We purchased this antique voltmeter at an estate sale and was told that it was used by the Richmond. Fredericksburg& Potomac Railroad. It has a sticker for the railroad on the outer wooden box and an envelope for the railroad within the box. This is a Weston Model 341 Voltmeter and the paperwork in the box is dated 1954. This instrument is an electrodynamometer voltmeter and if properly used, its indications may be relied upon to within 1/2 of one percent of full scale value. The wooden case has some wear, however, is in nice condition for its age. The Voltmeter appears to be in excellent condition. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. MAHOGANY CASE CIRCA 1950 This is a guaranteed genuine vintage Weston Model 341 AC/DC high frequency voltmeter. It measures voltage in three ranges up to 300 volts. And from 25- 1000 cycles. The meter is equipped with a mirrored, reflected surface in order to reduce parallax, and hence, reading error. It retains its original information sheet. It is housed in a quality mahogany case which measures 10 X 8 X 6 inches. The case is in very good condition, although with some heavy scuffs and gouges consistent with its age and use. There are also several numbers painted on the case. Both the information sheet and stamped on behind the meter panel ... moreis the date 1950.
