FOR SALE is my HEATHKIT IM-5228 VTVM(Vacuum Tube Volt Meter) which I purchased from the Heathkit Store brand new in 1983. This was a late production model as you can tell by the blue case. The condition is excellent. The pictures pretty well tell the story. It has seen very little use. The switchable probe is stored in an attached vinyl pouch. The adjustable bracket serves as a swivel stand or a wall or under-shelf mounting bracket. I did remove the battery. But it's included as is the full assembly& user manual. This portable unit is being sold as is because it hasn't been tested. it needs 2 B batteries to test it. The meter is in fair cosmetic condition for its age with some rust along the sides. It is a good conversation piece for someone who collects 50's style technology. Again it is being sold as is with no returns except for damage during shipping. No manuals. All of this is government surplus. I tried to find one like it on the net. And I could not find one. So you have a RARE item here. I included the patent application. Up for bid is this Vintage Heathkit Vacuum Tube Voltmeter Model# V-7A.The back looks like its been repainted and the face has two small cracks.It powers up good as the needle moves smoothly as you turn the knobs.It has the original leads.I put tape on the very pointy ends so you can't get stabbed with them.
