Shown is a nice old' ANTIQUE VOLT/ AMP DOUBLE METER' Brass housing with an aluminum back plate. 7" x 3 3/4" x 2 3/4 inches. Maker marked to the' Roller Smith Co. Bethlehem. Pa USA' I have no way of telling if this is in working order- could still work perfectly. But selling as a display item. Both needle move when the meter is moved. There is an internal light bulb- see photo. Paper label on the back has what appears to be a date of 89' or 09' which looks to be about the right time period. Nice looking instrument. I present here two beautiful WORKING meters removed from a high voltage laboratory power supply from times past. The Volt meter has scales from 0-1.0. 0-10, 0-20 and 0-50 volts dc. The amp meter has scales from-3, 0, +10, 15, 0, +50, 30, 0, +100, 150, 0, +500 Amps DC. The amp meter zero's up from the bottom of the scale at the zero point. Both meters can be scaled with resistor voltage dividers to any one of these or any other desirable measurement scale as long as the actual movement does not exceed the 1.0 ma. full scale rating of the meters as is common to most meters of this vintage. I am offering them together because they both came from the same power supply and should maybe be used together for a nice presentation on the front of a piece of equipment. The actual meter face measurement is 4-1/2 inches diameter and the hole size ... moreis 3-5/8 inches diameter. The +/ connections are labeled on the back and are the UPPER connectors not the lower ones. The meters are factory sealed. These are really nice high visibility meter faces and scales. This is a vintage General Electric clamp-on a m meter and voltmeter with a rotating scale in working used condition. It comes with its original leather case in somewhat rough shape but serviceable. The leads have been soldered to the base of the meter- don't know if this was original or a modification. But have just tested them and they do function. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment. I am not a tool person so I will read what I see on each item: VTG BLACK METAL(THIS IS HEAVY) 1-300"W" AMPS METER-On the back it has"use with external shunt" W M-206. When I pick this amp up the pointer in the gauge still moves. There are screws still attached in the back of amp. Good condition. SHURITE D.C. VOTLS MODEL 850 NEW HAVEN CONN. USA. When I pick this amp up the pointer in the gauge still moves. The amp is plastic type. The amp has screws on the back still. There is a copper looking item in the bottom front of this gauge. Vintage ATS Advance Trades School Utility Tester Amp Volt Meter
Available for your consideration this Advance Trades School Amp/Volt Meter Utility Tester. We found this and another in a long term storage bin. This meter is clearly used. It has scratches and marks on it. There is a piece of clear tape dried up on the volt meter window though it does not appear to be covering a crack. I plugged this tester in then plugged another device into the onboard outlet. The result was very anti-climatic as nothing happened. I flipped the three position switches in a bunch of combinations without result. It is possible that this thing needs a new fuse but I can't tell as its a paper wrapped fuse. The fuse is marked LittelFuse USA on one end and 314 3AB 20A- 250V on the other. This meter is about 10x6x3 inches. Since I was not able to get this one working we are selling it AS-IS For Parts.
