D.C. Milliamperes meter with dual scales: 0-30 and 0-150. Corresponding Low and High binding posts and common + post. Case is bakelite and back is metal. Glass and meter face in excellent condition. I believe this meter is surplus from the laboratories of Wright Field. Dayton Ohio. The instrument is functioning. Although I have no idea if the function is correct or accurate. I tested by connecting a battery across the posts. The needle responded. I have no idea if the response was correct. Markings from dial: Milliamperes D.C. Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. Newark, N.J. U.S.A. Model 489 No. 37646 Meter measures 3 3/16 wide x 3 7/8 inches long and is 1 7/8 inch tall.

For auction is a Weston Instrument Company A.C. Milliamperes A.C. meter. Model 433, 25-500 cycles, circa 1940( This was an estate find. So I don’t know too much about this piece or if it works. I don’t have the proper tools or know-how to test it so I am auctioning it strictly AS-IS. This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you would expect from a vintage piece but no cracks that I can see. This piece can use a good light cleaning but I didn’t do anything to the surface as I know collectors like to determine what needs done. No probes/ wires are included– just what is pictured(except for my tape measure) I believe the case is Bakelite. But am not sure– it could be plastic. I took pictures with and without flash to try to capture the most details. Please ask any questions you may have– thanks for looking. Recently. This item is a: Untested. But good looking vintage Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. Milliamp meter. Measuring Milliamperes D. C. this meter has 2 poles on the back& 3 holes around the brass rim for mounting in a board. The back is black plastic& it appears as if all the nuts and washers are there that were used to connect this in the original application. There is some notation scratched into the black plastic back. There are 2 mounting screws around the edge that look to be original. There is a serial number of 857867 lower right. Want to create a cool old fashioned looking board with lots of dials& gauges? Going for a Steampunk look? Here is a gauge(one of 3 I am listing this week) that will help you along. 3 ¼ inches in diameter overall, small calibration screw at front of glass near the bottom.
