Dear bidder, This item is sold as is. It was removed from working avionics repair shop. But I lack the HF experience and tools to test. It powers up and the instruments are responsive when probes are left un-grounded responding to stray HF. Every attempt was made to protect the probes from over voltage and it seems the internal probe amplifiers are in working condition and sensitive to stray HF from other instruments in the shop. When probe tips are grounded the instruments quiet down. The instruments respond to the controls in some way. One of the probes has a dent in the ground sleeve but the electronics inside seem unharmed, one screw-in probe tip is missing, the probe cables are not frayed. All boards are present and all enclosure parts are present. For rack mounting, rack ears have scratched patches around screw holes for grounding purposes. ... morePower button is a little sticky as all HP power buttons. Please refer to the pictures. To the best of my ability. I have put this baby through its paces and have taken multiple pictures in various configurations. I can confirm that it works really well and I couldn’t find a single thing that didn’t work or light that didn’t illuminate! As you can see from the sticker on the front of the unit. This Voltmeter was owned and used by the United States Air Force(they said don’t remove the sticker and I darn sure wasn’t taking it off! so based on what I’ve seen and what I’ve tested, I have to believe that they took really good care of it! The Fluke 5101B powers up and all the buttons respond. In the picturs I show the output and the data screen changing as i turn the edit knob on the far right. That as close as i can get to saying it works. But i believe it does. The HP 8405A is about the same. both needles respond to inputs. I try to figure out if something works by way of youtube and data sheets. If this isn't worth the price ill take a refund no problem. return shipping and all. the fan on the calibrator needs the filter. the degrees needle reverts back to 0 when turned off. which I think it should. both have NASA stickers. Basically the HP is being thrown in. no manuals or anything else other than what is pictured. payment due at time of sale. USPS priority mail.
