Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. Model 931 DC Volt Meter This is a very nice vintage volt meter. Has three ranges. 0-3vdc, 015vdc, and 0-150vdc. Everything is fine on this meter and it looks like it has been well cared for. The original leather handle is attached and in super shape. All the rubber feet on the back and bottom of the meter are in fine shape. I plugged this meter on my calibrator and it was working within a few percent on all three ranges. This is a nice meter and needs a good home. If you get it and don't like it. Send it back. If you make an offer, make a reasonable offer. I am thinking of keeping this one myself. Accuracy said to be ¼ of 1% of Full Scale. Resistance at each range is 1098.4, 2196.8, 4393.6 at 25 Deg. C. 75 V terminal knob was replaced. Crack in Bakelite at upper right of panel at +/ terminal has no effect on the instrument. Some scratches on the box. Leather on handle is strong but outer layers flaking. Wt is 11 lbs 6 oz.

This is a beautiful antique piece that was designed to test the voltage of various electronic equipment. This piece was made in 1918 by the Weston Electrical Instrument Company in Newark. New Jersey. The piece is built into a beautiful wood case(likely oak, but we're not certain) with brass latches and hinges. The case opens up to reveal a lower panel with the original company paperwork tag that gives details on usage and the range it can measure. The top part of the interior is a textured metal panel with the volt meter in the center. There ... moreis a brass badge on the front of the piece that says"Made by Weston Electrical Instrument Company, Newark NJ, Patented July 16, 1901, Model 45, Serial No 17449. Just below the badge is a"Correction" mechanism which allows you to calibrate the machine. This is a beautiful antique piece that would be great for any collectors of antique electronic equipment! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The piece has not been tested and we cannot confirm if it works or not. The wood case has some wear from use and age. Including some scratching, light dents and and chips in the wood.I believe there was another cap on the negative side at one time, no longer there. The interior is relatively clean with some light tarnishing from age and some fading and discoloration on the paper label from age. There may have originally been a leather handle on the exterior, but that piece is not included. Overall this is in nice condition for its age, and has a nice antique patina which gives it a classic look. This is an old Weston Electrical Instrument Co. Portable A.C. and D.C. Voltmeter. Model 18, No. 5617, in finished wood box. Has patent date of Nov 11, 1890- Mar 9, 1892- Reissue June 29, 1892- Oct 4, 1898- Mar 22, 1898. Also has date of Aug 2, 1923 when it was standarized and certified at Weston Laboratory, Waverly Park, Newark, NJ. Comes in a hard black leather carrying case along with directions and connection cords. Have no idea if it works, but looks to be in great condition and would make great display piece. Hoyt Electrical Works 17-3AA DC Ammeter 0A - 100A Amp Gauge 2 Stud
I bought this Hoyt Electrical Instrument Co. Model No. 17-3 AA DC Ammeter in a box lot from an estate sale. It has two posts on the back and mounts around the edge with three small screws. It reads 0 to 100A and and looks to be in good condition overall. The glass window on the front popped free of its seal at some point. But it looks like it could be reattached easily. The mounting hole diameter is 2 3/16" and the backside depth is 1 3/4" including the studs. I have not tested it, so I am listing it as for parts/not working.
