Vintage Westinghouse- DC Amperes Meter Gauge- Model 420-GL. First of all. I am not mechanical at all and I have no idea what this device is used for. I am only reporting what is written on the face of the device. So, I will tell you what I see in layman's terms. The face covering is glass, the casing on the front and sides are hard plastic and could be Bakelite. There are 2 screw type things on the back with bolts. The face covering and the casing are in good condition. I do not see any issues. I have no idea if it works or not. It is about 4 5/8" x 4 1/8 across the front x 1 3/4" wide(not including the screws) NOTE: SHIPPING will be reduced if you live in a state close to Maryland. Wait for invoice from me to pay.

This is a vintage GE made in the USA analog amp meter. From the design. I'd guess it was made in the late 60's/early 70's. Marked X4 442 on the back side. I tested the functionality by briefly connecting a 9v battery to the meter. The needle responded normally. Mild to moderate cosmetic wear. Scuffs to the faceplate. Calibration screw has wear. There is a bit of debris inside the unit that makes noise when you shake it. Probably a bit of dirt, shouldn't affect the functionality, but I thought I should mention it. Western Electric D.C. Amp meters. They measure from 0 to 50 amps. I dont know if they work as I have no idea how to test them. The needles do float freely and return to 0 when they are shaken gently.
