Both items are in extremely beautiful condition, and are truly some awesome surviving remnants of America's past, specifically its participation in World War 2. Both units are still equipped with the original documentation which they came with. The Voltmeter is dated November of 1921 while the Ammeter is dated May of 1937. Similarly. Both units are stamped on the outside of their wooden case with Serial/Model numbers, as well as the Manufacturer's information and the patent dates, the most recent of which is 1901, while the oldest is 1888. Weston antique voltmeter ammeter Model 56
Sold as-is- not sure if it works. I don't know much about this unit other than the listing title! Model 56. Serial number 2925. Last patent date is 16 July 1901. The case has scuffs and is missing a chunk where one of the hinges used to be, but it's still a cool-looking device that I never got around to playing with. I am basically giving it away because it would be sad to have to recycle it.

This is a vintage set of Weston Model 528 Voltmeter and Ammeter. They are previously used but have not been tested to see if they are currently in working condition. They were first produced in 1929 and these particular models feature Bakelite cases. The Voltmeter measures up to 150 volts. The Ammeter has a low range of 0-3 amps and high range of 0-15 amps. This is one of those items. All items were in working order. There are several different types of testers. My husband knows about some but not this type. We have no way of testing this. It is clean and neat looking. The paper in the front that tells about the tester is dated March 6, 1951. And that box is very interesting. Very heavy about 14 pounds.

This is for a Weston Electrical Instrument Corp D. C. Ammeter Model 45 patent date 1901. This was calibrated in October 27. 1919. I hooked up a battery and the meter registered a reading. This is in a heavy oak box without the leather handle. Clasp are in very good used shape. This is 8" by 8" by 4 1/2" and weighs 10 lbs 7 oz. It does have all the rubber grommets on the feet. There are a few small pieces of veneer missing or loose. Once screw cap is cracked. Please review photos and they are part of the description.

It has not been tested other than checking that there is continuity between the terminals and there is. It shows signs use but not abuse. It looks to have been opened up at some time and something was wiped off of the center and lower right of the face. The age and origin is unknown to me. This is another estate item from my grandfathers collection of antique auto parts. It's possible that it may not be identified correctly or just don't know where it came from or what it goes to.
