This radio is marked Chassis# 6A41 and is the Zenith Trans-Oceanic 600 Deluxe Series. This radio was the deluxe model with a brown leather case. This model was one of Ernest Hemingway's favorite radios. He often listened to Cuba SW broadcasts from his Key West residence. The radio is 100% original and never repaired. Rare Vintage Zenith 800 880 Universal Color Television Test Rig TV Tester 20"
Hi. You are bidding on a rare Zenith Universal Color Television test Rig#800-880. The tube is 20 inches diagonally. I put power to cords and TV powered up but that all I did for fear of ruining something I know nothing about. Shipping will be a little high on this item. Antique Portostat DC Voltmeter From 1920's
You are bidding on a meter made by Allen Electric Mfg. Co. and trademarked Portostat used for measuring voltage of A batteries for 1920s radios. These radios used tubes with low filament voltage. The scale on this voltmeter reads 0-2.5 VDC with marks for dead. Discharged, partly charged and charged. It worked when I checked it on a flashlight battery. The meter is copper plated and has no dents. I didn't see any scratches on the case and just minor scratch on the glass covering the dial. There is some discoloration at on the top left. Please see the pictures listed which shows the discoloration. I am not sure if it may have had a clear coat of lacquer or similar substance applied to protect from tarnish. I just can't tell. There is a small area of wear where the brass is showing through and you can see it in the last picture listed. ... moreIt was hard to get the picture due to lighting issues. It measures about 2 1/2 inches across the dial, 3 inches at the base, and 1 5/8 inches deep. Normal 0 Just before listing this on Ebay I did an Ebay search for the HP 427A and found about five of them. All listed at buy-it-now prices from $250.00 to $500.00 each. None comes with a power cord, input cable or manual and all are listed as probably needing calibration. This unit is up for bid starting at $90.00, a real bargain since it is fully tested, calibrated and guaranteed to work perfectly. The HP 427A is a solid state VTVM equivalent with greater accuracy and sensitivity. This instrument has been completely refurbished and calibrated against a Fluke 8520A laboratory DMM and 0.01% precision resistors. A calibration data sheet is supplied(see photo) It is in very good cosmetic condition. As shown in the photos. Up for auction is an antique wooden milliampere meter. It's difficult to establish the age of this item but I'm assuming that it's rather old. Likely early 1900s. I was unable to identify any brand markings on this meter making it a unique piece. The leather handle is still intact although it is dry. There is some wear on this item as seen in the pictures.
