I am fond of the Heathkit meters and using. Servicing and restoring these meters is enhanced by a good understanding of their use and operation. VINTAGE HEATHKIT VACUUM TUBE VOLTMETER IM-5228 ORIGINAL PROBE + 1977 MANUAL VERY GOOD OVERALL CONDITION- WORKS! This vintage Heathkit Vacuum Tube Voltmeter works- all ohm adjustments respond. The battery box has been replaced but is otherwise in very good original condition. The Manual shows typical wear- there are a few spots on the cover and some handwritten check marks on the inside pages but NO tears or missing pages. Outer physical condition of the voltmeter is pre-owned excellent. The only modification is the battery holder has been neatly replaced as shown in the photo due to poor contacts on the original holder. The voltmeter will be shipped without a battery. HEATHKIT V4A VACUUM TUBE VOLTMETER TESTER
You are bidding on a Heathkit model V4A vacuum tube volt meter. The tester is very nice cosmetic condition. It does not sure much wear at all. The only issue is the insulation on the power cord is dried out so the cord needs replaced. All of the other cables are good and pliable still. I did plug it in and the red light lit up and the needle moved. I do not recommend using this until the cord is replaced. Please let me know if you have any questions.
