When I pick this amp up the pointer in the gauge still moves. There are screws still attached in the back of amp. Good condition. SHURITE D.C. VOTLS MODEL 850 NEW HAVEN CONN. USA. When I pick this amp up the pointer in the gauge still moves. The amp is plastic type. The amp has screws on the back still. There is a copper looking item in the bottom front of this gauge. For auction a Used Western Electric 321-L DC Amp Meter made by Triplett Elec. Instr. Co. Bluffton, Ohio. Measures 0 to 15 DC Amps and is internally shielded. Part number is KS-14507-L24. Comes with a roughly made enclosure that measures 4 5/8" tall x 3 5/8" wide x 2 1/2" deep. Flange on meter measures 3 1/2" OD and mounting hole would need to be 2 3/4" plus for clearance. Also has 2 leads which measure 29" and have an alligator clip on each end. Checked it with a new D battery that read 8 amps which should be about right. Shipping by Priority Mail.

This is a vintage GE made in the USA analog amp meter. From the design. I'd guess it was made in the late 60's/early 70's. Marked X4 442 on the back side. I tested the functionality by briefly connecting a 9v battery to the meter. The needle responded normally. Mild to moderate cosmetic wear. Scuffs to the faceplate. Calibration screw has wear. There is a bit of debris inside the unit that makes noise when you shake it. Probably a bit of dirt, shouldn't affect the functionality, but I thought I should mention it.
