 and it tested bad. All filament voltage selections on the switch were tested. The plastic window has come un-glued over the tube chart roll. I will include this if you decide to put it back on. Tester front panel shows a little normal wear. Case looks great. Unit is un-restored, and un-modified. Here is a vintage Precision Tube Master Series 10-12 Tube and Battery Tester that's in very nice and also in as very clean condition. Its marked and was made by Precision Apparatus Company in Elmhurst New York and research told me the Series 10-12 was introduced in 1947 and that it was the foundation model for the Precision Series 10-15, 10-20, 10-22 and 10-54 models, research also told me that when these are found there wood cases are usually heavily damaged with scratches, stains and chipped from field use but notice in the photos this wood case didn't even know what field use was looking like new. I think the reason this is in such nice condition is that it was not used much at all, it came out of a very clean and well to do home and it was found neatly wrapped in a blanket inside a trunk. This has been plugged in with lights working ... moreas well as its meter working plus notice its also with many booklets. This is heavy and a large unit measuring with lid closed 17 1/4 inches long by 14 inches wide by 7 inches deep and it doesn't show in the photos but it also has four feet on its back side like showing on its bottom in the photos. Hickok 533 Vacuum Tube Tester W/ Crt Adapter
I do not know how well this tester is calibrated etc. However. It turns on, and the one 12ay7 tube I had to test it with that i knew was good showed as such.Needle moves when button is pushed. The reel with all the tube names and properties Is completely legible and rolls properly. Main and"Short" Fuses appear to work, was unable to figure out how to test the bias fuse, but it isnt obviously blown. The 9 pin socket I tested the 12ay7 appears to be worn, as the tube only lights up when not entirely seated on the socket and feels loose when put in. I am unable to test the other sockets. Cosmetically, In my opinion it appears to be in pretty great shape, but my vintage electronics knowledge base is layman at best. Whether you collect vintage Western Electric Tube Audio Amplifiers or if you collect vintage tube testers. This is one that you don't see every day. This is likely the earliest Western Electric tube tester you will find. It isn't even branded with the Western Electric name, yet, but is has the KS(Kearney Specification) number on it that Western Electric assigned to all of its gear. It also includes a blueprint for the octal to 9 pin miniature adapter that is included and the blueprint is from the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania(Western Electric was the purchasing agent for all Bell Telephone companies) This is made by Hickok as their model 531 tester and includes the Hickok setup book and a roll chart installed in the tester. Hickok Model 540 Tube Tester
This was my Uncles.A USN radioman during WW II and I believe he kept it as a souvenir but I'm not sure; I do know it has sat in a closet for 45 years at least and it is time for it to go. I'm old enough to remember tubes but have no clue whether or not this still works, but plugged in it seems to power up. Inside the case is okay, the exterior of the case is rough but structurally sound. There is some paperwork that appears to be a partial manual that goes with the unit. This unit is as-is with no warranty, so check the photos, bid accordingly there are no refunds; I want it gone, hopefully someone knows more about this than I do and could use it.

This auction includes a Jackson model 658-1 vacuum tube tester in good working condition and with it's original owner's manual and supplemental tube data booklet. As the photos show. This unit is quite clean for it's age and all of the controls and push-buttons operate smoothly. All of the sockets are clean and are not cracked anywhere. The power cord is still in great shape without being brittle and the scroll tube data chart is still easy to read. The photos show this tester testing a 6L6 output tube(tube not included in auction) and, in addition, I took another photo showing that the AC line level is able to be set properly. There is a small crack in the meter cover however, it does not affect the functionality or readability of the meter. I was not able to get the small crack to show up in my photos. The tube tester“line adjust“ works and a#6CW5/EL86 electron tube was tested and both the tube and tester worked. Weston 774 - 4 Tube Tester and Set Analyzer with Original Bill of Sale MORE
This item is a Weston 774-4 Tube Tester and Set Analyzer. The panel is in very good condition. It can be used as a stand alone tube tester or a radio/audio set analyzer. It uses a type 71A tube inside. When used as a set analyzer. The adapter socket for a particular tube(say a 24A would use the 5 pin adapter) is plugged into the socket in the upper right, the tube plugged into that adapter, and a cable coming from the tube tester is plugged into a socket adapter to plug into the radio chassis. Then, voltage and current measurements may be made under operation. Here is some more information about what was tested and included in the sale. TESTING: The line adjust works. The meter works, and tested a 24A and a 12A6 tubes. They tested good, and no shorts were noted. I don't know if the calibration is good or if any components drifted, so ... morethis sale is listed as for parts. But the tester seems to work and may need a bit of refurbishing. The operation is not obvious. And I strongly recommend reading the included Instruction Manual. It will need batteries inside to use the voltmeter function. WHAT IS INCLUDED: The Original Bill of Sale from 1947. Purchased from Smith-Meeker Engineering, Agents for War Assets Administration. At the bottom of the bill of sale, it states that the check should be made out to"Treasurer of the United States" The Instruction Book with Restricted Instructions and the Schematic Diagram. Two charts for testing Signal Corps tubes Two charts for testing Commercial Tubes Tube testing chart in the lid. A multitude of test socket adapters. What you see is what you get. All the sockets are in a single picture. And the other pictures just show a different look or angle of the same amount of adapters. The sockets in the tube tester picture were included with the others. The tube tester adapter for a 7 pin miniature is there, but the 7 pin miniature adapter which plugs into the radio socket and set analyzer cord is missing. And. Vintage Triplett model 1185 antique tube tester for National Radio Institute
For auction is this great old 1940 Triplett tube tester from the National Radio Institute training course model1185. It is in good condition but the working condition is unknown. It is in a metal case where most all the paint has come off as shown. It looks like it had a wrinkle finish on it. It comes with all the tube charts and schematic and will test tubes from 01A to 99's and everything in between.
