This is for a used WESTON MODEL 622 DC ANALOG VOLTMETER in working condition. This meter has nine(9) DC scales. 1.5v. 3v, 7.5v,15v, 30v, 75v, 150v, 300, 750v. All scales are in working order. It makes a great bench meter for sure. But with the heavy case and strap, it can be utilized in the field. I have used one like this for years on my bench to verify DC power supplies in all kinds of electronics. The mirror allows for very accurate analog readings. The large analog meter is very nice for us older folks who can't see like we once did! I don't really want to let this one go, but I have so much stuff, some has to go to someone else! Unusual twin-movement Weston Model 56 DC Voltmeter - Steampunk!- Tested, working
This monster is over a foot wide and weighs almost 12 pounds. Manufactured by the Weston Electrical Instrument Co. Model 56; Serial No. 2149 The LEFT movement has binding posts labeled 3 volts. 150 volts, and 300 volts. All ranges tested and working. The RIGHT movement has a binding post labeled 50 MV. Touching an almost-dead AA cell to it causes the meter to deflect. I am not sure what this half of the meter is actually designed for. As the scale reads to 500 and there is a big"A" engraved in the brass(as opposed to the"V"for-volts on the opposite side) Professional quality. Presumably cost a mint back in 1901, the newest date of its patents. The wooden case is intact, but shows every bit of its 100+ year age. The feet are"new" replacements from the 1970's. MAHOGANY CASE CIRCA 1950 This is a guaranteed genuine vintage Weston Model 341 AC/DC high frequency voltmeter. It measures voltage in three ranges up to 300 volts. And from 25- 1000 cycles. The meter is equipped with a mirrored, reflected surface in order to reduce parallax, and hence, reading error. It retains its original information sheet. It is housed in a quality mahogany case which measures 10 X 8 X 6 inches. The case is in very good condition, although with some heavy scuffs and gouges consistent with its age and use. For auction is a Vintage Weston DC Voltmeter. Model 901, circa 1956. I am basing the date on what is stamped on the back of the piece(pictured) I don’t have the proper tools or know-how to test it so I am auctioning it strictly AS-IS and untested. This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you would expect from a vintage piece but no cracks that I can see. One of the two testing wires is missing(pictured) But that shouldn’t be hard to fix/ replace. This piece can use a good light cleaning but I didn’t do anything to the surface as I know collectors like to determine what needs done. It has what looks like the original leather handle. This is a beautiful antique piece that was designed to test the voltage of various electronic equipment. This piece was made in 1918 by the Weston Electrical Instrument Company in Newark. New Jersey. The piece is built into a beautiful wood case(likely oak, but we're not certain) with brass latches and hinges. The case opens up to reveal a lower panel with the original company paperwork tag that gives details on usage and the range it can measure. The top part of the interior is a textured metal panel with the volt meter in the center. There ... moreis a brass badge on the front of the piece that says"Made by Weston Electrical Instrument Company, Newark NJ, Patented July 16, 1901, Model 45, Serial No 17449. Just below the badge is a"Correction" mechanism which allows you to calibrate the machine. This is a beautiful antique piece that would be great for any collectors of antique electronic equipment! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The piece has not been tested and we cannot confirm if it works or not. The wood case has some wear from use and age. Including some scratching, light dents and and chips in the wood.I believe there was another cap on the negative side at one time, no longer there. The interior is relatively clean with some light tarnishing from age and some fading and discoloration on the paper label from age. There may have originally been a leather handle on the exterior, but that piece is not included. Overall this is in nice condition for its age, and has a nice antique patina which gives it a classic look. WESTON MODEL 622 THERMAL AC/DC VOLTMETER SN 35314 METER AT&T
Manufactured in 1974 this meter is in'almost new' condition. No chips or cracks in the case. The leather handle retains its soft new feel and is not worn. The only distraction is the fact that AT&T branded it with their inventory number and someone engraved AT&T on the cover. Calibration is spot on. The last two photos compare readings of the meter and my Fluke 75. First photo is measuring the AC mains. Second photo is lower voltage AC through a Variac. I have owned and used this instrument for almost 10 years since acquiring at a auction. The large mirrored scale is easy to read. Unfortunately I need to downsize my equipment and the digitals are more compact. Unfortunately. This meter will not safely fit into a large USPS fixed rate box. SORRY! I have no way of knowing the mechanical condition, but I see no signs of abuse that would make me think it doesn't work. Vintage Weston DC Voltmeter. Model 45 Serial Number 56833, Dated Sept. 1946 A few specific things you should know about this voltmeter. It is in really good condition. It has all the original knobs and leather handle. It is hard to find one that still has the knobs and handle. The Serial number is 56833 and it is hand dated and signed on September 17. 1946. The case has a few wear marks on it, that I believe would clean up nicely with some wood polish. I did not clean it up myself, so that the next owner had the option to clean it up or not. There are 2 little, looks like screw marks on the front, as if it had another metal label on it. This could be filled if you wanted with some wood filler.
